I got the Lenny. It was a complete let down. It was almost all meat, which was lukewarm, instead of hot like it should be. The cheese wasn't melted and the sauerkraut flavors did not complement the flavors of the meat and bread. As for the bread, I got marbled rye, which was good, but it should have been toasted. Why would you serve a hot sandwich on non toasted bread? The sandwich was around $8 and I would much rather have gone somewhere else to pay less for a better deli sandwich. I've been coming to this location for the last 6 months, as its been a reliable place to grab breakfast or a sandwich for lunch close to my office. Unfortunately during my last 5 visits, my order has been completely incorrect. I'm not sure where the disconnect is, as my order is always correct on the receipt, but its grown to be very frustrating. Is there new management? This is a recent change so not sure why its been so disappointing. It's a bummer when you're in the mood for a sandwich that you pay $10 for, but then cannot eat because it's not what you want. read more

Tasty as Lenny's should be. Reasonably priced (not great, but reasonable for downtown NYC). The customer service is pretty crappy.... not friendly (and I've been to this one about four times so I have experience with several of the employees) but not so bad that it keeps me away. read more

Not a call home to Mom kind of place, but it gets the job done! Had a decent Honey BBQ Chicken sandwich and it took a decent amount of time to make, was warm when it came out, but was mostly bland. The mozzarella wasn't melted, and the BBQ sauce was poorly seasoned. Overall, a solidly average sandwich. read more

The only thing that I can appreciate about this place is their wide variety of things to buy. That being said, the food is sub-par, the flavors are mediocre. . .all in all I think they're trying to be everything to everyone, and at the end of the day, they're putting out a wide variety of really bland food. On top of that, the ordering process is a total mess. You walk to the back of the store, you have no idea where to start your order or where to finish it off. During peak lunch time, it's so disorganized and chaotic, I just can't stand it. You have no idea when your order is coming up, or how to pay, when to pay. . .like I said, it's a disaster. At nonpeak times, its much easier to order, but still very disorganized. Staff were generally friendly and helpful, so that's good. All in all, I don't know if there's anything that would bring me back here to eat, because there are so many other great options around here. I don't know why this place really has a big crowd at lunch. Truthfully, it's mediocre. . .it's more so that people go there just because it happens to be there, but not because the food is good. . .because it definitely is not good or great. . .it's very blah. Great sandwiches and good service. I eat here a few times a week and I am happy with everything I have gotten.

We have been customers of this Lenwich for years, grabbing dinner from them a couple of times per week. We've always known the customer service at this location was weak, but it didn't matter because the vast majority of time, we ordered via Seamless. Two nights ago, we received someone else's delivery order, but the restaurant was closed by the time of our delivery, so no one answered our calls. We emailed them to inform them our delivery was completely incorrect, but did not receive a reply. When I called late in the afternoon the next day, the gentleman on the phone agreed to deliver a new order that evening in order to compensate for the previous evening's mistake. Great! However, an hour later, we received another call from a different employee telling us they weren't going to deliver our proper order and that it wasn't his problem to deal with. I asked to speak to a manager, to which I received the reply, "The manager doesn't give a shit about your order." After pleading with the guy to just make two new sandwiches and have them delivered to us to make up for the ones we had to throw out the night before, he continued with "not my problem" and hung up on me. Needless to say, Lenwich has lost our business for good, which is too bad, because that was one of our regular spots. read more

My friend told me to go here, but I was a little skeptical because of the negative reviews about service. I went around 9 am so maybe I missed the breakfast rush but I didn't have a long wait and my breakfast sandwich was really good! I definitely recommend the pastrami. Nice and salty and yummy! We order from Lenny's with reckless abandon....for breakfast, lunch and occasional dinners. Lenny's is absolutely always consistent and reliable and have a great menu that lets you customize your meal if you wish, which is great if you're trying to healthy. Nothing is saturated in oil or fat like most other deli's and all of the salad fixings are extremely fresh, making the salads a very appetizing option. Their coffee is excellent and the fresh iced tea is great. They cater which is perfect when you need a sandwich platter with some chips and sides. Only downside would be the $2.75 delivery fee (which is different from the gratuity charge), sometimes we try to order and pick up to save on that cost but delivery is fast and they have never made a mistake. This place is clean and fresh so it's hard to complain when you think about some of the gross alternatives in this area. 5 stars for Lenwich! read more

I was extremely pleased with my service at Lenwich today. I woke up this morning knowing deep in my heart that I wanted a turkey sandwich. And no, this wasn't going to be your typical turkey sandwich. I wanted all the bells and whistles. I wanted a whole wheat hero scooped out and toasted well with turkey, melted alpine lace cheese, cole slaw, avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and Russian dressing. The employee who took my order played very close attention and NAILED IT! And it only took about 5 minutes for them to prepare the sandwich. This place is it guys. The delivery here is VERY fast. I iove how they wrap each sandwich with the order details so when you're ordering for a group you know which sandwich is which w/o opening it up. Prices are good and reasonable too. Haven't actually been to the restaurant so can't comment on that experience. read more

I really don't understand why they can never get anything right. We still continue to order from this location in hopes that they get it right because it's so convenient until today. First, ordered a honey turkey sandwich and received ham, I had to swap lunch with my coworker. Next time, ordered a kale salad, received romaine lettuce. My coworker ordered a teriyaki wrap with no cheese, they add cheese. Next time, order a chicken wrap I ask what kind of sauce do you have? They offer a Parmesan sauce, I say yes! I receive It excited to try this Parmesan(cheese) sauce and it's red sauce with peppers in it. My coworker ordered an Athens wrap & of course she wanted condiments on the side, butter, jelly and ketchup. They put the condiments ON THE WRAP!!! WTH?! Now today we order a tomato spinach and mozzarella omelette, there is no doubt in my mind that this mozzarella is as old as my grandmother!! My omelette smells sour! Oh and my "butter toast" is just bread, not toasted, not buttered. This office is officially done with this Lenwich location. And last, those poor delivery guys have made so many trips back and forth fixing the kitchens mistakes. read more
