The kung pao chicken is super bland. It had zero peanuts, zero red peppers. The ratio of chicken to veggies to rice is like 15, 25, 60. Not great. The veggies were mostly celery. It's a great family run joint very healthy and super attentive. My server was the best. Nice old lady with the best attitude. I got veggie chow main and walnut shrimp. The food looks good but lacks flavor. I've been there a few times to order take out only because Mr. Chaus closed. Chaus was very flavorful but Lee's lacks it greatly. Good news, I didn't get sick. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. The Kung Pao had hung chunks of chicken, not even cut into bite sized pieces. And there was only a few pieces of chicken. Mostly celery and onion. The flavor was lacking, had a metallic after taste. The rice was unbelievable greasy. It coated my mouth, utterly disgusting. When paying, the owner I'm assuming said, "ur new, hope u enjoy and see you back." Unfortunately I won't. I didn't know Lee's was the little hole in the wall by the old Weinerschnitzel father down El Camino Real. ANYWHO, I love this place. The customer services is always spot on. They have pictures on the wall if you can't decide what you want. The food is delicious & consistent. The portions are also super generous. The Mapo Tofu, Beef Chow Fun, & Hot & Sour Soup are a few of my faves. Anything with salt & pepper, they do amazing! Well, after a Santa Clara discussion on Chinese food, Lee's came up and people seemed to like it. I myself hadn't thought there was good Chinese in Santa clara, average, but not really good. I went here on a Saturday and ordered the tomatoes beef rice plate and an order of pot srickers to go. The tomatoe beef was not my typical order for the first time I go to a place, I typically order sweet and sour pork. My opinion, if you can't make sweet and sour pork, which is easy, then you probably can't make the rest. When I got home and opened the bag the plate was full. Huge portion. Lots of beef and a great sweet taste. Super good and will definitely order this again. The pot sickers, well let me start by saying, a good pot sitcker is like gold. Very few get these right. But these???? These are awesome. Cooked perfectly with a light pan get crunch. In my opinion, I would like them a little more pan fried at the end, but these are BY FAR the best pot stickers in the area. I will definitely be back here to order dinner some time, and hope this experience wasn't because I was hungry, but I don't think it was. Thanks for giving me a large portion to go, but I ate some from the top and had to throw away the rest because it was hot food in a clear plastic container that didn't look safe for hot food. Need to update ever since Covid started: Looks like the prior employed staff no longer works there and the owner/family fully run the show now. They are very accommodating and polite. There's a lot of little shops around here and not too many visible street numbers, so I'll try to describe the location the best I can. It's located in the shopping center that's northeast of the El Camino Real/Kiely/Bowers intersection. It's in between the Hanmi bank and the Petco. I ordered takeout on Superbowl Sunday and the place was nearly empty. Out of about 10 tables, there was one full table, a couple of people sitting in the corner that looked like they were waiting for take-out. They said it would take 15-20 minutes, and it was right about 20 minutes. I paid a grand total of $21.20 (plus a dollar tip, I don't know why) and took the food home. We had ordered BBQ pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and lemon chicken. I don't know if they typically give a side of rice with dishes, but we didn't get any white or brown rice. My husband and I didn't mind, we don't normally don't eat too much rice with our entrees anyway. I guess if you do like rice, ask for it in advance. I liked the BBQ pork fried rice best. It had a really good flavor, and the little pork bits were nice and tender. The lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork both suffered from way too much pineapple. I think there was more pineapple than any other ingredient. The lemon chicken turned out okay, though it didn't really seem like the veggies in it were cooked at all. The carrots and bell peppers were pretty good, I like them crisp, but I know not everyone does. Neither my husband or I really liked the sweet and sour pork. It tasted strangely like seafood. I'm not sure, but I think maybe they fried it up in the same fryer with some sort of shrimp? It was very bizarre. The veggies included onions and celery, again pretty crisp, and my husband really doesn't like celery. I don't think we'd get it again if it's going to taste like seafood. The food was really cheap, so I wasn't expecting it to be the best Chinese ever. I wanted cheap, Americanized Chinese and that's what I got. Maybe their "Chinese" Chinese food is better. I'll have to try it sometime, with as cheap and close as it is, I figure it makes a decent take-out place. read more

This restaurant have great lunch specials for only $6.15 + tax. Their portion size is very generous. I tried their sweet and sour pork with fried rice and it also came with soup on the side. Food was average, but it was good for the price. They need to wipe down and clean their condiments, since it was dirty and sticky from the outside. This place is awesome. I came here with my brother & his girlfriend & as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smiling face. The owner? Or owners wife? In any case, she was very friendly & knew exactly what my brother & girlfriend wanted to order already. My brother ordered soup, which was large enough to share with me & his girlfriend. Total, we could make 6 bowls from the 1 big bowl she gave us. Quite an awesome deal. Then I ordered the spring rolls along with the beef rice place; my brother & girlfriend split that same dish too. I was sure they would need to order more until the food actually came out. The portions were HUGE! I was able to take home the rest & eat it 3 different times. Being that it was almost closed when we came, the service was excellent, food was served piping hot, tasted good, portions are perfect for leftovers, & employees are very nice. I'll be coming back. Looking for some Chinese food and came across Lee's Kitchen. All I can say is WOW! Such a friendly greeting as we came in the door. Seated quickly with menus to peruse. Chicken and Vegetable combo, Chicken Chow Mien with noodles and Chicken Fried Rice were all outstanding. So much flavour, vegetables not over cooked. Far too much food for us to eat so they happily boxed it up for us. So much value for such a small price. Easily one of the best meals we have had on our trip. read more

Just had the lunch special. Easily the worst Chinese food I've had in years. Usually there is something positive with 3 items, but all were bad. The Sweet & Sour pork (4 pieces) was buried within onion and carrots, & no pineapple. Really should have been called sweet and sour vegetables with pork. The pork tasted old and I couldn't even eat it. Moving on to the pork fried rice: it tasted like old oil I dumped some sweet and sour sauce on it just to make it edible. Finally the chicken chow mein what should have been the star of the show tasted like watery pasta noodles. Even the chicken didn't have any kind of distinctive flavor very Bland. Are the onions that were in the chicken chow mein tasted Raw. A huge disappointment. read more
