I came here as part of a media mixer event, so I cannot comment on the prices, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone. This is a great new(-ish) restaurant that opened up about 6 weeks ago. Pretty much the only thing I did not enjoy about my experience was my drive up there (although to be fair, I dislike driving in NJ in general and try to walk whenever possible). I also didn't realize that the parking lot was valet services only because I'm not that fancy of a person. The space is super spacious and clean with a fully stocked bar and an awesome fish display with a variety of different options. For when it's warm outside again, there's a patio for outdoor seating, and they also have an upstairs area that can accomodate private parties of up to 50-60-ish people! I tried a number of different appetizers and while it's difficult to pick favorites, I really liked their moussaka croquettes, a potato/eggplant/mushroom-based dish that's usually prepared more like a lasagna, but these were baked and then fried into croquette balls. They also had a tasty swordfish appetizer and a portobello mushroom dish with pesto + Greek cheese. We sat outside on a beautiful Saturday night. Summer weather was perfect for this birthday celebration for my mom. Food was okay, many of us commented that it needed some more flavor and asked for salt and pepper. (Kind of awkward but was necessary). It is pricier than I would have liked, but what I couldn't get over was that they gave us what we thought was free table bread and charged $14 for it! It was a measly four-five pieces of bread, hummus, and olives. We were all in shock, more because we were never notified and I don't believe I read that anywhere. This left a poor taste in my mouth, and it was not worth going to. Oh and they force you to valet park, so that's more money out of your pocket. read more

I was hesitant between giving 3 or 4 stars but because of my first visit I decided to give 4. I've came here now twice. First time: birthday dinner Food : 4/5 had the octopus for app and ordered the tomahawk special for entree and had the cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious but i would say for the price the tomahawk isn't worth it. Service 5/5: i wish i remembered his name but he was so amazing. He was giving us recommendations and took photos of us and really made our night special! Drinks: not that great Now the second time: Food : 3/5 had octopus, salmon and chicken kebab as entree the octopus wasn't tender and the salmon and chicken had no flavor. Horrible service. Condescending staff. 2-hour wait to be seated for a reservation made weeks ago. Rushed through our meal. From beginning to end had to escalate our issues 8x with staff and upper management. You'd think they'd get the hint that we were unhappy with their poor service but instead they had this arrogant attitude like they were doing us a favor. I needed plans for NYE 2 weeks before the holiday as I had a family member surprise us from Italy and Lefkes came through big time for me! There were 4 of us, we sat at the bar which was prime location for the entertainment, music and entire experience. We were greeted by the bartender Anthony who was honestly amazing and made the whole experience that much better. Food was delicious and we had full diner menu options at the bar. Watching the preparation of the cocktails was amazing but the way they tasted were even better! My guests were truly impressed and asked to go back next time they are visiting. We had gone for my girlfriend's birthday after she had wanted to check it out after driving by. When you first pull up, their parking lot is valet only, so you have to park at the bank next door if you don't like to valet. When we got to the hostess station, they had a hard time finding our reservation, and though I wouldn't call them rude, I wouldn't say the hostesses have a huge attention span. The seats were comfortable, and our server, Mohammed, was a really nice guy. He didn't make us feel rushed at all (as I saw with many complaints with the service). The calamari was good, but otherwise, I found the portion sizes small, and the flavors to be a bit weak. The plating was very appealing though. Lastly, the music here is quite loud. It really kills the romantic vibe when you're trying to have a romantic evening out. The upside is that you can stick around for dancing, though it's a bit cramped to dance between the tables downstairs. Horrible service! Booked a reservation a month in advance and the staff was unable to sit my party for over 2 hours. The food was OK but mostly came out cold (and some dishes came as if they were microwaved)! They claim to close at 2am but 12:45am the lights came on at the restaurant. Omg I love this place so much, I can't wait to go back! I really felt like I was in the Greek isles, food was great (very fresh, amazing ambiance and excellent service! I had past this place so many times - I'm so glad I finally checked