I wanted something quick and relatively cheap to eat with outdoor seating, so I picked Lil' Simmzy's. It was just ok pretty much all the way around. You order at the counter. There's no real restaurant to speak of, it's more of a kiosk with a kitchen and an extended outdoor deck. So no bathroom. I ordered a couple of tacos and a lemonade. The lemonade was the best item I had. It was nice and sour, which I like. I was not a fan of the Oak Grilled Shrimp Taco. It just tasted like charcoal. The fish taco was alright, but nothing to write home about. The whole operation is pretty bare bones. Also, it was just filled with kids and families everywhere, so it was really loud, even outside. I did like that they had outdoor heaters though. Staff was friendly as well. Just did not hit the mark for me, unfortunately.

    Cesar salad with chicken breast

Really cool spot in the center of The Point open-air mall adjacent to Manhattan Beach. The young lady taking my order told me that they are known for their burgers, but I decided to eat healthier and tried their Cesar salad and added chicken breast as my protein. The ingredients in the salad were super fresh, delicious and I loved how the anchovies tasted in the salad. The salad came tossed in their cesar dressing and it was very yummy and hit all the right flavor notes of a true, gourmet cesar salad. The chicken breast was beautifully placed on top of the salad. The chicken was grilled, but it was on the drier side. I enjoy a juicier bird. But after dipping the chicken pieces into the cesar dressing, it did the trick. As I was eating my Cesar salad, a waitress passed by with the nicest and juiciest burgers I've seen in a while. Next time, I will spoil myself with one of their fine burgers! The spot itself has outside seating only, but the seating was very comfortable and the place is a great opportunity to people watch. The customer service was professional, attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back again!

The food here was super disappointing! My chimichanga was still frozen in the middle and the burgers were very lackluster. They were out of many ingredients and everything was just made extremely sloppy. For our party at four everything came out at different times, unfortunate that the kids food came out last. Very underwhelming, far too pricey for the quality served. Unfortunately, not worth returning.

This place is located in the middle of The Point. There are other restaurants nearby. This place is all outdoors with heaters. The problem is you would have to find a place secure seat before you order your food. Otherwise, you will not get a chair, especially when it's busy. The negative side of this restaurant is that they don't have an extensive selection of beers of mainly dark beers that's what I'm looking for. Most of the beers are IPAs or ales. They have good sandwiches, but I've got to try and taste mine yet. If they had a better selection of drinks, I would've given it five stars. They do have hard liquor. They don't serve martinis, which is unfortunate because that's my favorite drink.

Perfect Weekend Spot for Families and Sunshine This is such a fun place to bring the family, especially on a sunny weekend. The Point has a great open promenade feel, with turf in the middle where kids can run around, kick a soccer ball, and stay entertained with small activities... while the grown-ups relax nearby. This restaurant is right in the center of it all. It's a little shack with a huge outdoor patio, and it's perfect for grabbing a pitcher of beer and some casual bites. We usually go early afternoon on weekends and treat it like a picnic: nachos, the taco combo (the fish tacos are especially good), and plenty of kid-friendly options. The staff is always super friendly. It can get packed depending on the weekend, but if you're okay grabbing a spot on the lawn, there's always room to enjoy. Plus, there are lots of retail shops nearby and an ice cream spot around the corner to wrap things up. Highly recommend on a warm summer day. It's relaxed, lively, and a great family outing.

This is a great spot to have lunch while shopping. Situated in the center of the shopping plaza with nice and airy outdoor seating. We placed our order and found a seat after the guy behind the counter poured me a winter ale from Smog City. There is a good choice of cocktails and craft brews. I opted for the Simmzy burger med rare with a side salad. The burger tasted great, although be prepared for a two handed grip, as it is pretty thick and the juices will be running down your arms! I was very disappointed with the salad, as some of the greens were rotten. I'd still come back to try other menu items.

The location centered in the middle of an outdoor fine shopping area makes Simmzys a fun place to spend time outdoors while watching the kids play in the adjacent playground. Their chicken wings are worth the wait and I love all the burgers and crispy golden fries. There's a great selection of salads as well. Fresh brewed iced tea for the win.

For food we only had chips w guac and a caesar salad which was pretty good. For the price of the guac and chips I thought it would've been a bigger portion but it only came in a side dressing container. I also which they would offer brick oven pizzas like their other locations be unfortunately they don't. As for drinks we love the margaritas here, it's located in the middle of the point (all outdoor seating) but I definitely think it's a nice spot if you want low-key hang out spot to lay back and chill.

Lil Simmzys is a beach bar in the city in the middle of a shopping mall. There's no inside seating only outside with a cool chill vibe. They have burgers, plenty of appetizers, drinks and more. To place your order you just walk up to the bar area then have a seat and they will bring your food to your table. I came by on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It was not too crowded. I ordered a Korean chicken sandwich with mixed greens and chips with guacamole and salsa. The food was ready super fast and it was delicious. There's plenty of parking and the restrooms just around the way.

The corn was burnt and the Kids Quesadilla (despite being recommended by the staff) was hard and inedible

As a big fan of Simmzy's Manhattan Beach and Venice (RIP), I was excited to try this even more casual version on my recent stop at The Point. I usually go to a quick bite at Mendo while I'm here but thought it would be nice to stay a while and try out Lil Simmzys. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment, especially the quality of the food and the lacking customer service. We ordered several tacos plus the elote style grilled corn on the cob. The corn was very burnt and the tacos were fine. But the problem really was with the kids meal I ordered for my child. You order at the counter and I asked the worker their recommendation and was told the quesadilla would be easier to eat for my child rather than a burger. When it arrived the quesadilla was almost inedible, it was very hard to chew and dry, not possible for my kid to eat. As an adult I could barely chew it as well. I brought this to the worker's attention and said I wanted a kids burger instead and they not only didn't offer to replace the inedible quesadilla but then said I would not be able to pay for just a new kids burger. They said I would have to buy a whole new kids meal (with another drink and fries) for $10.99 (plus tax and tip) because they don't sell the kids burger by itself. I didn't want my kid to starve so I just bought it, and then when it arrived the burger meat was extremely dry and not tasty at all. It was not the usual good quality you would find at a regular Simmzys location. This was a huge waste of money and I really regret coming here. My kid ended up only being able to eat some of the fries. The crazy thing is that we you order your food at the counter, they ask you to leave a default tip of 18 / 20 / 22% before you get your food. It's wild they ask for this much tip when they clearly don't provide good service here on top of the terrible food quality.

Lil' Simmzy's got a lil' somethin' goin' on. A perfect place to chill before your dinner reservations, playing sports channels and offering great brews. Unable to select from all the options, the tender offered samples of all drinks I had interest in. Settling for the Sabre-Tooth Squirrel guest brew was a great choice! Get it before it's out of rotation: just a bit hoppy with a great finish. The vibes are immaculate, the service is great, and the beer was delicious. What more can you ask for?

Birthday Flan: Creamy, custardy, and not too sweet. Honestly, there were no misses here. Everything was tasty, flavorful, and nothing was too dry. The prices were also good and not too overpriced for Mexican food considering the area. The service here was pretty good and efficient. Parking is metered parking. The food here was not mind-blowing and I would still opt for other places though. However, it is a solid pick for a restaurant and Mexican food in Manhattan Beach.

Definitely one of the smallest burritos I have ever had. The flavor was good, actually very good, and the sauce was solid. Unfortunately that was also portioned light, with the container only about half full. No chips with the burritos, and they were $10.50 each, which was higher than the listed online price. Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.
