This place used to be good. Notice the used to. I had their food this morning, and they must be hurting because they're now rationing the breakfast potatoes. When we confronted the waitress about the lack of potatoes she told us "that's just how the manager does it". We then spoke with the manager and she was argumentative concerning the potatoes. It was like we had asked for gold coins as opposed to potatoes. In general (not just the potatoes) portion sizes have vastly decreased. There are so many great brunch places in Nashville now, you could easily find a better place than le peep. I hope you're not hungry if you do decide to eat here. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on a visit to Nashville. The wait on a Saturday was just five minutes. The thermo of coffee and the carafe of water the waitress left on our table was a nice touch as we didn't need to wait for refills. We ordered omelets, which were tasty and generous. This is my husband's and my favorite Saturday morning date. We love the kind of crowd it draws. They have great service, a friendly staff and water and coffee in carafes which is convenient for us. I'm writing this as a plea to please get the potatoes right. They have never been completely cooked, tastes like they were cooked in overly salted water, underseasoned and always cold. I had the veggie scrambler and the onion, pepper and mushroom appeared not to be cooked with the typical potatoes and as usual not hot. It's starting to tastes like ingredients are being switched out for lesser quality such as with the pancakes. So why would I order potatoes again? It's because I just want to believe they will get it right. There are many good menue items but this is a menu staple and it's ruinning the experience. Please put some love in your potatoes and make it memorable. After all there is a lot of competition out there. read more

I wanted to give this place 5 stars due to the quality of the food, menu choices, quality beverage selections. Those were all perfection. My husband had eggs, coffee, potatoes, biscuits and hawg gravy....he even loved it all and I had the mini-greek goddess egg white omelet , potatoes, and an english muffin with hot tea. I was very impressed with the way they delivered the TEA it was STASH brand excellent choice and they brought an entire thermos of hot water for me and Idrank the entire thing. Water was brought to the table also without asking---and my husband said the coffee was better than average. Soooooo why the four stars....I don't like the open ceiling and the server could have been a little more personable in my opinion. She did her job but didn't try to charm us. A little smile and chit chat goes a long way......also---I feel like the decor and layout could be set up a little more cozy...Iit has a very bare feel in there combined with my servers cool attitude....it didn't leave me warm and fuzzy like the food did.... read more

Le Peep is probably the only good brunch place this side of the Parthenon. Serving an impressive array of brunch options, this place will blow your mind away. Vegetarians have many options here and I really dig this joint for having veggie Eggs Benedict. That's a rarity around here. Went here after ditching a 50 minute line at Pancake Pantry. Although the crowd is older, I was pleased to see they offered alcohol - mimosas specifically. We went for breakfast and ordered French toast with an assortment of sides. The toast and potatoes with cheese were amazing, but the grits were watery and flavorless - pass on those! Had breakfast here today for the first time in years. Both Waitresses that handled our order were polite and professional. Food was excellent and cooked to order. The Kitchen staff (I could see the prep area from my table) is hard working and seem to enjoy what they do. My only negative comment is that the restaurant is "tired" and needs holes in the walls fixed, new paint, tables refinished and the floor cleaned. Success and a stable of regulars is no excuse for not keeping up appearances. read more

Le Peep was le good. It wasn't tres fancy, but if you are looking for le French, then look l'elsewhere. This is le American as it gets. I went with a party of 7, and Le Peep le delivered on their promise of le food and le drinks. The one thing I found le funny was that when you first enter Le Peep, there was a note on the door saying that due to avian bird flu, egg prices have increased. I find that le weird. When I eat le eggs, I don't want to think about bird flu. But alas, I soon forgot as I entered and sat down. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food came out pretty fast. Was looking for a nice brunch/breakfast place with 3 small boys. We didn't wait to long for a table on a Saturday am. I ordered the greek omelet, very bland but it was ok. The boys had pancakes , they were on the bigger size, nothing special. But the coffee was good. Overall it was ok. read more

