No, just no. We were starving after driving 4 hours to Lake George for vacation. We wanted to eat by the lake, so we popped into the Lighthouse Grill. We almost left before we ever ordered as it took 25 minutes for a waitress to even come say hello to us. We ordered a cheeseburger, and a hummus wrap. The portions were large, but the food was luke warm, and flavorless. The worst French fries I've ever had. They were battered, cold, and mushy. While it may be a nice view of the lake, it left something to be desired. Also, did not appreciate how pushy the waitress was trying to get us to take one of their boat's around the lake. read more

My family and I went out to dinner for the last night of our vacation and we had this very judgmental waiter that was questioning my special needs daughter getting a child's meal, like I'm sorry do you wanna ID a 13 year-old?Then he was claiming the internet was down on the tablet so he couldn't put in our order but the next table over this guy paid with card on that same tablet not even two seconds after claiming he couldn't put in our order. I'm guessing he asked his manager if it was OK for my daughter to have that meal because when he came back the internet magically started working, and he said "I guess it's OK....". I'm trying to enjoy my meal and have conversation with my daughters and he's just standing in the corner looking at me. My daughters and I were very uncomfortable when he did that. When our food arrived, the portions were smaller than my daughter. I was so disappointed on the prices and the way our waiter acted was very judgmental. read more

The service was incredible! We were here 2 nights in a weekend because they were beyond accommodating to large parties and babies. Our server Regan and Jeremy went above and beyond as well as the manager. We can't thank them enough for the hospitality. This restaurant is gorgeous and perfectly located. We came here for the ability to sit outside and overlook the deck. The service was good. Bloody Mary's were good. The tacos were awful. Multiple people in my party ordered them. The meat had to have been pre cooked. The chicken was cut into tiny 1/4 inch cubes. There is no way it was cooked to order. It didn't look or taste fresh at all. They came out and were cold. Like the meat had been pulled from the fridge and placed directly into our taco, cold. I rarely complain but I did this time. First off my wife seasonal salad was amazing. I on the other hand had the fried chicken sandwich which was sooooo fried it was barely even chicken anymore. There was a sauce that came with it. It was the hottest sauce that I've ever had in my life, our waiter didn't even tell me?? He was training but the person with him training him didn't mention the fact that the sauce was very very hot. I was looking forward to a nice Memorial Day lunch date with a view as this is one of the restaurants "highlights". I went in and requested a table on the top deck with some shade and was denied by the hostess, because "the table was not on the server rotation" and I asked what's more important the customer or the server rotation and she replied "the server's rotation", at that point I asked for the manager and surprise, surprise...she was no help either she also denied me the table because "it would throw off the rotation" and offered me a table in the sun away from the shade and not the one I requested and wouldn't budge, so at that point I asked her, you would rather inconvenient the CUSTOMER which is trying to spend MONEY, than her rotation and she said yes it would be an inconvenience. At that point I decided to leave and not waste my time anymore and would not let these lazy people ruin my day. Instead I went to the "Lookout Bar Grill" where the restaurant is not as "fancy" but they did provide a better service, got the table I requested and the food was very good. Nothing but good things to say about this place. We were up in Lake George for the 4th of July and decided to have dinner at the lighthouse Grill. This restaurant has a great location with a beautiful view of Lake George and was absolutely slammed for dinner during the fourth. With it being so busy, the overall quality did not suffer. The food was great, and everyone from the host station to the bartender to our waitress was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend! read more

