Li'l Woody's is a great burger place in Capitol Hill. It features some unique burgers. I ordered something called the Pendelton and some onion rings. The Pendelton comes with BBW sauce, Tillamok Cheddar, and an onion ring (also mayo which was not on the menu, but thankfully just on one bun so it was easy to scrape off). It is a large 1/4 burger and cooked perfectly. The cheese was great and the bun worked perfect. Then all the onion rings were very good and it was a really good portion. It takes a while to get the burger, but worth getting it fresh. I will definitely be back. read more

Pretty decent burger place! Ordered for pick up and when we got there (10-15 minutes after we ordered) the guy behind the counter said that the ticket just printed. I enjoy grabbing take out from Lil Woody's. They have limited seating for 1-2 people on the first floor, with a few larger tables up some steep stairs in the back. It gets unbearably hot in the summer - if it is over 90 degrees, call ahead. They may have closed for the health and safety of the employees. You can order and pay ahead of time on their website, which is quick and easy. However, they have been hit particularly hard by pandemic service issues, so that predicted 15 min might stretch to 20 or even 30 min. They text you when your order is ready! Lil Woody's is my favorite burger place in Seattle because of the unique burgers and burger-adjacent items they serve. They always have a special burger if the week, which you can see in their website. They often have burgers designed by local chefs, which could be a fillet of fish prepared with special spices, a Tejano treasure, or a Filipino pork adobo sandwich. If the special is sold out I usually get the Trotter, a burger with chopped apples, bacon, and horseradish. You can customize to get jalapeños, eggs and peanut butter on your burger if you want. They won't judge! They serve hand-cut fries. If you eat in you can hear the loud thump as the potatoes get chopped up. The fries are soft, NOT crispy, which some people love and some people hate. YMMV. I recommend the Shake and Fries, which comes with a cup of shake to dunk your fries in. If you are staying a little healthier the fry sauce is good but $0.50 per cup. I also like the onion rings. Lil Woody's has bottles of beer as well as soft drinks. If you are the kind of person who has always secretly wished for 6 kinds of indie root beer to choose from, Lil Woody's will let you cross that off your bucket list! read more

Had the pleasure of finding them in Sea-Tac airport last Saturday while waiting for our connecting flight home. I have previously been a rabid In-N-Out fan, but Lil' Woody's blows them away. Love the fact that they use Tillamook cheese on the burgers. No nasty American cheese here! And Tillamook ice cream for their shakes. We ordered 3 Big Woody's and a basket of fries. The fries by themselves were ok, but the horseradish sauce and the rooster sauce made them great. Also good prices for being in the airport. All I can say, is we need one in Spokane now! read more

I'll start this off by saying that I'm typically not a burger person. However, this place is something different. First of all, the price point is great and super reasonable for the quality of the product. Their burgers are a little bit messy, and their buns aren't super toasty, but the patties are great, and the toppings that they offer are fantastic. My go-to now is The Trotter, with apples and bacon, caramelized onions, and horseradish sauce. I also like to add fig jam as an extra sometimes if I'm feeling like a little treat. Absolutely worth the $1, and they really slather it on there. They're not stingy about their topics. They lose a star because their fries are the saddest, soggiest fries I have ever seen or eaten. If you do not have an air fryer in order to fix these fries yourself, don't bother. But really, I don't want to be ordering fries from a restaurant so that I can cook them a second time at home. Their fries taste and feel like they are just gently boiled in oil. Not fried. No thanks! Their milkshakes are tasty. Their selection of sodas is on point. Service is quick. read more

Good local burger place with multiple locations and different weekly specials my favorite burger is the big woody add bacon and bbq sauce the fries can be a hit or miss depending on the freshness that's my only complaint is they cook large batches like Dick's drive in. Flavor was good. I ordered The Trotter for the apple. I didn't taste any apple. It was an overpriced bacon burger. The fries are horrible. Skinny and so greasy they needed to be wrung out. I am staying in the Hyatt Regency which has very few casual food options. I ordered through Door Dash and food arrived mostly warm. I ordered the larger burger with the veggies on it and added an extra slice of tomato. I requested no onions, but they added them anyway. Thankfully, the onions did not overpower the burger. Everything on the burger was delicious except the burger itself. It was dry, chewy and very thin. The extra tomato slice helped. I also ordered the fries and queso. Fries come pre-seasoned, and the queso was way over-seasoned, so I didn't enjoy it. It was all just too salty. The hand-cut fries on their own were really good, and you get a large portion. Ordered a coffee almond fudge shake. Tasted like there was a hint of the queso spice in it but maybe it was just because the fries and queso were over seasoned. This place would've earned four stars if the burger hadn't been so dry and overcooked (although it wasn't at all hot, just barely warm). DD isn't to blame. The restaurant and my hotel are less than 5 minutes' drive away. I wouldn't recommend this place for takeout. Maybe it's better in person where you can actually ask them to remake your burger if you get a chewy, dry patty like I did. read more