The secret to "The Peep" is to know what you want and order with confidence. In my experience the wait staff is extremely hands off. They won't hold your hand at all. If you are looking for a smiling face for breakfast, you will be disappointed, but if you want to order your breakfast sandwich but make sure they don't "Dare make a sandwich out of it" the way a nearby patron did, they will happily accommodate you. read more

Having not been to Le Peep for over a year we were excited to have the opportunity to dine there again... As it turns out, we should have just savored the memory of our first visit and enjoyed the vision of the place we held in our mind's eye. I'm know perfectly well that only at the most special of places will the second visit even live up to, much less surpass the first, but this was a real let down. Service was fine, but the food was less than mediocre. The peasant potatoes/home fries/hash-browns, normally a brunch afterthought, were the best things on both of our plates. The sausage links were terrible imposters. The weird, light tan/grey color was the first clue that all was not well in the land of Le Peep. Words fail me as I try to describe how bad this stuff was. I think they tried to pass some poultry sausage off on me, but the menu said "sausage" and ,by god, PORK sausage is what I expected and deserved. Even by poultry sausage standards (an oxymoron, in my opinion) it was awful. Truly evil cased meat. The scrambled eggs had an odd sheen to them. I have my doubts if they were really eggs at all. (Note to Le Peep: Eggs come from chickens. Sausage does not.) In a vain attempt to render the egg-type-substance edible, I asked for a little salsa. I hope they don't go to the trouble of making it in house (sincerely doubted), but they really should stop. Pace salsa from aisle 3 at Super Walmart is far superior in every demonstrable way. Glad I had a side of pancakes. They were not as good as even IHOP or Cracker Barrel, but at least they afforded me the opportunity to rid my palate of the vile taste of the sausage/egg/salsa offenses. It's no wonder that at 12:30pm we got a great parking space and our pick of seating. Le Peep is off our list now, and unless they get their act together quickly I predict they will disappear off of all but one list soon: Failed Nashville Restaurants. read more

Their coffee is good, their food is amazing, the service is outstanding, and they're located in a strip mall so there's definitely parking. Also, prices...pretty cheap! Le Peep may be a chain but it's one of the better places in Nashville to go for brunch or breakfast. The food is delicious and they have about every breakfast food you can think of (sans veggie meats) on the menu. They also have a ton of drink options and full espresso bar. There were only 2 things about this place that less than thrilled me. 1. The coffee was terrible. 2. The service was pretty rotten as well... and it was a slow day. There were about 3 different people who helped us and only one of them more than once. We visited Me Peep on NYE and I kept the receipt to make sure that I left a review. VERY comfortable atmosphere, great food, excellent coffee and fantastic biscuits. I like this place better than Biscuit Love downtown, better biscuits and much much shorter wait time. They even served coffee in the waiting area while you wait, how civilized is that? I'll return on my next visit for Nashville without a doubt. read more

Of course The Girlfriend got on my case for not just hitting the McDonald's drive-thru to save time, but she sure changed her tune when they brought out the stuffed French toast! I received my well deserved apology in between bites of what she still claims is the best French toast she has ever eaten. I had the Monte Cristo crepes which were pretty freakin' good. If you order these ask for hollandaise sauce on the side so you can have half of the crepes savory and the other half sweet with the provided strawberries and raspberry sauce. Amazing brunch place! The only thing I can knock it for is that the mimosas are $7 or $8 each. They're great and I'd love to have more than one but really can't because I'd spend more on booze than my food! The specialty coffees are great too. I generally get one of the potato skillets which all of the ones I've tried have been amazing (the sweet potato one is probably my favorite). The eggs Benedict is also great. Their potatoes are sometimes a little dry and chewy but they're still okay when they're dry. One thing I LOVE about this place is that they give you water for the table so I'm not constantly flagging someone down for water refills. I go here very frequently. Love it!! read more

We love Le Peep for weekend brunch! You need to get there early on Sunday to avoid the church rush because the wait can get pretty long. Also, the service can be slow at times but that's hit or miss. The food however never disappoints. I'm a breakfast lover so I usually stick with the eighteen wheeler so I can get a variety. But the pampered eggs, omelets, and pancakes are all delish!
