One of our favorite places to have family dinners at. It has been in business for over 65 years. The pizza is delicious here. I love their supreme pizza and the cheese pizza the most. Their house antipasto salad is amazing and I always order it. Pastas are good as well. The linguini in clam sauce is perfection. I can go on and on. The service is great so is the ambiance. It's very dated but it works just fine. I love the atmosphere of this place. Feels like you are back in the 60s (not that I was alive in the 60s lol) anyways you get the point. A must try if you haven't been. We used to live nearby years ago and would visit very often. Now not so much but from time to time I feel like dining here. Last night we ordered to go food while visiting some family nearby. It was a great meal, even for take out. read more

Great pizza. Order takeout so I did not experience the service. The atmosphere is dated but if I was to eat inside the food would make up for the dated interior. Pizza is awesome but priced on the high side. Two pizzas were almost $70! read more

It's cute to come here with family and get some good pizza! For me all their pastas are a miss and not worth the order but getting pizza and salad is great! The staff is always so attentive so that's great. I came here with a bigger party once and they were great at accommodating us. Terrible service, food was not that good at all, definitely run down terrible place to go. The server (middle age Latino man short trim beard) was rude, ignored going to our table, never once checked on us, allot of aggression and rude looks didn't care to drop the bill off or anything. A couple came shortly we did after and received better service from the guy who served us and got their food first before us.I could've rated this place better but he made me realize it's a poor restaurant with low expectations definitely locals keep this place alive. read more

I've been coming here for YRS! Since 2003. And the food was always great and not to mention the service was excellent. Rey was our waiter for a while and we still miss him but the service isn't bad, we had good service the other day. We've actually never had bad service here. I don't know if there has been a change in ownership but there's a few things that were noticeably different. Starting with the staff. The host was INTERESTINGLY wearing a red safety vest... IN A RESTAURANT? A safety vest??? I don't want to be offensive and bring up being mentally challenged but a host should be wearing something professional like a clean shirt and wearing that red vest doesn't look normal in a restaurant setting. It made no sense. No more plants. And whatever plants were left are dying. Place doesn't look cared for anymore. Food: the rolls were not good. They were way too heavy and not very tasty. Not enjoyable rolls. The onion slices on the salad were too thick and too much of them. Seems like no detail went in to the salad. Pasta and pizza were still good. But it's just not the same. I'm not saying don't go there, I would still go there if I wanted pasta. It's just changed through out the years. read more

We have been coming here for many years. I decided to come here for my birthday. Immensely disappointed. Saying the food was mediocre would be an understatement. The pasta had some weird water in it, the ravioli was slimy and tasteless and made my sister feel sick, and the pizza was so bland that I had to dump a bunch of salt on it just to make it taste better. Our waiter was not much better. He accidentally spilled my lemonade on my placemat. Okay no big deal. So I asked him if he could please get me an another mat. He gave me this very weird look and got another mat and placed it on the already soaking mat. So now I have two wet mats. He came to us too early before we were ready. But then when we were ready, he took so long that my mom had to go and get him. She asked for a plate for bread and he didn't get it. So she had to get a plate herself as well. Honestly I am disappointed how far this restaurant has fallen. 80 dollars for eating garbage this felt like. I should've got to Olive Garden. We are not returning. read more

Right off the bat, I'll say the food I bought here was great. But the guy behind the counter has a real bad attitude problem. I pointed out that the prices listed on their Yelp page was about half the actual price. The guy said it didn't matter, because the menu they used was from chi-chis pizza. When your restaurant is named Lido's, who cares where you food is from. The guy talked to me like I'm an idiot for bringing it up. What he could have done is just say it's a problem, we will try to fix. He then said going on Yelp was like going on the yellow pages, why should they even be concerned. The obvious answer is you have customers like me who see one price and then are charged double and we feel like we are being shafted. I don't know anything about running a restaurant. I do know something about customer service. If you only care about good food, this place is fine. If you care at all about being respected as a customer, don't bother with this restaurant. read more

