Medium spice level slider and tenders combo
Tina T.

Came back to Legend since I was nearby. This time I got combo 2 with "mild" spice level. It was a good portion. I ended up sharing with my husband since he wasn't too hungry. It comes with 2 tenders, 1 slider, fries and a drink. We had the choice of regular fries or Cajun fries. We went with the Cajun fries. Yummm! I called in my order and the person on the phone was helpful as she explained my options with choosing spice levels. I had asked her "for the tenders, could I do 1 mild & 1 medium?" But she said no and that they had to be the same spice level UNLESS I ordered additional tenders on the side. The order was ready when I came in to pick up. It was around 7:30pm and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Very casual and a fast food type of place. Will def be back : )

I'm Not a huge fan of fried chicken but this place I wouldn't mind going back. The food is freshly made not just chicken sitting from a few hours. The price is fair I don't mind paying for fresh food the service is good also the wait time is a little bit long but we have TikTok back so I didn't mind the wait. Clean location and also good service.

Revised Review 05/27/24. New and improved menu. More selections. They now have salads. Fried rice and more. Best hot chicken sando in the area! And they play K pop music!

This place is simply not worth it. Waited over 30 minutes for my order I appreciated that it was fresh but it was not fried chicken, the chicken was soggy and not crispy at all and for the price being over thirty dollars the quality of the food was not up too standards of what they advertise. The photos speak for themselves, these are just overpriced glazed chicken fillets

Really great staff! The staff are very helpful and are able to recommend spicy levels for all newcomers. If it is your first time, start at a lower spicy level. I made the mistake of starting out with the Hot and greatly regretting it. Even after smothering my food with lots of honey, it won't help. After a few tries, I figured out that I can only handle up to Medium spicy level. I liked both their chicken sandwiches and mac & cheese bowls. There is great "street" chicken wall art as well. It gives the location an "urban" vibe. Parking can be a bit difficult sometimes during lunch hour since it is part of a smaller shopping center that has other popular restaurants. I would recommend to come here during non-peak hours.

Yes! New spicy chicken place...Always welcome. We ordered the number 3. This came with 2 chicken strips a slider topped with your choice of mac and cheese or coleslaw and an order of fries. The slider is served on a regular size bun...not small at all. We had the medium spice level which had plenty of heat. The spice is a dry rub and the chicken was not dry in the center. We had the Cajun fries...The spice reminded me of Five Guys Cajun fries except the fries are a little larger. Hubby ate the slider and said the coleslaw was one of the best he has had on a sandwich. The mac and cheese was just okay. Service was great and if you pay with cash you get a 5% discount.

Loved everything I got to try out recently…read more The dirty fries were to die for. It had the perfect ratio of fries and chopped up chicken w/ their sauce on. I am ready for seconds! I really appreciated the fries actually not tasting soggy despite the seasoning on top. The chicken bowl with eggs were delicious too. I liked the coleslaw they included as well. It had a nice black pepper flavor to it that made everything taste a bit more brightened. I wish it gave me a no rice / all slaw option. I also liked the lack of sour / mayo laden nature of typical coleslaw. This, I wouldn't mind eating all the time. I usually otherwise can't stand coleslaws. The service was friendly and efficient. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of food I got. The place had good parking and the online ordering went through without a hitch. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

The crack sauce lives up to its name--it's slightly sweet, a little tangy, and tastes like a blend of BBQ and honey mustard with a sriracha kick. We had a large breakfast party and our food did not come out all together, with was a bummer!…read moreFood was very good! Hot food was hot, as it should be. The salsas are delicious! Service was great! I am a cinnamon roll lover, and I loved their warm glazed cinnamon roll. It is large and took it home to eat over the next couple days. I think I'd rather have had the sourdough toast. It looked good.

We drove 40 minutes specifically because of an Instagram post by @laoc.eats featuring a prime rib…read morethat looked incredible. Upon arrival, we were informed that the prime rib was only available during Father's Day weekend. It would have been nice if that little detail had been mentioned in the post that inspired the trip. Since we were already there and starving, we decided to stay. Mistake #1. The medium rare top sirloin arrived looking like it had lost a fight with a blowtorch. It was so overcooked and rubbery that we couldn't finish it. We brought the leftovers home thinking at least our dog would enjoy it. She sniffed it and walked away. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, you understand how impressive that is. The meatloaf somehow managed to transport me back to my hospital room after my appendectomy. If you've ever wondered what institutional cafeteria food tastes like with a side of disappointment, order the meatloaf. The coleslaw appeared to be made from aging cabbage with visible brown and pink bruising throughout. To save myself a trip to urgent care, I passed on trying it. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that showed signs of life, but the gravy was so salty it could probably preserve a mummy and contained the dried skin that forms when gravy sits out too long. Even the lemon slices in our water glasses were slimy. The atmosphere felt less like a destination restaurant and more like the dining room of an assisted living facility. The average age of the patrons appeared to be somewhere around 78, which honestly started making sense once the food arrived. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was pleasant, but she seemed just as confused as we were about what was actually available on the menu. We left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how many other people had made the same pilgrimage after seeing that Instagram post. At this point, I have to question whether @laoc.eats actually eats at the places being promoted or just photographs them. This was our second disappointing restaurant recommendation from that account, and it may be the last time we use it as a dining guide. Forty minutes there. Forty minutes back. One edible side dish. I should have just stayed home and made a sandwich.

The Potholder Café - Los Alamitos, CA February 7, 2026…read more 3.5 Stopped by The Potholder Café in Los Alamitos this morning and had a solid breakfast/lunch experience. The service really stood out -- very friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. I ordered the BLT ($13.95), and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. The bacon was fresh and nicely cooked, and the thick tomato slices made a big difference. Simple, well-executed, and satisfying. Other items at the table included Oatmeal Works ($11.95) and The Couch ($19.95), which looked generous and hearty. Prices are what you'd expect for a local sit-down breakfast spot, with a total bill coming in just over $50 for three people. Overall, this was a pleasant visit with good food and excellent service. Not mind-blowing, but very solid -- and based on the friendliness alone, I would return and try more items next time.

Some of our favorites: The Salinas omelette - artichokes, mushroom, tomato, jack and cheddar cheese. Our choice sides: beans and corn tortillas. Portions are big and perfect to share. Healthy turkey sandwich - loaded with red onions, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Love this on sour dough bread. Belgian waffle - topped with berries and bananas and tons of butter. Always perfect with a cup of joe, which is pretty strong in comparison to other diners. Love. The menu is pretty extensive and for sure there something for anyone. Also check out the weekday specials. Service is super friendly. And depending on time of day, you will get your meal timely. Weekday mornings are less crowded lately especially now that summer is over. Music streams the diner and really takes you back to the 80's. So enjoy, all you Gen X!
