We were in the Stone Oak area one morning and checked Yelp for breakfast suggestions. There were many. I didn't want a $20 chicken fried steak nor a $19 omelette. We chose Le Peep Cafe after finding menu prices more to our liking. Service was absolutely excellent! The food, my chicken fried steak and her skillet, tasted great and both were more than we could eat for less than $40 inluding coffees and taxes and tip. We have found a breakfast place that will be our "go-to" in the area. It was clean and pleasant. Unlike other places we've had breakfasts, they offered a choice of both regular and dark roast coffee. My only small criticism was that I could taste no difference. Both tasted very good and, at the same price, didn't merit losing even 1/4 star. read more

We have been here a few times love the food and the service . Today not so much . We waited 10 mins before anyone can offer us a glass of water . Our coffee came after our meal and only because we asked about it . There were 3 girls in the front that make the coffee , they were just standing around talking . No sense of urgency , just chitchatting . A table behind us dropped a salt glass shaker all the salt and glass was spilled in the floor . Everyone walked by and no one cared to clean it . The menu looks like it may have changed because there were no entree salads or soups. I was looking for both. I ended up having a turkey spinach sandwich that was supposed to be on sourdough but came on Texas toast. I just ate it anyway, it was just ok. I got it with a side salad and ranch. It was a good size side salad. We also ordered a kids grilled cheese and fries. It looked like an adult size meal, big portion for a kid. But, we were charged separately for a drink. We ordered a small kids lemonade, no refills requested and we were charged for an adult fountain beverage 2.69. I feel like kids meals should come with a drink. Overall, meh. First time visit. I was out and about and hungry. I googled restaurants near me for breakfast. This was a great choice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My server was very attentive. I ordered a Belgium waffle egg potatoes and crispy bacon. I will say it's the first time ever my bacon was cooked to perfection i usually have to return it to the kitchen to be fried harder. It's a very cute and cozy cafe. The french toast was okay, I've definitely had better. It comes with walnuts but I requested them to be off. The potatoes and cheese were pretty okay as well. I added onions and it was a good touch. The strawberries and creme smoothie is really good definitely something to try. The server was super nice and adorable. She immediately saw a mistake and fixed it. She wasn't over bearing but she was consistent. The service was decently quick, and our server was very nice, but, unfortunately, there were a lot of minor issues that made it a poor experience for me. It was my first time here, but the group I was with had been before and gave it lots of praise. First when we went to our outside table, there were multiple long hairs on my menu. I just brushed them off and tried to move on, but then there was another hair in my food! I'd gotten the Belgian waffle combo and I found a curl on my sausage, so I couldn't enjoy it. Then when I moved on to my waffle, it was raw on the inside. I asked for a new one, and they were extremely polite about it, but the new one was raw as well. Le Peep is by far my favorite place when I travel for breakfast/lunch/brunch since I don't have them back home. This location in San Antonio was great with all the yummy favorites that keep me coming back. Gooey Buns are my top pick and these were perfectly made with lots of cinnamon sugar. They have a full on coffee/drink bar for espresso drinks, smoothies and special warm beverages get for adults and kids. The only reason I can't give it a 5 star is your experience is dictated on the server you have. Some servers I have give me a perfect experience and others are a little slower or forget parts of my order. It has easy morning vibes and makes for great family and friend conversation. Chose Le Peep for Sunday brunch after church. Upon arrival we got on the waitlist, requesting a table for four. In about 15 minutes we were seated and kindly greeted by our server, Tessa. It was a comfortable, calm atmosphere with the FIFA final playing on TV screens. The menu had great breakfast and brunch options. After ordering coffee and juice we placed our meal order. The breakfast burrito was massive, packed and delicious. The green chili sauce provided the perfect amount of flavor, so the side of salsa and sour cream weren't necessary. The breakfast potatoes were simple, tasty perfection! I could have those all by themselves and be satisfied. Tessa was quite pleasant and came back from time to time to see if we needed anything. Nestled in the Stone Oak neighborhood, Le Peep is the perfect casual brunch spot! There is usually a 15-30 minute wait on the weekends, but it is so worth it! Plus they provide self-serve coffee while you wait, which is a nice little touch. My husband likes ordering the