Finished food waiting to be served.

So the food is delicious and there was a deal to make the sandwiches cheaper from an already reasonable price and the inside was clean and tidy. The service was professional. Not welcoming but professional and that is just fine. They were extremely busy with online orders coming in, the phone ringing nonstop and customers waiting. That is exactly why the mark down. They were too busy for the staff they had. There was no expediter so food that was done stacked up at the kitchen window. The line at the register was backed up because the person who was supposed to be taking orders had to help make sandwiches. Really it is a shame because this place could be great and bigger than what it is but the lack of staff is holding this place back.

I got a delicious turkey bacon avocado "Lenny's style" with spicy sauce...it was not spicy for $8. I like my giardiniera and they didn't add it. For the price, I want what I asked for. No fries at this spot. Just chips.

Regular Philly Cheesesteak with added green bell peppers, provolone and mayo.

Philly Steak and Cheese are in my top 5 favorite foods. I have eaten them all over San Antonio and am normally dissatisfied. Lenny's has the best Philly Cheesesteak I have had in San Antonio!

Used to frequent Lenny's when I worked at the hospital some years back, and the subs were tasty and always made fresh. My favorite is the Philly cheesesteak, hoagie style. They also make it a salad. Make sure you get the pepper relish as it's unique but necessary because of the taste. There is nothing else like this at other places. On this visit, they were out of pepper relish, which was sad. The average price depends on what size sandwich, but you can get a large sandwich combo with a drink and either chips or cookie for around $14. Nice corner spot with drive-through, lots of parking and they do offer dine in with a limited amount of tables.

I literally love Lenny's. The buffalo chicken sub is the best and the chocolate chip cookie is always warm and chewy.

The service was impeccable the staff and everybody was very quick friendly and the food came out within minutes and it was very busy at that time They have their stuff together here so I definitely recommend even as a restaurant owner myself it was easy to see how well these guys do their hot dogs.

Our first night in San Antonio, we checked into the hotel, rested for a little bit, and…read morethen.....boop.....out to eat we went because that's what we do . My husband found this spot, and being from Chicago, I was immediately interested. I grew up on thin crust pizza, cut in squares, with Italian sausage and jalapeños. That is my kind of pizza, period. So of course that's what we ordered, except we added pepperoni too. And listen.....it did what it needed to do. The pizza was thin, cheesy, flavorful, and cut the right way.....in squares. We got a small, I believe around 12 inches, and it was perfect for us. I also had to get a Chicago dog because.....hello.....CHICAGO. Fresh ingredients, poppy seed bun, all the proper toppings, and the Vienna Beef dog was right on point. My husband also ordered a pizza puff because somehow this man claims he doesn't remember eating pizza puffs back in the day. Sir.....we definitely used to get those for you . The only thing missing was some good Chicago mild sauce. Had that been there, whew.....complete throwback. But honestly, the experience was bigger than just the food for me. The decor is ALL Chicago. Cubs, Bears, Bulls, jerseys, memorabilia, old photos, Chicago PD references.....everywhere you look, there's something that takes you back. I was walking around recording with my Ray-Ban Metas because the memories were just coming. I even asked who was from Chicago because I already knew SOMEBODY had to be . Turns out, the owner is, and he was actually the one who took our order and brought out our food. Service was great. You order at the counter, they bring your food to the table, and there's a self-service area for drinks and condiments. They also offer beer and wine, although we stuck with fountain drinks. And then my husband handed me an RC Zero. Listen.....I had not had RC Cola since before I left for the military at 19. Talk about a blast from the past. Overall, great food, great service, and a serious dose of Chicago nostalgia. If you're from Chicago, or just love Chicago-style food and sports culture, this place is worth checking out. Whenever we're back in San Antonio, we'll definitely be back for my Chicago fix. I almost forgot... they was on Triple D's w/Guy Fieri... Diner, Drives & Dives.

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.

Yeah, okay, it's convenient, but by the time you pay to park (minimum of four hours, which pissed me off) and then have your tiny, overpriced burger...you gonna be mad. Do yourself a favor and fight for street parking. I walked up to the outside counter Saturday night about 7:20. Never been here. The ladies behind the counter obviously could NOT have cared less. No nice welcome...no pleasantries. Nothing said. I spoke first, asking about seating availability inside (it was chilly), and they were rude - looked at me like I was from outer space and said they didn't know. They said they didn't know in that "yeah, good luck with that...it's Saturday at 7, dumbass" kinda way. How could you not know? And if you truly didn't know, which one of them should have gone to check for me. So I went and checked myself. Turns out: plenty of seating. Returned to the chilly duo and placed my order. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. The only reason I gave the third star: neat, dog friendly outside area which would be cool for a group outing. Probably not going back.