it out. It's beautiful both inside and out. We arrived late for our 8;15 res, but as random luck would have it, I knew the host and she recognized me right away (face mask and all!) she said us down right away and gave us real menus, yay (those phone menus are killers!) then she ran over to give me a welcome glass of wine. Omg how sweet! The owner (I believe) came over a few minutes later and reviewed some specials he had on the menu that evening & suggested some dishes for us to share. He easily sold us on the scallops and the fresh fish dishes - really made me feel like I was in Greece with eating whole fresh fish! The fish came with two sides - you can never say no to Greek potatoes! We ordered a few glasses of wine and espresso martinis after. They brought us over a complimentary ricotta cheesecake too - it was delightful! The place was reasonably crowded all night - and they placed a nice mix of music. I would definitely say this is an average place. The food was not disappointing but would consider it to be slightly overpriced. I got the seafood pasta and while it was good, the proportions we're small. My biggest gripe was the bread. I've only ever been to a few places that charge for bread and it's only been a dollar or two. This place charges $14 per plate of (free) bread. I mean....4 pieces of house bread being $14 is a bit ridiculous. We had a mid size group so we paid almost $30 for this. Would have been good to be asked. read more

Decided on Lefkes for a birthday dinner since she had mentioned she had been meaning to try this place out for over a year now. I am so glad she said that since I figured it would be the perfect place to celebrate. I was so taken aback how great everything tasted. I did not have one complaint. I did call to reserve since it didn't look like they were accepting reservations through the online outlets. Did not have an issue making a mid week reservation. We were seated in their lovely outdoor dining area with lush foilage and lighting. The wine prices were very reasonable. But the food so was amazing. You will see from my pictures almost everything we ordered. You do have to get the roasted beet salad. I enjoyed it very much. The beets were mild but the yogurt type filling went along so well. The lamb chops were my favorite though. I asked for medium and that is exactly what I got but it was still so tender and juicy. I expected it to be a tad tough but it was not tough at all. We finally worked up the courage to dine outdoors this week and were excited to try Lefkes. Their outdoor dine out set up was beautiful, but there were so many mosquitoes because of the greenery. So, dress accordingly. Their initial service was extremely fast, bread/hummus and water immediately, but afterwards it does slow down. 1. Food is AMAZING. Everything is well seasoned down to the decorative vegetables. We had the lamb, not pictured, and scallops (which is an appetizer but can be eaten as entree.) 2. The service is great, albeit a little slow, but we are in a pandemic. I am grateful for anyone in the restaurant industry busting their butts off right now trying to give us a sense of normalcy. It's been so long since we have been able to venture out; and I had not realize how much we rely on these dining experiences as a positive feedback mechanism to lift and checkpoint our day to day. 3. Unfortunately, while initially we were very much able to socially distance ourselves from other tables, once two large parties came in, with drunk clientele, it became extremely hard to have dinner without people constantly getting up and walking around with tilted gait (getting way too close to our table). I wish the hostess or wait staff said something, but I guess it's hard since they're trying to run a business. There was a table of 14 to our left, then a table of 8 to our right, and it just became too crowded, and we decided to just leave quickly without dessert. **AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS** My experience at Lefkes from beginning to end (as with most reviews you will read) was hands down the WORST restaurant experience I've ever had in my 33 years of existence. I am disgusted to even have to write this but it is imperative that you read on so I will keep my points short and to the point. A FEW OF THE MANY REASONS TO AVOID THIS PLACE AND TO MAKE SURE OTHERS DO THE SAME: 1. We had a table inside for our party of 10 *reserved and confirmed by phone* that we were not given. Upon arrival we were told that there are no guarantees for indoor seating. We in fact had called back days prior to make sure we had a table inside and were told it wouldn't be a problem. It turned out the best they could do is have us seated outside. (You'll notice many reviews say this exact same thing). 