Such a wonderful place to stop by on our way from the Bay Area to LA. We stopped for gas and saw Leo's Cafe across the street, thinking it was about time for brunch. It looks like the Breakfast and Dinner options are served during the entire operating hours of 8am-2pm. We were met with a warm welcome from the waitress and the service was superb. I got the biscuits and gravy (which came with 3 biscuits) and a cup of fruit (grapes, oranges, and cantaloupe) My partner got the meat mountain omelette and the total came out to be around $30. The place is very quaint but has lots of seating indoors and outdoors. There is a 1 stall restroom, and as a cute addition, there is a guest book for the customers to sign!

Great little cafe in the historic town of San Miguel. Great stop off the highway. Good for pick up orders also. Always good to meet great people who own small businesses. A must!

Another fabulous meal at Leo's. They knocked it out of the park on both of our entrees. The chili relleno was the best I ever had. Great flavor, moist, hot and an amazing chunky tomato salsa. You could have rice and beans or potatoes and eggs for your sides. My wife had the Denver omelette, flavorful onions, two kinds of peppers, cheese. Tasty and tender! The family always provides friendly service! Come on in

I visited Leo's Cafe, a cozy and unassuming restaurant in San Miguel, CA. I tried their French toast combo and it was delicious! Their customer service is magnificent. Check them out if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

We have been here two or three times while in the area to do wine tasting and have not been disappointed. The food is great and we enjoy their omelettes and other menu items. Don't be discouraged from the street, It's such a cute and comfortable place and the food is outstanding. Don't miss Leo's cafe while in San Miguel!

I was headed north unexpectedly early, so had time for a breakfast stop. Rather than hit up any of the trendy spots in Paso, I decided to hop north a tad further and support smaller biz an a very small community. Came upon Leo's and look forward to my return! Upon approach, I was a bit turned off by their signage which invested more space in training people away (no dogs! No public restroom! Not a coffee house!) than inviting them in. Hey, if people want froo-froo coffee so often you have to put up a sign, maybe it's time to invest in an espresso maker. (Check with your local coffee roaster for their test-drive/rent-to-buy programs.) I almost turned around, but took a breath and gave it a shot. Once inside I was warmly greeted by the sole server in a midweek morning. A couple of old farmers chatted over breakfast in one corner. A woman at another small table gnoshed and stared at her phone streaming video with sound full on while a toddler in a stroller sought her attention. Another solo diner quietly worked his way through breakfast in this tiny dining room that (thankfully) hasn't been updated in a good while. Except for the screaming phone screen, it was old-school comfortable. The menus was loaded with options and I settled on comfort food with a twist. Biscuits and gravy made with chorizo was excellent. I'm a big eater, but I had to pack up half as leftover (greatly enjoyed the following morning). I'll be back.

Needed food and a break to stretch our legs from the long drive. Found Leo's Cafe! Cute little family owned restaurant, serving breakfast and Mexican food. I had the corn beef hash and easy over eggs with biscuits! My husband ordered the Ortega Burger with onion rings. Overall food was good - a little too salty for my taste but it certainly hit the spot.

Cute idea, they have a guest book for you to sign!

Leo's is always my go to spot when I am traveling through central California. I would love to see more people in there filling the place up. It has a great atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic food. I typically order the breakfast burrito and it is always delicious. Today I got an egg combo and it was also very good. My boyfriend and I will continue to come back whenever we are passing by. Thanks for a great experience!

I got the Jose Burger with fries- burger with bacon, grilled onions, Ortega chili and American cheese. It was a pretty meaty burger. Had pickles, lettuce and tomato and lathered with mayo. Had to request mustard and ketchup. Burger was impressively good. Fries were thin and fried. Kinda remind me of shoestring fries. Our server, Danny, truly made the evening special. He was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and had such positive energy throughout the night. We had our little ones with us, and he was incredibly accommodating and patient, making sure everyone at the table felt taken care of. It's rare to find service that feels so genuine, and Danny absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the bone marrow appetizer and turned it into a luge--which was such a fun experience! We also ordered a basket of fries with the goat cheese ranch for the kids, and even those were amazing. For our entrées, we had the Pork Chop Milanese, the Wagyu steak, and the Etto Truffle Pasta. Every single dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite because they were all outstanding. The cocktails deserve a special mention because they were an experience all on their own. We ordered the whiskey-forward cocktails, with one arriving in a smoke-filled box and the other presented in a lit, smoke-filled chest. The presentation was theatrical, creative, and so much fun while still delivering incredible flavor. To top it all off, Danny surprised us with sparkling wine to celebrate my husband's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. From the exceptional service to the unforgettable food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Thank you, Danny, and the entire Alchemists' Garden team, for helping make my husband's birthday so special. We can't wait to come back!

He was a younger guy and we had a lot of requests and he delivered on all of them and he didn't forget items. He had a good attitude. We sat inside at our usual large table. I had shrimp tacos. My only suggestion is they need to add cilantro to the salsa, it's bland. And create a medium salsa with some kick. Not just tomatoes. . Amber had carnitas tacos. Dan had a burger and Caden ate 9 had an adult meal of pulled pork sandwich. It comes with beans but they weren't chile beans it tasted like sweet beans. We prefer chile beans. Like SM style. Connor had the 2 sliders kids meal and he liked it. For the table we had large order onion rings. Small is 4. Large is 8. They are homemade breaded, not batter and were very good. We had done drinks. Amber wasn't happy because she ordered a berry old fashioned and it cost more and the berry garnish was missing and it was just okay. The bartender was annoying. He first dropped some bottles very loudly and cursed loudly so all guests including my grandsons heard it. He is an old codger and since his drinks were slow coming out and not good I would replace him. I think it's hard to get staff but it's a nice location to work and hours aren't bad. I had the Split of sparkling wine so he couldn't mess up my drink. We'll be back again. I come back because I'm hopeful and I like the environment and it's close to our home.

The town was hosting live music at the plaza across the street so we sat outside facing the plaza. It was a great way to enjoy our meal! The place was pretty packed because of the World Cup going on (Mexico vs Korea) so I understand why our server was a bit slow. She was handling tables inside and outside but keep in mind when it gets busy you may wait a bit longer for things. I ordered "The Steak" which is a hangar steak with a compound butter on top and Brussels sprouts on the side, I subbed potatoes for coleslaw. The steak was cooked nicely and had a great crust on the outside, very flavorful with just the right amount of saltiness. The Brussels were some of the best I've had even though they were so simple. I ate every last one! The slaw was ok but not a ton of flavor, it was pretty light on the sauce. We also got an order of bacon wrapped jalapeños with cilantro ranch. They were so good! We destroyed them in seconds while burning our tongues on the lava-like cheese. Worth it!
