I've been here several times and my guests, friends, loved ones have all appreciated my gift of a slice or a whole pie from this pie bar. Ube is all the rage right now, and I wanted to try this slice of ube cheesecake. The subtle ube taste with the coconut was just right, and I really enjoyed the slice. They also have this flight that you can try, but i ended up just getting a shot of the key lime which was just as tasty and amazing. Maybe I have Loki to help with the key lime pie experience, but both flavors hit the spot just right. Prices are fair. There's ample seating inside for a three or four tables. They were close to closing and only had vegan slices of fruit pie left, so I went with a lemon bar while my bestie got the ube pie... sooo good! Small talk is cool, but when there's customers inline having a whole life story conversation is inconsiderate and I don't have the patience for that. This is a fun pie shop with several vegan options. The girls behind the counter are always warm and friendly, full of smiles and kindness. They serve pie slices as well as pie in a jar. You can start a punch card for each jar you return and get a treat when the card is full. And of course you can buy an entire pie. I see savory pies in their fridge too. The fruit pies that I have tried are fresh, less sweet, and have a decent crust for it being vegan. I like that I'm not eating a lot of extra sugar and the fruit can shine. Favorite so far is whiskey peach! There is seating inside or out. They have large pillows to lean against inside and a shelf full of different games to play. Things to note: I don't see a public restroom. Parking can be a bit tricky in this busier area but I usually find some metered parking after driving around a few times. Went three times during a work trip. Delicious dessert, though coming from outside California, prices seemed a little steep. Had the Creme Brûlée pie, my favorite, flaky crust and very custardy. This was just what I was looking for in a key lime pie: Tart and sweet (but not overly sweet) lime custard set into a thick, crispy graham cracker crust and topped generously with fresh, lightly sweetened whipped cream. Despite the thickness of the crust, the ratio of crust to filling was good. - Ube Coconut Cheesecake. It was good. I enjoyed the subtle taste of ube, but I was hoping for a stronger coconut presence. There was only shredded coconut on top of the whipped cream. - Dutch Apple. The pie crust softened by the time we got a slice in the late afternoon. Perhaps traditional crust doesn't hold up as well as the graham cracker. It was still good though. I love pie. Any time I travel somewhere, I seek out fresh baked pies. I've eaten a lot of them. A LOT. Honestly, pies around here are hit and miss, mostly miss. But this place is spot on. Two stars because we go there a couple times a month at this point. The pie is good. But it's not spectacular or anything. The best one is the lemon lavender. Super disappointed that we joined the rewards program as we wanted to earn free pie (who wouldn't? lol). We went on April 17th for the Baked Long Beach. We were very eager to try it. We walked in, no signs posted. We asked the cashier who seemed surprised we wanted it. She was nice enough I guess but she didn't give us the chance to ask for the rewards number. She also didn't tell us until she was ringing us up that it cost $25. But whatever. We spent a combined $50-$60 and didn't get a single rewards point. Then when we waited the 15 minutes (like she told us to do) the baked Long Beach was TERRIBLE!!! The crust was rock hard and inedible. There was more marshmallow than anything else. She said it fed 2-4 people. Only 2 of us ate off of it and let's just say the normal pie slices are bigger. read more
