Leo's is my favorite pizza place in town. If you like pepperoni pizza you should definitely try the "lion king". This restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly but best of all the food is delicious. read more

You can't get any better pizza and the Greek salad is amazing. The only thing I ever had there that was not good is the chicken parm sub. Basically just a bunch of chicken McNuggets on a roll with some sauce and cheese on it. The kids that work there are nice too. read more

First I would like to say I am from New York and usually when I order pizza outside of New York I am disappointed. Well not this place. I enjoyed my meal. The antipasta could have used a little more cold cuts but the pizza excellent. I had the meat lovers and it was truly a meat lovers pizza. It was layered with ham, chunks of Italian sausage and ground beef. I might be missing something but it was excellent. I also ordered buffalo wings and they were great as well. Simply, the BEST pizza in Rhode Island. I know some claim Caserta's on Federal Hill is the best, but they probably haven't tried Leo's Pizza. Leo is most definitely the KING OF PIZZA. Not only can you get the regular pizza parlor menu items, but Leo also offers wonderful specialty pizzas as well. I suggest the grilled chicken peppercorn pizza. It is absolutely fabulous. Last Saturday, we took my son's youth group to Leo's, and he easily accomodated us. The waitresses were outstanding seeing to our every need. Was working in Newport & thought that sending my elderly Dad a pizza, unexpectedly, would be a nice gesture. I called my Dad to ask how the pizza was only to be informed that no pizza had been delivered.I called Leo's & complained & was called a liar & a scammer. I spoke to "Leo" the following day to be accused of the same. After some heated words, "Leo" told me to stop in, get a refund & not do business with him, again. "Leo", you're a horrible businessman & you showed your true colors over a $20.00 pizza that your incompetent help didn't deliver. I urge residents & visitors alike to avoid this place. Probably the worst pizza I've ever consumed. I think a Celeste frozen pizza or a two day old Dominos pie could top this. Got a large cheese and large buff chicken. The cheese pizza was doughy and undercooked, and the crust had the consistency of wet cardboard. Probably a 2/10. Not even ideal for a drunk college pizza. I truly did not think it could get worse until I tried the buffalo pie. There was RED SAUCE on the buffalo chicken pie, which was absolutely disgusting. Where to begin? I loved Leos in the 90's but fell out of the habit of ordering pizza til the fourth of july, when I had nothing to eat in the house. Knowing it woukd be a busy nightbeverywhere in town , i called Leos and ordered a pizza and chicken parm grinder. They told me an hour. The pizza was delicious as was the grinder. Both put any other pizza place in town to shame. If they can cook and deliver superb pizza and grinders on the busiest day of the pizza year, they can do anything. One note. The sign of good cheese on a pizza is its stringiness. This cheese was the stringiest I have had in years. Ive ordered food from Leos three noghts in a row and each pizza and grinder was more tasty than the last. Second note. Their chicken subs and onpizzas is so good it s sinful. Yes, the pizza is very good to excellent, but what made this place 5 stars for me was how kid friendly it was. First, our waitress was very friendly and patient. More importantly, they have a little area near the booths for kids to play while you wait for food. Not much, just s play kitchen, chalkboard, and some puzzles, but enough to keep the little ones busy. There's also a pinball machine, Ms Pac man/Galaga, and one of those crane/claw games. This is a great pizza joint. Nothing fancy, just great service, and pretty good ingredients in generous proportions. We came in late, looking for a place after 10, and were pleasantly surprised. Decent for Rhode Island pizza but if you are from NY area it just does not compare! Sat inside and service took forever for just a pizza place so if you want a quick bite just order for take out. On vacation and without a car for the day. We called ordered pizza and wings for delivery. They gave us a time frame of delivery and then called us back 10 minutes later telling us they didn't deliver "that far"?! First of all. .. they accepted our order and second of all. .. they seriously thought it was ok and professional to call us back and tell us no and third. .. we are in Narragansett! So we were irritated but we called around and ordered from The Bike Stop instead, which had great customer service. I then called Leo's back to tell them our irritation and talk to a manager. ..a girl answered and said "I don't think we have a manager" then a boy answered and said "we don't really have a manager here and I don't make the rules" I asked who made the rules and he said the owner. Well owner of Leos... your pizza place lost business to a competitor forever. How sad. From our experience, this seems like a place that had an owner that let's kids and in experienced people running it. If this continues, Leo's may start to get bad reviews which leads to loss of business. Oh and btw...if you didn't deliver "that far" and an employee made a mistake, you still should have delivered just this once and informed us at delivery that you cannot deliver here again. I've ordered from Leo's for years; the pizza is okay but they are conveniently located. Tonight I ordered a large BBQ pizza for $16.99 and a diet coke, and was charged $26.99 - so either the prices have changed and don't match their online menu, or they charge $10 for a bottle of soda. Just a caveat that the prices on the online menu are not accurate. I think they are officially too expensive for me now! Be forewarned. read more

My family and I were staying at a beach house in Narragansett, we ordered from Leo's which we have done multiple times in the past and they told us 45 minutes at about 9pm. 40 minutes later they called and said they couldn't deliver that far, so I went back and fourth with the guy asking if that is the case why didn't they call earlier because it's getting late and we were waiting. He finally said he'd come this one time, which I appreciated. He showed up 10 minutes later with the most disgusting pizza (see pic). It was supposed to be half cheese half buff chicken the cheese half had no cheese because it was stuck to the side of the box and the buffalo side looked like it wasn't even cooked. It was so bad that I called back to complain, i asked for a manager but the kid refused to give me one he asked what was wrong. I told them that I understand that they don't deliver to us and I didn't want another pizza or even my money back, just to let them know how the pizza came and how we just paid $20 for something to go into the trash. I also said we won't be ordering from there going forward. His response was that's fine we don't deliver there anyways! My go to place for comfort food! Handy location for me as I live very close by. I'm usually very pleased with the quality and taste. Not always consistant though, as I'm sure most retaurants have "off" days. The BBQ chicken wings are usually fantastic..plump, juicy and saucy that has orange juice undertones, though a few times Ive gotten them small, and dry and more bottom halves than tops. There is a couple really good priced Italian dinners, just watch out for the pasta, it can be watery and bland specially if it's a delivery. Snack crusts are awesome, cheezy and garlicky and such a good price, and I love the blue cheese dressing, I could eat it by the spoonful! My fave specialty pizza is the Mediterranian, which is vegetarian..eggplant, artichoke, gorgonzola and more! They sometimes bring pizza that noone picked up to the bar next door at closing time which is really nice of them to do! read more

If you order over the phone BEWARE! While I was at Leo's I heard the chef tell the girl taking orders over the phone to "Charge them double". What kind of a place does that, kinda sleazy. If you order over the phone, make sure you know the price of what your getting first. Although, I wouldn't order from here again. The pizza was terrible, it tasted like they poured an entire bucket of grease over the pizza, the cheese/ toppings wouldn't stay on because the pizza was so greasy. My family and I ordered (along with a pizza and an eggplant sub) two calzones- one was a "make your own" and the other, and veggie calzone. The "make your own" arrived at our house containing mushrooms-which we did not order, considering my mother is highly allergic. We were hesitant to call back, but decided to request they deliver the correct order, given that my mom couldn't eat the calzone we paid for.
