Let's start with the location - this coffee shop is nestled on a corner of a busy street so finding parking might not be the easiest task. They do have their own parking lot, BUT people often stay and hang out so it can be hard to snag a spot. Luckily, I was able to find some street parking that wasn't too far from the shop. The coffee shop offers limited indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe was cute - very beige, washed walls, minimalist etc. The line wasn't too long on a Sunday. I ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich and two drinks. I couldn't decide on a drink, so YES I got two for myself. Breakfast Sandwich - candied bacon, aoli, lettuce, and scrambled egg served with a side of what seemed to be homemade chips. Chips were a bit burnt so it had a bitter aftertaste. The sandwich itself was really good though! I ordered it with sourdough bread and it is served hot. Ube Latte - It was okay. I think I've had better. It was a bit watered down. This is caffiene free but you can add a shot of espresso. Andante Latte - Delicious! I'm not usually a fan of cold brew, but this one was perfectly sweetened and not too strong. Certified Angus beef, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, crispy cheese tuiles, Laveta sauce, and sambal mayo are topped with golden fries sprinkled with truffle seasoning. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The burger tasted like a fancy restaurant-style burger just served in a casual café setting. The burger was the perfect blend of juicy, saucy, and fresh. Alongside the burger the fries were perfectly crispy and had the gourmet taste of truffle. It's rare to find a coffee shop that nails both the drink and food game. The service also adds to the experience. The staff are super friendly and chill, and even when it's busy, they never make you feel like you need to rush. The only minor negative is that during peak hours, it's hard to find seats, but really, that just shows how good this place is. So, all in all, Laveta is worth visiting if you ever happen to drop by LA. Being an Orange County resident, Laveta is worth the drive. Every time I drive by this place ... it always seems busy. I always see a crowd and without fail, people outside. After having been here a few times now, I completely understand why! There are many reasons why I really appreciated this place. 1. There's a parking lot. (Although it's still hard to get an actual parking spot. It's nice that there is a parking lot, but it's not massive. There was one instance, when even the 10 minute parking spots were all occupied.) 2. There's outdoor seating. 3. Came here with some friends to try out this spot while visiting LA. It was super rainy the day we went and parking is very limited so we had to circle around the hilly block a few times. It's not that big inside with limited seating along the perimeter. More like bench seating and small little counter tops as the "tables". It was very busy when we went so I somewhat had high expectations and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I ordered the barista horchata and it was prob the best horchata I've had in my life. It had a creamier taste/texture to it and I love creamy drinks. The flavor was perfectly balanced as well. I never drank a coffee so fast. My friend got the ube latte and it was very yummy as well. My drink was amazing but the sandwich I had to have it remade because on the menu it didn't specify that it had a special sauce. Once I let the girl in the front know she corrected it for me. If I could come to this cafe every weekend I would. Unbeatable minimalistic ambiance that feels like you're walking into a desert of sorts, and the monochromatic theme is soothing to just be in. Some of the friendliest and chillest workers/baristas I've ever met as well, and my order came out surprisingly fast for what I selected. Chicken and waffles w/agave nectar and house gravy ($17): fried to perfection with cornflakes (?!) scattered about. Ube waffle was unique and delicious, with a generous but not overwhelmingly sweet taste of ube that gave it that gorgeous purple color. This place was such a vibe, they have a decent amount of seating both inside and outside, considering this place is on the smaller side. The coffee was surprisingly really tasty 7.5/10. The food is what really sold me on this place though. I will say some of the combinations did catch me off guard but in a pleasant way. The staff were very welcoming. It's a double espresso, with a chaga mushroom mix with cacao, cinnamon, vanilla, and monk fruit with almond or oat milk. Great drink! This cafe was literally so aesthetic, different than any cafe I'd been to, and something I wish was local to me! I was in LA for the weekend, and needed a little a pick me up before heading to Disneyland. My friends and I came across this cafe. Through the pictures on yelp, I immediately thought it resembled Kim Kardashian's home or something. I was super curious and wanted to see it for myself! From the outside, it looks like a quaint coffee shop on the corner of the road, but when you walk in, you feel like you literally have teleported into something like a museum. I got the Iced Horchata, my bf got the Iced Matcha, and we shared the Avocado Toast. Good thing we opted to share the toast because that thing was massive! It was super filling, and I love how they had pickled carrots on it to add that extra flavor. The bread was soft, yet crunchy, one of the best avo toasts I've ever had! Aside from that, our coffees were really yummy. Not too sweet. It looks like this place was literally popping. The mobile orders were coming thru, the line was almost out the door at one point. Cute minimalist coffee shop in Echo Park. There was lots of people inside but there was no line. I ordered the Barista Horchata with a shot of espresso. I would say the horchata definitely strayed a little from a traditional one, but they still managed to keep that strong cinnamon flavor. The one shot of espresso tasted just right as I think more would've overshadowed the actual flavor of the drink. The interior looked very cute as they used cement textures on the wall, floor, and seating. It looked all cohesive and I really enjoyed that aspect. I've only been once but it might be one of my top LA cafes. My breakfast plate was filling and had so much variety - seasoned hash brown, eggs, delicious sweet bacon, cheesy tomato toast, and side salad. It was perfect and felt like a luxurious version of a classic breakfast. I believe they use bread from Clark St!! Their horchata latte was perfectly sweet. It took awhile to receive the food as it's freshly made. It's a really pretty space and it seems like a lot of thought and effort were put into the menu and overall concept. Lol this place is the definition of Arizona chic if that even makes sense. Feels like you're in like Kim kardashians house, or a smaller version. Everything is unicolor and made of stone and very minimalist. Their ube latte was fantastic and definitely a unique taste and experience. I got the ube latte (with almond milk; keep in mind substitution is $1 extra) and cauliflower cheese toast. I really enjoyed the ube latte as it actually taste ube-y. The cauliflower cheese toast was delicious but definitely not what I had in mind as it was chunks of cauliflower. I felt it was a bit pricey overall but I guess that's just everywhere nowadays. This rating is solely based on the matcha and location. Ordered the matcha misto and matcha latte. This location claims the matcha is ceremonial grade, so I was expecting to get a high quality matcha taste and let me tell y'all I was disappointed. The matcha was not strong in taste, it tasted like watered down matcha. The cup is filled with ~75% ice, so my matcha lost flavor so fast. The drink filled half the cup and the other half was creamy top. The agave creamy top was very thick and flavorful, this was honestly the best part of the drink. The matcha latte was the better option, as it did have a more noticeable matcha taste, but it was still very watered down. The cup was also filled with too much ice. The location has a cute minimalist vibe. With plenty of seating on a Saturday around 11am-1pm. There's only 4 parking spots available with an additional handicap parking spot. The nice thing about this location is that there is plenty of street parking. The service was good.
