They have entrance off the side right now (idk if coz of Covid), and have the exit at the door facing Front St. There are nice partitions in between tables so patrons are separated from each other. They have a paper specials menu, and the regular menu is thru a QR code. Idk if i was just hungry from my walk in the park, or what. But the food I had is amazing! This has always deliver top quality food. Every time I visit people in New Jersey, I always make an effort to make it out to Lenora's. Honestly, for as many times I have come, I only ever get item. I always get the Chilaquiles with over-medium eggs. Every time, it comes out banging! It has never been soggy, the eggs are cooked perfectly, and the touch of avocado and sour cream as the garnish is too good. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star, is because the of the way the place looks. It is a very old school design, that hasn't changed in anyway for years. They had put up a few decorations for Christmas, but all of the permanent pictures as things could use a bit of an over haul. read more

I stopped in for lunch and decided on the Pernil Chimichanga. The presentation was good and the taste was great. The perfect atmosphere inside and I will be making this one of my regular stops. This was probably the hardest review for me yet! This little restaurant located in downtown Keyport is truly amazing and theres no doubt about that. I went with a friend and I was famished so I ordered the Mexican omelette and I believe the Banana Crunch Waffle. The Mexican Omelette although very good wasn't amazing. I would order it again but it just didn't WOW me or my taste buds. This consisted of egg, chorizo,onions, cheese, and sour cream all on top of soft tortilla. Now the Banana Crunch Waffle was out of this world amazing!! This consited of banana, a sweet crunchy topping, Carmel sauce, and powdered sugar on a Belgian waffle! This was out this world amazing it is the perfect combination of ingredients! The waffle was prepared perfectly so soft and the toppings weren't overpowering so you could still enjoy the taste of the waffle. I would Definitely come back to order just this waffle on a rainy day to brighten up my day! The reason this was the hardest review for me because although it may seem as if I am singing their praises, unfortunately the service was not up to par. Through out my experience there I ordered some water to go with my hot chocolate and had to ask for it THREE times before it came. Than my friend ordered a soup and they bought her out the wrong one, the gust next to me didnt receive his complete order. When we asked for more time to look over the menu we were practically stranded there at the table waiting for the waitress to come back. Lastly we ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and were given the Caesar salad. If only one mishap occurred it wouldn't bother me/us but for this to happen all in one sitting it was quite annoying! We found this cute little restaurant by accident one morning. The restaurant is small only about 15 tables , but it does not feel cramped and is decorated very nicely. The coffee is very good here . We tried several dishes . We had waffles with strawberries,bananas and peaches . My only complaint was the peaches were from a can , while the other fruits were fresh . The corned beef hash was excellent, had alot of flavor. The chicken tacos were flavorless and only contained chicken and cilantro, the red sauce with it tasted like warm tomato sauce . The buffalo wings were the smallest wings I've ever seen and had no flavor . The staff was very friendly and they worked as a team to make sure everyone was well taken care of . Found this great little gem one day when we were going to Sandy Hook. Planned on Perkins as I haven't been there in ages. Since there was like 40 people outside waiting, I was like Oh hellz no. Wow. I've lived down here since 2012, my husband since way before that, and we never ever knew this place existed! Found it on yelp, and decided to try it today for breakfast. Got the breakfast quesadilla. Changed chorizo to bacon and skipped beans. Delicious. Perfectly cooked and eggs were fluffy and fresh. Husband had the chiliquiles. Loved it. The green salsa was spicy and it was a good portion Small oj is pretty big. They top off your coffee without being prompted. 22 dollars for all of it. No wait and friendly service. I went to the Keyport Antique Festival and came here for lunch. My friend had heard such good things about it so we decided to give it a try. My parents came to lunch with us as well. Atmosphere is pretty cozy and staff was super nice. The girls were on top of everything and a guy kept refilling our water. The menu is pretty big and they serve breakfast all day as well. There was so much to choose from and being super hungry it was hard to make a decision. I, along with my friend and mom, ended up getting a meal on the specials called chilaquiles and chicken. I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't what I expected. Lol. It was really good though and a decent size, enough to fill me but not make me stuffed. The specials also come with your choice of soup or dessert. My friend and I got the chicken and rice soup but it wasn't all that wonderful. It was filled with lots of rice and kinda salty for me. I'm also not one for salt though. With my moms meal she got the dessert which was only flan. She enjoyed it but I'm not a fan of the texture of flan. Wasn't a fan. Since Leonora's cafe opened I have been a regular, stopping during weekdays as well as weekends for breakfast and sometimes lunch. Well that ends today with her unbelievable rudeness! I had breakfast after church with a friend and, yes, we can talk sometimes for hours on end. But we are more than aware when there is a crowd waiting, albeit infrequently, and will give up our table. In fact, more often than not, alone or with a friend, I am the one flagging down wait staff for a refill or the bill while the staff just stands there talking. Today they were unusually busy and WITH my bill I got notice from Leonora herself that she needed the table. The food is good, the service is poor, and now they've lost a regular customer.
