Solid 4 stars.... loved the outdoor seating where you can people watch and enjoy the sun. Food came fast, the beer selection is not as big as I thought it was going to be but the beer I had was very good. You have to order at the counter and then the food gets to your table. Late lunch on a Thursday right after Christmas. Parking was pretty full, which made me concerned about how busy it would be, but we had no issues. Strolled up to the counter onto order and the manager helped us. Ordered some chips & guac, the Thai wings, and my wife got the patty melt while I got the blue cheese & bacon burger. This place is quite unique surrounded by shops and sweets. The food is fresh and simple but unique. I get a delicious salad with SUCCULENT and perfectly cooked shrimp. Came in for lunch with the gang today and was pleasantly surprised when the food came in. The "Craft Shack Burger" was well presented and tasted really good. I would definitely come back for another. Did think the size of the burger was a bit on the small side, but I would rather have a smaller, tastier burger than a monstrous burger with nothing going for it. Maybe next time I'll order two so I can have quality and quantity! I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Craft Shack ever since I heard it would be opening up at The Point. I've been a fan of all the places at The Point and just had a feeling this would be another place that would further my foodie fandom of The Point. Within a week of opening, I visited Craft Shack. I found it a very cute place right from the start. The colorful umbrellas, eccentric seating just spelled uniqueness all over and made this place quite distinct. Because they had just opened, the place still did have some minor kinks to iron out the day I went. One the particular day, they did not have sandwich buns. The delivery was running late and so for any customers wanting a burger or chicken sandwich that day, they'd have to wait another 30 minutes till the delivery of the buns came. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise because it made picking from their menu a bit easier. I was originally torn between getting their Craft Shack Burger, Grilled Chicken Sandwich or their Cheesy Nacho Fries. I ended up getting the Cheesy Nacho Fries with Ground Beef ($10.00) and ended up pleasantly surprised with the large portion. I got a bowl full of shoestring fries, nacho cheese sauce, chile de arbol sauce, sour cream, cilantro, pico de gallo that was topped with a fair amount of ground beef. It's definitely a portion worth sharing or for splitting between meals. Tastewise, it was full of flavor. The nacho cheese sauce was a little salty but was offset with the chile de arbor sauce and sour cream. There was also a bit of spice thanks to a spread of jalapeños in the dish. Overall I did enjoy my visit to this new place. It is a nice addition to The Point. The outdoor venue was cool and relaxing and I truly enjoyed a quiet, beautiful day while eating some delicious fries. I want to try their chicken sandwich or Craft Shack burger next time. read more

My friend recommended this place and decided to check it out, it was both of our first time. I love this new shopping center! Plenty of parking, cool shops, good restaurants, and many other things. Craft Shack in located in the middle of the shopping center. We almost missed it but because I had checked out prior to coming I recognized it by the colorful tables and chairs. The menu is short with great options. My friend and I both ordered the craft shack burger each. It's more of a classic/traditional burger. We also ordered poke tacos and nacho fries to share. They also offer wine, beer, and I believe they have hard liquor. My friend and I split the bill and it was 35 each. ( I thought it was a bit pricey). I'm a person of habits when it comes to LA neighborhoods. Once I discover a neighborhood I'll explore and will try every restaurant I possibly can). El Segundo isn't really on my map, so when my friend stayed in El Segundo and suggested lunch I was initially not over the moon but being the good friend I think I am, I drove to El Segundo. Around noon traffic was absolutely fine, so that already put me in a good mood. I arrived at this great modern outdoor shopping-dining experience called The Point. It's an experience. Tons of restaurants, it's all so super clean and well-maintained. You won't find the Gap nor Banana Republic here. I think the shops are a little more exclusive, high quality. The restaurants seem very reasonably priced. We ended up at "Lil' Simmzy's" on the deck. Right across from the fountain which already makes for a nice view. And, indeed, its outdoor seating is on the deck. Brightly colored chairs, fun striped umbrellas, and 2 huge blue Italian umbrellas make this a place where you just want to sit with your friends, chat and share food. I would already come back for those ridiculously tasty fries: a bit of melted blue cheese and garlic (without it being too garlicky.... I heard you thinking "garlic?!"). Delicious. Not too greasy, not too rich and no garlic after taste. The tacos are small and 2 is probably a good amount. I chose the shrimp and poke (with super cute finely diced pineapple!). All so fresh. And let's not forget drinks. Obviously beer.... plenty of choice. I chose a white sangria on prosecco base, unfortunately I had to drive otherwise I could've had at least 2 of those. I think it's called Sunburst which is a great name for a summer drink. Staff is fast and friendly: in my book a winning combination. Manager Maureen came over to ask if everything was ok. Wow, first time eating here today and it will not be the last! First off, I had no idea it even existed. But low and behold, Lil' Simmzys has seriously won my heart over. I ordered the poke tacos (they sell them for $6 individually and I ordered two, which was plenty of food) and they were jam-packed with flavor. My mother ordered the apple walnut salad and she was thoroughly impressed as well. She said it was just the right mix of flavors and she was pleased that instead of just plopping all of the toppings on top of the salad and leaving all the greens at the bottom, everything was perfectly stirred and proportional. I also had a glass of rose which was refreshing and mama and I both got a side of the grilled corn. For $2 a piece for the corn it was so worth it!!! For the salad, two tacos, two corns and the glass of rose our bill was a mere $41 bucks; SOLD. The grilled shrimp had great smoky flavor which offset the bright flavors present in the rest of the salad. Would definitely order again. I managed to snag a bite of hubs' wings, also very good. Sweet and tangy with the perfect amount of spice! Wings were good size, definitely a three to four bite wing, he was pleased. The kids burger meal looked delicious and luckily our little guy was sweet enough to share a bite with the both of us. Considering that his burger was only topped with ketchup and a slice of cheese it was amazing. Burger patty was perfectly seasoned and the bun was perfectly crisped around the edges. LOVE this place. The cauliflower taco is LEGIT. And I'm normally a carne asada girl, but the cauliflower taco has the best combo of flavors ever. And the tortilla is perfection.