veggie omelet (diced tomatoes, peppers, onion, broccoli and cheese) with the seasoned potatoes on the side and I enjoy their Belgian Waffle Combo - it comes with one GIANT waffle of which you can choose from their waffle menu, 2 eggs served your way, a side of either bacon or sausage and the seasoned potatoes. Mmm been here once and not sure how I feel about the place. I went on a weekend so I didnt blame them for having such a long wait. The prices are a little too much for the portions. As you can see in my photo I got an omelette It was delicious but it was small, the potatoes were like pebbles. Ive never seen such a flat omelette. Only good thing about it was that the ingredients were fresh. I chose to get the Biscuit on the side and I would give 5 stars to their biscuit it was so chewy and paired really well with butter. Many moons ago, this was my go-to breakfast place. It was the first place, at the time, that mixed in cream cheese with their eggs, and they have a chorizo skillet that I absolutely loved. I had not been in Le Peep in a long time, and, yes, given the circumstances, there was no wait time. We were sat right away, and, in these pandemic times, it was not very full at all. Then again, it was a weekday, so could be different on the weekend. I ordered the oatmeal with a bagel and have to say it was a good-sized portion. Certainly, more than I could eat. My friend ordered the Mexican potatoes, with toast, and her portion was sizable too. The service was excellent, as well. The waitress, who seemed to be attending most, if not all the tables, was very attentive. This is a good breakfast place, especially if you are trying to avoid crowds, during the week. Arrived for brunch at about 11:00 am on a Thursday, quick seating, and delicious stuffed French Toast paired with a side of eggs cooked just right...so I was extremely puzzled as to why they serve a side of Smuckers Syrup with the breakfast...I mean even the Cracker Barrel serves real maple syrup with their breakfasts! I've been to Le Peep in Houston and so I thought maybe this one was associated with it and since the one in Houston is so awesome, I thought I'd give this one a try. The service was very good, quickly seated, and my server was very nice, my food was served warm, not as hot as I like, but at a very good temperature. The flavor of my food was excellent except for a bite of one strawberry that was alittle off, it looked ok when I stabbed it with my fork but tasted like it was starting to go bad within one more day. I was especially disappointed with the Smuckers Syrup. Why not maple syrup? Thankfully, the stuffed French Toast didn't need any syrup and was delicious on its own. The atmosphere was a bit bare, and not because of the social distancing of the tables...the decor just wasn't very nice...but, it did seem clean and that's most important:). The plate and coffee cup and utensils were clean. My sugar container had plenty of half and half for my coffee which tasted good, although the majority of my sugar packets were empty. I guess the server didn't notice someone had stuffed their used sugar packets back neatly into the container. Overall, I would recommend Le Peep because my order was so tasty. But, if you're looking for a place that will not only taste delicious but also provide a cute atmosphere, because isn't that an important part of why we like to eat out and pay alittle extra afterall, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

I've eaten here twice with my friend & our babies and each time I've loved everything I've tried. The California Turkey sandwich is delicious , their fries are literally the best, as well as their eggs Benedict. The servers are always sooo kind and go out of their way to help with the little ones getting food first , a drink while we wait (it was a must last time) etc. the only complaint is their waiting area and wait times. There is no call ahead list or reservations which is so sad because for a small cafe In stone oak, it sure gets busy on the weekend. You have to wait inside because they won't call your name anywhere else. It gets veryyyyy crowed and hot up front too. This makes it hard for those of us with small children. I called ahead and they gave us an estimate wait time of 20 mins but it was definitely 45. They seemed to be telling everybody 20 mins which isn't possible. Also, there's about 5 or 6 hostesses and they really only need 2. MiSTAKE to try again. Haven't been in a awhile because of decline in food quality. Food quality has gotten worse. Eggs had an off taste, grits had NO taste! Ambiance was also a failure. Fan in entry made it too cold & in direct line of too much wind to sit in first two tables offered. Cafe was less than 1/4 occupied at our seating. Waitress was a little short tempered with us over this issue. Food came out quickly but not hot enough to be edible for long. Plus extra charge for credit card use. Not worth any more tries at this place. Too many new places within a short drive. Save your appetite and money for Mimosa Gossip or Bobbie's. Both new in the area and well worth a visit. read more