2. After a LONG wait by the bar and a $50 bribe (yes, we were desperate), one of the managers named Thomas (who was extremely frustrated and having a very rough night) awkwardly squeezed us in some small tables in the middle of the place. Shortly thereafter, the owner, Georgia, told us that if we sit outside everything we eat and drink will be on the house. There was an issue with other (more important) people that wanted the tables we were using. We reluctantly took her offer. 3. The table we were given outside was not prepared for us. They had to put it together while we waited some more. By the time we were seated it was 10:30PM - our initial reservation was for 9PM! 4. While sitting outside we noticed very clearly at one point that the entrance to get back in was COMPLETELY BLOCKED OFF by security. Not even people that wanted to use the bathroom could get in. The place was FLOODED with people - way over max capacity. You could see the look of frustration and confusion of everyone waiting to get inside. Disaster. 5. When I was allowed inside to use the restroom I noticed the hallway and bathrooms were all completely trashed. Toilet paper on the floors that were sticking to peoples shoes, dirty toilets and sinks. The owner happened to be around and she noticed herself that it was a complete mess. She used the restroom and went back outside to her friends where they had a table. 6. We finally got some bottles and appetizers and did our best to unwind and enjoy our friend's birthday night. Eventually someone came to take our dinner order only to come back soon after and inform us that THE KITCHEN WAS CLOSED. The free meals the owner promised us for going outside was nonsense after all. I am positive the guy who took our order knew very well we weren't going to be able to eat and just led us on. For this inconvenience we were given some dessert and another bottle of alcohol (which goes down real smooth on a near empty stomach). For the love of all that is good in this world, please avoid this place. Forget about the few scattered reviews where people had a great time on a slow day. It's the busy days that reveal what this establishment and the people behind it are about. Go support a restaurant that deserves it. This place will be shut down soon enough if things don't completely change. read more

All the girls took a Uber there and waited over an hour then were told there's nothing they can do so they had to leave. Went here for thanksgiving w the family and food was just OK. Cornbread they served with the meal was like cardboard....completely inedible. Also turkey was just oK, as was the stuffing. Actually, nothing much to talk about because for a family of 5, no one really enjoyed their meals, which is a damned shame, because it cost me close to $800 for the night. I get it, it's thanksgiving night, but $70 for Turkey and stuffing plus macroni and chess and a slice of pecan pie??? Also, service was cold and uninspired. Little to no real interaction with any of their customers. The final straw for us was when I presented a gift certificate and was told "sorry, we cant honor that, because we're under new management". WTF. At a min they should have offered up something. You may be under new management, but I still have a gift certificate that says Lefkes. Who made the decision to do a car show and DJ on Greek Easter ??? For the local Greek community, not a great business decision. We made our reservation of course given the Holiday and were excited to dine here. Sadly, we couldn't even get a valet for 20 minutes upon entering into the mess of Lefkes parking lot. It was a sign that we should have turned right around and left. The noise level on a scale of 1-10 was a 12. Just awful. Food was cold and service lackluster. Bathrooms weren't cleaned and completely disregarded. The selfie wall was beautiful however given the clientele that day, it was a complete nuisance. Not sure what's happened here, but will not be returning. Giving an extra star as the decor is very pretty, just get a business plan to figure out how to get back on track. read more

As we finished this the next course arrived. With that came the appetizers. First up was an order of Spinach Pie with a side order of tzatziki spread alongside. The pie was fresh and handmade. It contained real spinach that had not been frozen. This was fresh from the garden and ready for the meal. It was tasteful and delightful. For an appetizer we also had the Greek Salad. But this was not typical. If you go to a traditional older Greek restaurant you know this is filled with lettuce, tomato, olivers, feta cheese and more. Yet, this time Lefkes took it a step higher. It was the same, but different. There were truly fresh large tomatoes that were placed with some thin peppers, olives and a nice size piece of feta cheese. It was dipped with a light olive oil marinade. When you look at it you can see how fresh it is. But then you tasted it and realized it was new, delightful, and had a light flavor that was easy to eat and enjoy. It was not an ordinary flavor, but one that was new and enjoyable. To start the meal this was perfect. And then out came the entree. This was