Lido pizza is a Valley classic! I know it's been around for a long time but I only visited for the first time recently. When you walk inside, it's like a time warp! The red leather booths, low lighting...I LOVE me an old school italian joint. I loved that it seemed like this was THE neighborhood spot. Lots of families with kids..every booth was full on a Friday night. It was easy to order over the phone and pick up. There were spots available in the parking lot in the back. We ordered a veggie pizza with black olives, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. When we arrived, it wasn't quite ready but the staff was very friendly and gave us an accurate wait time. When the pizza came out, it was HOT! I was so excited to take it home and dive in. Again, the staff was so professional and friendly it felt as if I were a 20 year regular. The pizza was perfection. LOTS of cheese and toppings without it weighing down the pizza too much. Crust was on the thin side, but the edges had those delicious fluffy air pockets. I can't wait to come back here and eat inside to enjoy the atmosphere! They also had plastic dividers between booths for covid safety. FINALLY, the halloween decorations were on point. I've been here twice now. Once for an 80th birthday and mine - celebrated yesterday. Ambience is like old style Italy. Large comfy booths and tables down the middle to accommodate larger folks and/or parties. Their kitchen is super small yet efficient. They have a broad menu with a selection to meet anyone's dietary needs. They serve beer and wine, also. This location is on Victory Blvd. on the other side of Sepulveda. They are part of the family chain of restaurants Chi Chi's. Haven't had a bad meal (garden salad and Al forno lasagna) nor bad service here. Also, the staff is very stable which gives the establishment the family feel. It is my sincere desire that one day chicken parm will be on their menu. read more

Our family has been coming here for 20 years and although the prices have consistently gone up the service remains excellent as well as the food. We have always loved Lido's because it reminds us of the authentic Italian restaurants in New York City. I always feel at home here being originally from NY. Home made pastas, delicious pizza and salads are just a few items on the menu. They close at 8:30 pm as of now due to Covid so get there by 7:30pm the latest to eat a nice dinner without rushing. On a Tuesday evening it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. All employees including cooks wore masks. Once we were at our table we could take off our masks to eat. We sat in the back in one of their roomy red leather booths and enjoyed our family meal together. Lido's is kid friendly and can accommodate wheel chairs and strollers. We shared a family sized salad, medium pizza, lasagna and linguine with white clam sauce. Delicious!!!! read more

We love their food, but had a bad experience with the manager on Thursday night. My husband arrived at 9:05 to order a pizza to go and the manager refused saying they were closed. The cooks both said they would make the pizza but the manager again refused, however there were at least five tables with customers only halfway through their meals. The attitude of the manager will keep us from every eating there again. read more

The food was fine as usual. However this visit the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter seemed to be in a hurry and not paying much attention to us the entire meal. We asked specifically for the salad to be served before the pizza, and when the salad arrived, the pizza arrived almost immediately. We sent it back and they made another one...at least I think they did. No apology. Just that there had been a large take-out order. Strange excuse. We were one of maybe 5 occupied tables. We asked for some dressing to take home for the left-over salad. Got home and no dressing. The waiter just seemed disinterested in us the entire time. Lido Pizza Stopped in with a couple friends to 'try this place out' and I have to say I wasn't disappointed!! I ordered the meatball sandwich. Now, I've enjoyed these types of sandwiches in other places but Lidos Pizza seems to the meatballs fresh! The meatballs were delicious and cooked perfectly! On their own, they are a meal. Now add in the peppers, the sauce and cheese and the flavor keeps you wanting more! Every bite was just awesome! I haven't even talked about the bread yet. The bread was crisp in the right spots and soft in the right spots. The bread just brought the whole thing together. Literally and figuratively. I originally saw this place while I was watching the film "Booksmart". There's a scene with the restaurant at night in the background. Something told me I had to try this place. It was a subtle backdrop but it captivated me.I looked it up and found out the place was in Van Nuys outside LA! I looked it up on Yelp and saved it. Flash forward a couple years and I was working in Reseda not far from Van Nuys. I decided this was my opportunity and I didn't know when I would get back out here again. So I stopped in for lunch. The place is located in a very small strip mall next to a liquor store. You can also park in the rear and enter from the back door. I was expecting it to simply be a run-down pizza shop but I was surprised when I walked in that it was a full on Italian restaurant. Inside, the place feels a bit old and wise. The lighting is low and feels a bit like a dive bar. I loved it! The waitress immediately brought me a basket of piping hot bread and butter straight from the oven. After looking over the menu for a bit and wrestling with my decision I settled on the baked lasagna. I wanted a glass of red wine to round this off but I settled for water... this time. The lasagna was amazing, it tasted as though it was all made from scratch. With how good it was I was wishing it was a bit larger. It was a nice size though, I was just so into it. This is an excellent spot off the 405 in Van Nuys. If you find yourself in the area GO! If you live in the LA area, take the trip... thank me later. read more

Super busy! We got there before 5pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was already almost full. Steady stream of people arriving so go early unless you want to wait. Service was hit and miss as they were very busy and the servers were doing the best they could. We had the southern pasta combo, the Alfredo and a half immigrant, half mushroom sausage pizza. The lasagne was the best pasta we had in the combo, but we would definitely come back to try more. The pizza was very topping heavy (lots of cheese!) which is a bit different that we were used to but still good. Large portions so we had leftovers after. Would come back to try their Monday night special which looks like a good deal. read more
