This is our favorite breakfast restaurant cafe in SA. Plenty of piping hot coffee, excellent service, and the food! Hubby always gets one of the hefty omelette choices, and I always get the biggest bowl of oatmeal with the freshest fruit. I don't know how, but they perfectly toast the bagels every single time. The staff really is the friendliest in town, and they seem to really enjoy working there, too. I hope they stay open forever and ever. read more

LePeep is a good neighborhood place, and has some nice offerings for breakfast. For me, a couple of improvements could include/ - Gluten-free toast, French toast and pancakes, Please! - Gluten-free oatmeal - A bold, robust coffee That said, I like the clean appearance and the atmosphere like an old pharmacy diner or something. And one of their waitresses has been there for YEARS, and she is pretty awesome. For a while, they did away with grits, and that just didn't work for this southern gal; but they're back now (Yay!), so you'll be okay. I like The Peep, and I think you will, too! read more

Outstanding service and food. Great outdoor dining. (Dog friendly patio). My wife and I love this place. We are making it a tradition to do a late breakfast (after morning rush traffic) once every 2-3 weeks. Such a treat. The staff is attentive but not overbearing which makes for relaxed dining. The coffee is very good and perfect for sipping and conversing in the morning breeze. Sometimes we take our well behaved dogs. We have never seen anyone else with a dog but it is allowed. We have tried many items on the menu. Everything has been fantastic. They are happy to tweak an order if they can. We always leave relaxed and in a great mood. read more

What a wonderful experience here. Our server Kristin was delightful and tentative. Right off the back they are very kid friendly and have great menu options for them. My daughter had the Peeples, a rather large "mini" pancake, egg and two pieces of bacon. She was in heaven! She also stole a few potatoes from my husbands plate. I had The Colorado, an egg white omelette. Everything was cooked so well and the side of salsa it came with really set it off. It's typically hard to find a egg white omelette made so flavorful. My husband had the Florentine Benedict. He was not disappointed and boasted of how tasty it was and how he enjoyed adding in the side of cinnamon apples. This chain has been around forever. Not my first time to Le Peep but first to this location. Went early in morning. Promptly greeted and serviced. Food was your typical breakfast, nothing unique but not terrible either. Pancakes were soft. Bacon was well-cooked but not burnt. Menu is extensive. Coffee carafe is great concept. Just overall felt too much like a diner. Nothing unique. Staff, although friendly, was not in tune with small kid needs/safety. Placing hot coffee and food plates directly in reach m/front of my baby. I like the place but with so much competition around, not sure this is a staple in our breakfast rotation. read more

I've been to Le Peep Cafe multiple times and they never seem to disappoint. Perfect little spot located in stone oak that's perfect for brunch. We went on Saturday at around 10:15 in the morning and were seated right away. My fiancee ordered a cinnamon roll latte to start. I wanted to order the crab cakes Benedict like I usually get but I found out that it was taken off the menu. So sad to hear that because it was amazing! Instead I ordered the breakfast burrito and the fiancee got the Belgium waffle with bacon, eggs and potatoes. We got my son the pancakes with bacon and eggs off the kid's menu. +The breakfast burrito was delicious and had everything you could ask for in a good burrito. I wanted to wrap myself up in it like a sleeping bag, it was almost big enough for me to do that. It's massive and filled with refried beans, eggs, potatoes, onions, green chilies and your choice of protein. It's covered in cheese, a pork green chili, sprinkled with green onion and tomatoes and served with a side of sour cream and homemade salsa. You get one choice protein for free but I decided to add another for like a dollar more and I'm glad I did. I went with bacon and chorizo. It was cheesy, full of flavor, spice and that homemade pork green chili was no joke! +My fiance got the Belgium waffle and really enjoyed it. It was crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. It comes dusted with powdered sugar and she had them add strawberries and a healthy amount of whipped cream. The bacon was crispy and not too thin, and the eggs were fluffy and light. We always order the potatoes extra crispy they're always one of our favorite things. Crunchy and seasoned well, like overweight french fries. +My 2 year old son liked his pancakes, eggs and bacon. They made sure they brought out his food in record time to keep him quiet and satisfied. Le Peep Cafe is always consistent with their food and phenominal service. The place is very simple, but the food makes up for everything. I've been there 4 times and I've enjoyed every single meal. We waited about a hour on Saturday morning. It's good, service was adequate, didn't get all the food at same time, then forgot some of it. That part was disappointing for sure six of us for breakfast was 100$ two got steak n eggs two kids one got kids plate. The other child ate off our plates he's toddler. Then a couple of breakfast platters 3 coffees and a side waffle and side two stack. Seems a bit much for 100$ but who knows maybe not. The food was okay to be honest wasn't as good as Jim's coffee shop to me but hey the place is good breakfast spot. The steak had grizzle in it but that happens other than that food was good enough. My son and his wife love the place so I'm sure I will be there again maybe try something else. Might change review after next visit I will be back won't have a choice. read more