now a step above. The meal was a good flavor that was also fresh and perfect. If you ordered it as medium then it was that. It was not less, and definitely not more. It was as you requested. We had an order of Grilled Salmon, along with an order of fresh vegetables. It was a good and healthy lunch ready for you. One bite out of the salmon was perfection. It was ideal. It was a good size. And it tasted as if it was fresh from the ocean. It had a small seasoning, but not one that over handled it. It was there. And the vegetable mix front oday included fresh cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli. The flavoring was light, maybe a little butter to coat it. It was direct. We also had an order of Chicken Kebabs along with rice and fresh spinach mixed together. It was a large plate, and served with some gyro and a more traditional tzatziki for texture and flavor. The chicken had been grilled on a skewer with some pepper and onion mixed on the item. It was a good combination that provided flavor, texture, and a touch that was unique and traditional in this combination. It was delightful as you cut a piece of chicken and took a bite. I even tried some tzatziki on a few bites and it was good. Nice, different and something you wanted to eat. Then, when you had the rice (which had been roasted) along with the fresh spinach you had an item that could have been a separate meal by itself. This was new and unique. It was a great way to enjoy what you had in front of you at that time. For us, this was an entree that took time to enjoy and savor. And we did. When you are watching other items go through to the other guests in the area you realize that there is more to try if you had the time. But we had one more course. Dessert. With this portion you received the dessert that you did not have to order. The team brings it to you when the table is cleaned and you are ready. Which means, for this time we had a Greek Baklava, which had a scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream topped with a little honey. This was delightful. It was just right. It was simple, sweet and just right. A size that was fresh, interesting and did not fill-you-up after the meals you had prior to this. Everything was the right amount that was filling and perfect. It allowed you to enjoy everything and feel complete. This is a good place to be. I will rate it ​5-STARS​ for this visit. It was perfect. LEFKES is a fabulous choice for both sophisticated Greek and seafood. The Mediterranean cuisine they offer is fresh and classic but with a modern presentation. We dined here just once before with an ensemble of couples for a swanky night out and loved it. Last night we came just the two of us and the evening was equally as enjoyable. I would totally make a reservation if you plan to visit here even as a two-some because it can get quite busy. We used the Open Table app to make our dinner plans and the restaurant reached out to us by phone to confirm. LEFKES has high demand on a Saturday evening (for good reason) and we felt they were advance planning to make our reservation request seamless upon arrival. At the reception area, we were enthusiastically greeted and promptly shown our table. We were seated in the main floor dining room, in a cozy corner booth near the artful seafood display. With the opportunity to view the fresh fish offerings, this restaurant has the feeling similar to that of like a Milo's NYC. However, we did not need to venture across the bridge to find this gem! We were promptly provided our blue bottle of sparkling water with the requested citrus. For drinks, I opted for the recommended light and refreshing Greek cocktail. I was delighted when the orange colored elixir was set in front of me in an elegant wine glass garnished with an aromatic stalk of fresh Rosemary. So pretty! LEFKES modern cocktail presentations set a pleasant tone to our meal. My husband had his usual martini and although he usually prefers feta stuffed olives, he was just as happy with the red pepper olives LEFKES offers, as his glass was chilled and frosty. Another bonus was that they were quick to provide more rocks (ice) on the side, as needed. For starters, our server recommended (not once but twice!) the Greek Salad and the Grilled Octopus and given his confidence, we went ahead with these two choices. For dinner he was quick to suggest the Branzino and we ordered this as well. We were told the whole fish was a good size serving but still we added an additional appetizer of LEFKES Shrimp, for good measure. We requested to receive the Greek Salad first however this and our two appetizers came all at once. It was a bit much for the smaller two-top table but with a little help from the quick and competent, "on-the-ball" floor manager, our starters were arranged in a way that was not so overwhelming. The caliber of service was certainly on an elevated level this evening. We noted the entire staff collectively working hard to optimize the