Hot day today and wanted something light close by like a banh mi. With not many options, we came here. Haven't been here since the beginning of the pandemic. Ordered the #11 #3 banh mi. The baguette was nice and crispy with slight chew. The filling was tasty and fresh, although very chunky vs the julienne veggies I'm used to in L.A. Vietnamese iced coffee was refreshing and not too bold and bitter, with the right amount of condensed milk and crushed iced. Hubs and I had no problem finishing the one we shared. DD always gets her usual surf and turf spring rolls. The rolls are so tasty she doesn't even need the sauce. The order took awhile to make. Not sure why as other customers that ordered sandwiches after us got their orders before us. They forgot our pork rolls and had to ask them before we left with our takeout. This has become our go to spot when we are in East Dublin. Whether we are looking for a quick snack or a hefty lunch sandwich, Lee's has it covered. On the lighter side, a chicken or meatball skewer is just enough to keep your hunger at bay until dinnertime. For the mid-sized appetite, the Banh Mi sandwiches are the right size. I usually go for something big like the Caramelized Steak and Cheese. Sometimes they may be a little slow, but every sandwich is made to order. If you want something quick, get a skewer or something that is already made, on display in the case. Or both, a ready made item for an appetizer while you wait for your sandwich to be made. This is the closest Lee's sandwiches to me within 30 miles so of course I'm going to make the mission for some banh mi and Vietnamese coffee! I absolutely love how there's online ordering available so I can place the order and by the time I get there it will be ready. Best Viet Banh- Mi's in the area!! The servers are super sweet, coffee hits the spot (love the ice especially), and the Banh Mi options are endless. The cashier, Jess, suggested pork and pate. I'm so upset. I don't know what happened but the quality has seriously depleted. I ordered REGULAR spring rolls just with no meat and this is what I got. Just lettuce and some shredded stuff. My go-to for take out food in the bay. Seriously, where else are you going to find $6 sandwiches with length and girth comparable to $10 subway sandwiches? I always thought it was a SoCal thing, and didn't even realize Lee's originated in San Jose haha. Anywho, I was back in San Ramon a couple of months ago and saw on Yelp that Lee's had a location in Dublin! I was super excited to try it out for the first time. I got an order of their breakfast sandwich on a croissant, with spam,egg and cheese. I asked for the egg to be made over easy but it was still served to me scrambled/fried. It tasted ok though. My mom and I also each got their pina colada smoothie which tasted great! highly recommend. We also got a couple orders of their eggrolls which was extremely greasy, the eggroll and the bag it came in was dripping in oil. I wouldn't get that again. I should have listened to the reviews. The Dublin location needs to take notes from the Fremont and San Jose locations! The thick cucumber slices seemed to be beyond their shelf life. My visit here both literally and figuratively left a bad taste in my mouth. I got a grilled pork sandwich that the cashier recommended and the meat was really thick and hard to chew, there was really little marinated carrot and daicon and no mayo (if there was, it was like so little I could not find it or taste it). Decent food, but no sense of urgency. I came in for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. The lady at the counter spent a good 5 minutes engaged in a casual conversation with some other guests in the restaurant who had already eaten. I waited patiently, and noticed that she did see me there, but she just kept right on with the chit chat. I was a few seconds from leaving when she finally noticed that I was losing my patience and about take my business elsewhere. I updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars because I realized my initial rating was harsh. Business owner Liz responded kindly, and I appreciate that. She could have taken it personal and responded back non empathetically, but instead she was mature and kind. I also compared their Vietnamese coffees to other businesses around the area, and I suppose they are selling theirs at fair price, despite me still not agreeing with the size advertised. I also learned how to make this slow dripped coffee myself, and now I understand why a serving size is so small without the ice. Too bad they didn't have the ability to explain, themselves, in a kind, informative, and non condescending manner. The issue is - when I called to discuss why serving size is so small - the customer service/phone attendee was extremely rude and condescending and wouldn't properly explain. That person, alone, would make me want to keep this as a 1 star review. I honestly shouldn't even give it a 4, and rather give it a 3, but I thought I'd give it a higher rating just because I judged them wrongly with a mistake of my own, before doing my own due diligence and research. It is still far from one of the best Vietnamese coffees... but if you're in the area, I guess having the option to have one is better than no option. Not everywhere has Vietnamese coffee. So far, in the surrounding area, Worldfare's donuts has the best Vietnamese coffee I've personally had. But that's in Hayward. And one can argue that even Denica's Real Food Kitchen has better Vietnamese coffee than this place. Both of these places I mentioned seem to give a better experience with their service, product, and price per portion. However, the Vietnamese coffee price in all these areas are outrageous. I don't understand how they pretend like doubling the price of the product since pre-Covid is needed to make up for the costs of serving it. Stop lying. You guys are greedy and marketing the price higher because of S&D, and your competition got it just as high. If anyone really wants Vietnamese coffee as often as I do, just Amazon the tools and products needed to make it yourself. It's much more inexpensive, and Amazon even sells a device that allows you to make 10 servings at once. So you can pre-make the slow drip coffee (as these restaurants usually also do), and just add it in as you go on about your week. It's not even hard to make, so to be asking $8 for a 8oz product, is just plain disrespect. Anyway, a generous 4 star review just to make up for my own ignorance and accusation. got the combo bahn mi and the seasame balls. i'm from east bay where the lees sandwich's are crap. i couldn't find a highly reviewed bahn mi place here in tri valley so i reluctantly ordered lees. to my surprise this place is CLEAN compared to east and south bay! lol. there were a few customers but enough staff that we only waited like 5 minutes. ot may not be the best bahn mi or seasame balls but it is pretty basic or pretty good for these parts haha. bahn mi didn't have that super crispy baguette i'm used to. it's pretty shallow so the fillings are not much. actually there was too much pate so you can't really tell unless you know what ur looking for. the seasame balls were OK. when you bite into them the filling is sparse so you go more that halfway before you hit filling. overall this place is decent and until i find an authentic bahn mi joint, this shall be my staple read more

lees a giant chain through CA. you can find lees mostly in an asian dominated area. i would rate 5/5 for their iced coffee. this coffee is super strong and potent. the lees coffee here is the same throughout other lees chains. i would rate 3/5 for their banh mi. it's just to tough for me to eat. flavor is there, but the bread it really hard and tough. but their other food and pasteries are really good. there is plenty of parking in the front and on the side/back. stop by lees for their vietnamese iced coffee you need a pick me up. read more

Literally everything went well. I can't believe it took me this long to try out Lee's. At first you're met with a legit full menu with plenty of vegetarian options and super clean and modern vibe. They were all delicious and perfectly prepared, but the Asian BBQ Pork took the top spot. Our first time at this chain. Everything was fine or good. But given the higher prices, we expected more. For example, the banh mi's are nearly $7 each now. Not a lot of protein or filling inside the sandwiches. Chicken spring rolls were so dry we couldn't eat them. They probably sat in the warming window all day before we bought them for dinner. I read that folks enjoyed the bread - we were hoping for a bit more bite to the shell of the bread. $8 Beef soup was in a small plastic tupperware. Since the last time I had a #6 BBQ pork sandwich which I think tastes way too much like like sweet American BBQ sauce out of a bottle, I was not planning to go back to Lees. I prefer a more traditional BBQ pork with Hunan sauce like the Saigon Sandwich shop in SF. I believe Lee's used to serve it this way but sadly not anymore.
