Another popular item is their Maple Brown Sugar Latte. I definitely prefer this location over Chicago's but I'm happy they have the same offerings at both.

The coffee was good, if I ever came back it would only be to get that but not worth parking and going inside to wait for it. The only good thing I can say was the staff was very friendly. Likely won't be back. Overpriced. Mediocre. Mislabeled menu. Left the place wanting more.

Enter Tara, who said she'd try her best to make something special. She delivered an adorable bear on my drink! She said she might be able to do better, but I loved her effort and enthusiasm. My friend and I headed outside to enjoy our drinks on the patio. Several minutes later, Tara came outside carrying another latte. She had PERFECTED the latte bear and gave it to us for free! While all the other reviews do state that this is pricey I will agree this is pricey for a coffee shop that doesn't serve a full meal. But I will say that I do support local small business so I'm OK with this. But how often will I come here knowing that the prices are quite high is probably maybe a few times a year at best I hope the menu continues to evolve and grow. I would definitely come back, but this is for sure. A treat not an everyday normal routine.

For dessert, we tried both the Misugaru Bingsoo and the Strawberry Ube Bingsoo. I absolutely loved that you can customize your bingsoo with any of their homemade ice cream flavors, and you can even choose between a cup or a bowl. The bingsoo is made with incredibly creamy shaved milk ice, topped with generous scoops of their homemade ice cream and delicious toppings. It was light, fluffy, creamy, and so refreshing. And the ube croffle...I'm still dreaming about it! It was soft, buttery, and crispy all at the same time. It reminded me of a funnel cake topped with ice cream--but somehow even better. It came with the biggest scoop of ice cream, and one thing we noticed throughout our visit was how generous every scoop was. The Asian-inspired ice cream flavors are unlike anything we've had before. Every flavor we tried was rich, creamy, and left us wanting another bite. Our kids absolutely devoured the Oreo ice cream and kept asking for more. This was the perfect family outing. There truly is something for everyone here, whether you're craving ramen, bubble tea, bingsoo, croffles, affogato, or unique homemade ice cream. So we checked out Le Peep the other day - it's on a busy corner, so parking's a bit of a hunt, but there's more spots behind the building if you can't find street parking. You can go in from either the front or back. The place is super cute and cozy inside, and the owner (a really friendly older guy!) gave us a warm welcome. Our waitress was sweet, but it was pretty busy, so service was a tad slow. We sampled a bunch of stuff: * **Gooey Buns:** The apple filling was tasty, but honestly, it was basically just a glazed English muffin. Not quite what I pictured! * **Harvest Benedict:** This was AMAZING. Seriously, one of the best things I've ever had there. * **Breakfast Chicken Burrito:** This was also a huge hit! My husband and I love this resturant! The atmosphere is very cute and cozy. The food is always delicious, and I always order the green fields SOO tasty. Service was good, our waiter was young...and hadsome!! He was very attentive, genuine not fake and always looked you in the eyes, very professional he was. Prices were decent, can't complain, and I left our waiter a very generous tip...after my husband walked out of course! If he knew how much he'd probably flip but I didn't care he looks to be a college student and he was hot! I can't speak about the lunch, because no matter what time of day, I always order breakfast. My favorites are the Granola Blueberry Pancakes, Pumpkin Pancakes, and the North Shore Omelet. I also enjoy the potatoes. Try the Chocolate Kiss- it is hot chocolate with vanilla. My kids love the Funny Face Pancake, Granny's French Toast, the bacon, and the Bagel Sandwich. The list goes on and on, these flavors are so unique and I can't believe that I can find them all under one roof. I had to try the carrot cake pancakes, and they truly tasted like carrot cake. No syrup was needed, every bite had flavor and sweetness. I love that Brunch Cafe has gluten free options as well, and though I didn't try them I know they would be just as amazing as everything else. There's truly an option for every kind of eater in your family, and it proves they aren't a typical breakfast eatery. Pro tip: They get super busy, so be sure to join the Yelp waitlist to secure a place in line!

The food and drinks actually feel like they are made by people who care. To the owners and staff, please keep taking pride in your work. Reward your workers accordingly (of course you have to make a profit, otherwise it's not worth it). And don't let the quality slide. And Baker's Square closed YEARS ago in SoCal. Missed their pies and baked goods! So imagine my (pleasant) surprise when I found this little place in Palatine! I decided to head there for a brekky on a cool May morning. Stepped in, saw all the breads, pastries, and pies along the front counters- wow. I was greeted warmly and seated instantly. My waitress came right away, and I ordered unleaded (decaf for those in the know). It came in a little pot, ala IHOP, and was really, really GOOD. Wow. Decaf has come a long ways from the Sanka days! I ordered the INN-CREDIBLE V.I.B. which allowed me to order 4 yummy items of my choice - I chose the french toast (yummy and spiced just right albeit w/room temp syrup- not a deal-breaker but notable), a strawberry crepe (totally awesome strawberries, but the crepe was a bit colder than expected); scrambled eggs (always a nice stalwart) and two turkey sausage links (as with the frenchie above, nicely flavored!). The ambience was modern, updated, and felt welcoming and (thankfully) a bit familiar. Brought back some good ol' memories even if only the Baker's Square part of the menu was just pies nowadays. The service was friendly and attentive although we were seated next to the kitchen so we overheard many of the staff's comments as they were going in and out of the kitchen. One of the waitstaff was clearly counting down the three hours left on his shift. The food was okay. While reviewing the menu you'll like notice the low prices. While that was nice to see you do get what you pay for. For 13 dollars and change I got the VIB breakfast where you pick four items from a few different categories. I chose scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, bacon and half a waffle. The portions were small and most of the food likely only needed to be reheated to be served. We are glad we gave Village Inn a try but will likely opt for a different place next time.

The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere, the decor was nice, and the service was friendly. Their menu had a good variety. I ordered their Carnitas Skillet and Orange Lemon Marmalade pancakes. I also had a lavender latte. The food and beverage were good in taste. I liked them. The portion size was good as well. We received good service and had a nice experience. Check them out.