patron's experience. All three first-course dishes were fresh and delicious. The Greek Salad (Horiatki) is a modern medley of deconstructed ingredients; ruby-red wedges of vine ripened tomato, crisp cucumber slices, sweet red onion slivers, fruity kalamata olives and brined capers all topped with a good-sized triangle of high quality feta. The dish itself relies on the freshness of its components and LEFKES certainly hit the mark. The recommended Char-Grilled Octapodi was presented on a bed of house-made Santorini pea compote. WOW. The octopus was tender and flavorful. Like our server, I highly recommend this dish! The Grilled Shrimp in a light tomato sauce with feta and ouzo was also a winner. We were happy with our little table buffet of salad and appetizers and would certainly order all three again. After an appropriate amount of time between courses, our main entree of Whole Fish Branzino was served. It was perfectly filleted and beautifully simply cooked. Although it's quite typical (and expected) to find a thin bone or two in this sort of dish, we found absolutely none. It takes expert knife skills to make this happen. The Chef is certainly a talent! The Branzino featured a light wine sauce on the side and we added the Horta Greens as our accompaniment. We were very pleased with the choice. For dessert we were informed of the night's addition of Ekmek (creamy vanilla custard, whipped cream, honey shredded phyllo and pistachio topping), and we went with this, as the traditional Greek treat is one of our favorites. The dessert was a nice size portion and with Espresso and Ouzo it was the perfect way to top off our evening. LEFKES is the type of place where you can wear smart casual attire or come more dressed up and still feel comfortable. As the night went on, the clientele certainly leaned towards the latter with woman chicly dressed, donning strappy high heels and their favorite luxury purses. If you are interested in dressing to impress in that little black dress or designer suit, this is a wonderful place for a special night out. LEFKES does what they do well. Serious hot mess express! Started out by us being asked to stand by the bathrooms (party of 17) while they figure out the table situation for a reservation made month in advance. Finally at the table, drinks ordered and food was set to a prefix. What do you know, wrong drinks arrive. Waiter nowhere to be found. Apps where good but then we got 9 dry meat balls and 9 blank shrimp for a party of 17. Main course served to everyone but 1 guest, guess we will just forget one person why not. The people are sloppy drunk, women falling all over the place. Some drunk messes screaming at waiters and staff. As we are ready to leave there is broken glass on the outside staircase and one person from the party slips and cuts their finger, hey at least they had a bandage for that. But no "sorry about that, we will go clean it up" nada. Walk at your own risk. Parking lot is slammed they just hand you the keys and you have to navigate around with a bunch of drunks as they close the main entrance and you have to play a puzzle game trying to get out. Valentine's Day I'd come here once before for brunch on a Sunday and the service wasn't great and neither was the food. So I rolled the dice trying it for Valentine's Day dinner. I thought it might be better. First we requested a certain table and that wasn't available. No biggie. What I didn't like was that there was a Valentines Day fixed menu for $195.00 a couple. The menu was limited. They were not offering their regular menu a la carte. We ordered and nothing we had was delicious. Lobster bisque luke warm and everything was underwhelming. Dessert was a strange heart shaped something. It tasted awful. Really slow service and understaffed. I understand it was busy and our waiter was trying to juggle many tables. The manager from 2/17/2022, Thursday night, Thomas, racially profiled me. Because I am young, African American and female, I guess it gave him a right to snatch the "South African" Lobster away from me after I politely explained to another manager that the quality of beef they advertised as "filet" was below par. The steak was very fibrous, fatty and over all very poor quality for this caliber restaurant. The first manger agreed with me about the steak quality, took the below par steak away, leaving the mashed potatoes and "South African" lobster and offered lamb chops as a replacement. I was satisfied with how the first manager handled the situation- as I was not going to eat the steak and enjoy the rest of my meal. This was our second time at this establishment. We chose this place a second time due to our first welcoming experience from our waiter. The front of the house needs a clean up as well. The hostess was rude and unwelcoming and unprofessional after I requested to sit in the same spot that we sat last time, which was for four people- it was only three of us both times. I left this restaurant feeling