This was my third visit to this local restaurant and this visit was prompted by a meeting at an adjacent building. I had previously written off the restaurant as one to forget. This visit reinforced my previous experience and prompted me to review. Food is uninspired and their goal seems to be shooting for tasteless. Service, after you have sat waiting 10 minutes for the waitress, was lackluster and sporadic. Coffee refill requires smoke signals or semaphore to get someone's attention. The restaurant has the ambiance of a warehouse floor but that's forgivable. The combination of terrible service and utterly uninspired food is just too much. I don't know how this place survives. A bad choice and I should have known better. Third time is the charm. Never again. read more

My family and I (5 of us) visited Le Peep for the first time this week. My husband and I are big on customer service and people skills. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was too, but the service was above anything else I had ever seen. Our server, Tessa, was just the warmest, most energetic young lady. My kiddos were having a rough morning. She patiently engaged with my (very shy) kids to where they felt comfortable talking to her, and she was a delight to my husband and I as well. Once again, the food was amazing. But there's just nothing like getting to see a young person with a heart full of compassion for people and an affinity for serving others! I just can't get over it. I've been to Le Peep Café twice, but my second time back, I couldn't help but wonder why I don't come here more often. They have a menu with many offerings and can whip up a specialty espresso beverage upon request. My only issue is that they advertise the great quality of their coffee, but in my opinion it's standard at best. This most recent time, I tried their crepes and ordered a side of potatoes. The staff is great, but when I arrived I noticed some tables were waiting around for a bit before they received their checks. I personally had no problem! We had banana walnut pancakes which were so good, you really didn't need any syrup. My friend also had the eggs benedict - huge portions and very tasty. I had the Wanderer skillet. 2 eggs over nice potatoes, bacon and veggies. It came with a nice biscuit. Although every table had a carafe of lemon water (nice touch), my friend had the cinnamon roll latte and I had the vienna latte. The cinnamon roll coffee came in a huge cup, big enough for 2... and a spoon to eat/drink with ad it was pretty thick. My Vienna latte was surprisingly good. Strong and a hint of cinnamon. Although not a huge fan of cinnamon in coffee, this was good Food and drinks were fresh and very tasty. The only drawback on our breakfast experience was that we had to ask for ketchup twice. read more

That was pre-Yelp, so no review. Now that we've moved out of the Stone Oak area, we have little reason to eat here, until now. Was in the area and hankering for b-fast. "Let's given 'em another try", I said. "Sure, why not", she replies. Yum! Her latte and my espresso were very good, but not great. They claim to use "the best coffee in the world", but it's not quite there. Anyway, very nice. I had eggs Benedict and she had a turkey sandwich. Mine was humongous, hot, fresh, and flavorful. The very thin layer of yogurt in the small dish is not enough given the amount of fruit. The ratio is off. And for $9.25, it is definitely overpriced. At the very least, a side of toast or English muffin should be offered with it at that price point. The other items, however, were delicious. Very hot and fresh tasting. I was seated quickly to a dirty table, my server was friendly and took care of everything right away by cleaning the table, switched out my coffee for a fresh brew, and brought out my food in a timely manner. She offered a to-go cup for my delicious hot coffee. The overall rating for service I would rank 4 out of 5 stars. I wasn't impressed with the food I had ordered. Per usually I will order different dishes to get a true feel of the restaurant. I order 18-wheeler which could With French toast, two eggs, two sausage patties or two bacon strips and potatoes. Honestly, the food was "warm" and no flavor, I did add their hot salsa to add some flavor which made the food salty. The second dish I order was biscuits and gravy... once again there was no flavor! The biscuit was awfully mushy and had a flour flavor and the gravy was bland. The overall rating for food would be 2 out of 5 stars. The presentation was there but no flavor or anything that stood out. I don't believe I will be returning any time soon. If I do it's to check out their lattes or cappuccinos. read more

We were driving around town looking for a new Breakfast place to try and came across this amazing place. The service was speedy and delightful and the food was even better! I had the Homestead Breakfast, everything was cooked and seasoned well the Biscuits and Gravy really pulled it all together. Stopped here for lunch with my preschool kid on a Thursday. The clients were mostly older and the place was fairly busy. Servers were very nice and efficient. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. The first round the whites of the eggs were not set. The waitress was hovering as I cut into the eggs and offered to have the cook remake it, so I sent it back. The second attempt, the eggs were overcooked, but at least the egg whites were solid. My food was decent-nothing special, but not bad either. My kid helped finish the skillet potatoes, which were good. My kid ordered the funny face pancake for $3.99. She was very happy and ate everything. The kids' meal does not come with a drink, which is a negative in my book given that her meal just just a big pancake. I paid almost as much for her drink ($2.69) as her meal. read more
