On Nov 2, I took my family here for a late lunch. My cashier overcharged my card. I was not afforded the $5 regular sandwich promotion. Technically my rating is 4 stars, but the management goes so above and beyond to make it right that I gave them 5 stars. The services is always fast and polite. But I would recommend checking your order before driving off if you are in the drive thru. I really love the Cheese Original, but really wish they had a regular mayonnaise, not the light version. It's rare that I write a review for a chain, let alone a follow up review for a chain. As I said in my original review, they have really good sandwiches on really great tasting sourdough bread (but the sandwiches are pricy). On my latest visit, the devil possessed me and encouraged me to order one of their calzones. I had the BBQ chicken calzone. It was good and it was a very large serving using Schlotzky's signature sourdough bread. The problem is that this delicious bread is not intended to be used in a calzone. It was really no different than eating a cooked Schlotzky's sandwich but it was more expensive. My advice is to ignore the devil's temptations and skip their calzones. Save your money up for those one or two times per year that you can afford to go to Schlotzky's and order a sandwich instead. *Don't forget to order something different - try the Albuquerque Turkey sandwich. Looks like they take a pepperoni pizza that's made add a little sauce and the veggies and sausage are thrown on the center of pizza without cooking it. And I don't think it had cheese on it. Very mediocre experience here! We came as a group from work and immediately placed our orders, but the orders were slow to come out and when they did, folks were missing items... Such as no salad dressing for their salads or missing a side of soup. When ordering, they said they were out of roast beef. The Fiesta Sandwich was just ok, but it definitely had no "Fiesta" flavors to it! No spice to it and the bread was flavorless, for being jalapeño bread. The place was moderately clean. I've loved Schlotzsky's since I was a kid, so after moving back to Texas I was excited to be near one again. I made a stop at this location, in a rush due to my travel timeline. I ordered food for myself and a couple family members, and immediately after, the ordering and payment system crashed. The employee at the register Armina (I think?) took my order down on paper so they could get it started. After several minutes and the system was still not up, the owner, Jorge, came out to help. When I told him I wanted to take my order to go, he said it was my lucky day, and could take it without payment! I've always been a fan of Schlotzsky's sandwiches. The bread is very tasty especially the jalapeño cheese bread. I decided to try the spicy turkey bbq bacon smoke cheesy sandwich. It's one of their new sandwiches. It's flavorful and has a nice kick of spice. I love their hot sauce.I put it on the sandwich and some of the jalapeño chips. It's a bit pricey to eat there regularly. I eat at Schlotzsky's less than five times a year for that reason. Coupons really help to not make it too expensive to eat there. I recommend eating there if you want something a little different from your normal sandwich. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas tonight (BOGO promo)--one Supreme & one Four Cheese White pizza. Both were not good. Ordered supreme with no mushrooms & paid upcharge for extra pepperoni. The green peppers on it were raw, & I wonder how little pepperoni would have been on it without me paying for extra. Italian sausage was gross. Could hardly find any red onions or marinara sauce. Dough was raw in areas--undercooked. The other pizza was horrible--didn't taste good at all & was also undercooked with raw dough in crust. Won't order pizzas from Schlotzsky's again. I came here to get lunch to go for the first time. It was pretty quiet inside and clean. Their French onion soup is pretty good, it could use more cheese and less bread in it though. The caprese sandwich is also good, but I think I will go without the lettuce next time since it's mediocre and they used a lot. Every time I go to this Schlotzsky's their service is horrible. Previously went into the restaurant because the line was so long in the drive thru. Only to wait 45 minutes. The manager noticed how long I was standing there and brought me my order. Now today 12/11/22 we went thru the drive thru. There were no cars In front of us At 4:20pm. Watch out for that ice maker- it tends to dump ice everywhere like a Canadian storm or something. They play classical music over the loudspeakers, which is classy. My only disappointment during this visit was that given this company's focus on freshness, when I asked for avocado I expected avocado slices but instead got what seemed like a thin spread of avocado flavored paste. It was such a small quantity that it was hardly distinguishable from the lettuce which sat on it. Funny name. Serious Sandwich. Or so Schlotzsky's marketing department would have us believe. Alright, I have to admit: I agree with them. Yes, about both parts. I really love a Schlotzsky's sandwich. Their sourdough bread is thin and circular, almost more like a bagel than anything else, but less chewy. I usually order their smoked turkey breast sandwich, which comes topped with lettuce, tomato, and a mayonnaise sauce. The sandwich isn't huge, but it is still filling and if you don't get totally full, you can always round out your meal with a Cinnabon. Not a bad dilemma to have, if you ask me. I have also tried a salad and their pizza, both of which I enjoyed. Service at Schlotzsky's usually is decent, but they have plenty of seating and will leave you alone if you have need of their wi-fi. A bonus: if you like circular food, this is your place.