devalued, judged and humiliated. I was there to speak to my clients about upcoming events, we meet quarterly. I'm from NYC and frequently dine at 5 star and exclusive restaurants. I have never felt this disappointed & disgusted by one individual in my life! I was embarrassed and he ruined our entire evening. I've been to Lefkes a few times for a birthday, and dinner and the food is absolutely outstanding but I wanted to share my experience about the Halloween event they had last night....I thought the entertainment was mediocre... there should have been some kind of contest....the bar service was awful.... Waited about 20 minutes at the bar for a bartender to even look up and acknowledge that I was waiting to order drinks for my friend and I...the bar was not that busy for them to take that long to take my drink order....chairs should be removed from the bar area to allow for more space for people to stand and walk around ... it feels very claustrophobic... the music was good and the ambiance was nice.... I really wish I was able to give this place negative stars. Please stay away! We had a 9:15pm reservation on Saturday for 3 people. We get there around 8:50ish and check in with the hostess and she tells us that our table will be ready soon to wait at the bar. Fast forward and it's now 11pm and we get an email from the restaurant saying that our reservation has been cancelled. We go up to the hostess and she calls the manager over which proceeds to tells us that they are sorry but the kitchen closed and we won't be getting a table. 2HOURS LATER! After we have gone multiple times up to the hostess and asked about the table and all they kept saying was "it will be ready soon". I understand if we were walk ins but we had made a reservations days ahead. So we never got a table after waiting 2 hours!!!! All we got was a weak half apology. The people we were standing next to at the bar had the same issue and they never got a table either. To make matters worse, the crowd that frequents this place is not the best. In the 3 hours we were there I witness a woman pulling another woman's hair and pushing her to the ground and then at the end of the night another fight broke out. The cops were called and there was blood everywhere. I felt very unsafe and no one was allowed to leave for almost an hour after the cops arrived because they were investigating. (Tried uploading a video but it's not letting me) All in all I will not be returning and would never recommend this place to anyone. The appetizers we got at the bar were not good. Drinks were not good. Very disrespectful cancelling our reservation at 11pm after having us wait for 2 hours. And last but not least, I am too old to be going to a restaurant were multiple fights break out and cops have to be called. There are much better places with great food and fun ambiance. When u make a reservation make sure u ask if they're gonna seat u in a tent in the parking lot lol

I write this as I'm sitting... reservation at 9:30 pm and seated at 10:30 pm.... Unbelievable and inexcusable The management has no idea what they are doing and are running around like chickens without a head. Excellent restaurant, great ambiance, lovely staff and amazing food. The renovated place is beautiful with 2 story and every area is decorated nicely. Couldn't be any nicer. Hostess was really welcoming too. We went for lunch and lunch price was really reasonable with huge portions. Food wasn't too salty, salmon was fresh, chicken was juicy and tender. Quality food and service in a beautiful restaurant in the area definitely. Would love to be back when weather is nicer as they seem to have patio seatings as well. read more

Lefkes is literally one of my favorite places to go to with the girls. I was at Lefkes last night, and it's NEVER a bad time. The food and drinks are delicious. I got there a little early and sat at the bar. Anthony, their bartender, was super helpful with selecting a cocktail for me. Not only did he make awesome drinks, but he was funny, charming, and can't leave out handsome. When we got to our table, we had our favorite appetizers, baked cheese& and hummus. I had their lamb and orzo, and it's to die for. The waiters were pleasant and fast with the food. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants a fun night out. read more

Exciting, chaotic, delightful are descriptive of my experience at Lefke's. A gorgeous summer day was the setting for a superb Mediterranean feast. Greek salad overflowing with garden fresh vegetables. Smoked salmon over poached eggs served in an outdoor tent. Staff , waiters, and managers went out of their way to accommodate and please our table. Service was cordial, & erratic as the wait staff was overwhelmed by The hungry crowd. Excellent pastries and coffee were a perfect end to our meal. The end result was a fabulous Mediterranean dining experience at a superb new venue. Make reservations as parking can be somewhat difficult! read more