Great location along the water downtown Lake George village that has a wide variety of food and drinks including vegan options. It was really nice that even on the 4th of July we could walk up and be seated quickly. This large restaurant has a ton of seating inside and out. There is a lot of great spots to dine and view Lake George along their newly renovated deck and interior. The bar combines light colors and scenic views to make you feels as though you are at a big beach bar. I believe it was one of the owners, Katie Carson, running the host stand when we arrived. I was almost certain this was the restaurant recently advertising its renovations and menu including vegan options on the 518 Vegan Facebook Group page. I wanted to make sure since it was a holiday those options were available and was told they had some kitchen staff call off of work so they had a limited menu which still included vegan options. We were seated promptly and a server came over to take our drink order. The server was very friendly and when we received our food we noticed the vegan cheese was missing from the vegan cheeseburger. She ran down to the kitchen and explained the staff missed it and sent their apologies. It was totally fine, being understaffed on a holiday is a rough situation to be in, no worries! The food was great BUT... after eating we tour an hour tour on the Horicon, a boat that docks just down from the restaurant. We bot only paid full price for our meal, we paid full price for the cruise... what I mean is if you know ahead of time. You can get a discounted meal after the cruise or you can get a discounted cruise with your meal receipt. Oops! I don't know if they always run this offer but it's worth asking if you are going to do either the cruise or eat at the restaurant. We enjoyed everything at the Lighthouse and as long as they keep the vegan menu options, the Lighthouse will be our go to and highest recommendation for vegan diners at Lake George! read more

First visit. Place is nicely decorated. Seating was a bit of a rigamarol. They wanted to put us up top on the deck. Not much of a view of the lake etc. seems like they were trying to space out the servers so I get it but maybe figure out a different way to do it. They kept trying to put people up there and no one seemed happy about it. Felt bad for the hostess. Good was pretty good. Service was 100. Ivan. Bloody Mary was tomato juice and vodka ): Kids chicken fingers looked amazing but had zero salt in the breading. Seems like they have an aversion to seasoning. From the surface, this appears to be a most idilic spot to grab a bite to eat. From adjacent free parking, to being right on the water, a big space of both mixed in and out door seating, this place has everything to be a success... except the food. Granted we came before the start of the peak season, but it's Memorial Day weekend so things should be opening up and ready for the rush. This place still had. Bare bones menu, and seems to want to nickel and dime you to make money rather than building with quality for which they could just charge more. Turkey wrap - turkey was dry and bacon non existent. Oh and the slice of cheese was an extra $0.50 (up charge wasn't mentioned when I was asked if I wanted cheese). Short rib meal - looks like a hunk of meatloaf in sauce. Lacks flavoring so ask for hot sauce, only a few dollars up charge. Mac and Cheese plate - never seen it done with rigatoni before but I can see how that fills a bowl... the cheese flavor and sauce just were off. All in all, if you're going for a drink only (and don't mind overpaying for what you get - seriously iced down drinks) this place would work. Otherwise, you're better off at the hole in the wall places around the corner. Oh, one thing they did nail is the crispy fries. Superb location on Lake George. You can watch all the ferries in and out since this is right on the dock. Also the fun paddle steamers going by and all the excitement of being on this beautiful lake. Service is top notch and so is the food. We didn't have a reservation, but we're able to sit outside at the bar area with no problem. This place is so pretty! Had amazing views of the lake. Went on a busy Saturday for early dinner, we called ahead for seating but we were running late so we lost our table. The hostess was very helpful and told us to sit at the bar to wait. We ordered a drink but we didn't wait too long to be seated at our table. That night, there was live music so it was nice to have dinner and music. Out server was very nice and happy to help and all the staff were just nice and very polite. Now for the food, to start we ordered the NE clam chowder which was so good! It's one of my favorite soups and I was satisfied with it. For the table, we ordered the calamari and the Thai chili pork wings (this was a delicious dish and not spicy, definitely get this!) For main dish I ordered the seared halibut which was fresh and flavorful. And for drink I ordered the raspberry aperol spritz. Food was great, service was good and place is really nice. They do have an indoor sitting and bar area. Recommend this place. Make reservations in advance if possible. read more

This place is great! A wonderful view of Lake George. We sat at our table right away and service was very attentive. We shared the fried artichoke appetizer and chicken wings. They have a lot of vegan options which is great for the area! Both appetizers were delicious, crispy and hot. We each got a strip steak for dinner. They were very yummy. One downfall is we asked for medium rare and the steak was medium/medium well. They were still juicy, at least! We tried a variety of their cocktails; the lake breeze, blood orange mojito and margaritas. All were delicious!