Currently my favorite burger spot in Seattle. The meat was juicy, the flavors tasty, and they have the option to make it protein style like they do at in n out back home for me. And they don't skimp out in the lettuce!!! Almost literally in-between 2 wedges of icebrug lettuce. I did a to go order and it was ready immediately. Move over 5 guys!! Lil woody is here!! This is a great place to grab lunch! It's in a co op space with a pizza place that was closed T the time of my visit. I actually went in for pizza and came out with a burger and fries. It's a very spacious spot. Lots of tables and chairs and bar seating near the window. They bring your food out to you after you order. The also still do a lot of takeout, but I suggest you stick around to eat it. The fries are homemade and fresh cooked to order so they are perfectly hot and salty and crispy. Takes a bit, but you know you're getting fresh never frozen food. The burger was hot and fresh. Cheese perfectly melted on that juicy medium well burger with chopped onions and sauces. It's definitely a burger for the greasy spoon lovers. It's very close in taste to 5 guys minus the puddle of grease left behind by the burger and fries. I definitely suggest a visit for lunch or after 1pm. It's kinda dead after the lunch rush and pre dinner and you can have your pick of seats. I like to sit in the window and watch people and traffic as I wait. The service is great. Very friendly and informative. She made great suggestions and gave me the real low down on her favorites. We settled for the lil woody and two sides of fries and a drink. Although the staff was very friendly & the atmosphere inside was great (and very clean), the quality of the burgers were significantly different here. We each had a pool of grease, and the burgers seemed significantly more oily than the ones we had at the other location. I definitely would avoid coming to this location in the future (even though it's more convenient), solely for that reason - but I don't know if we were just unlucky or came on an off day! Li'l Woody's on the other hand does an awesome job serving up delicious classic burgers, hand cut fries, awesome dipping sauces, and monthly/weekly specials that keep you coming back. My favorite time of year is when they do the rotating fast food month of dupe burgers. The Woody's Baconator (Wendys), Sourdough Woody (Jack in the Box), Li'l Big Mac (Mcdonalds), Li'l Crunch Wrap (Taco Bell) - all fantastic in their own way. We came here after a recommendation from someone on the hotel staff and it was a nice, hole-in-the-wall type of place. The food was pretty decent but nothing that wowed me. My husband got a lil woody burger with an egg added to it and it was good but he claimed there was too much ketchup (although I love ketchup and thought that it added a nice sweetness to the burger). The queso was pretty good - more of a chili queso in my opinion but still good. The fries themselves were average and good to have as a side but I didn't finish the appetizer size of them and probably would've taken a long time to try. This is a small space with only a couple tables on the first floor that can only hold up to three people. The upstairs has some more tables but not a lot. I ordered the Big Woody ($8.50) with a side of hand cut fries ($3). The burger was simple but solid and the bacon is definitely worth the extra cost. The fries were really greasy and just full of oil. They were really hot which is good that they're fresh but it just soaked into the parchment paper. Also, if you're with someone I'd suggest sharing a side of fries because it's a lot of fries and I barely finished it all. It would be perfect if the fries were less greasy and more crispy. I was so excited to try a burger made with good quality meat, but this burger didn't live up to the hype. The bun was incredibly soggy, the condiments were tasteless and dry, and there was so much oil on the food. I read reviews and am truly baffled after my experience. My husband agrees and he's not picky at all when it comes to meat. I had acid reflux after taking a bite. The burger is dry, so it's a weird texture between the super oily toppings and the extremely dry patty. Also, this is not a restaurant. There are few tables but the chairs are metal. We didn't want to go to the location so we opted for Ubereats delivery bc we had a $20 off discount. Let me start off with the service, it was quick and on point. The ambience was a little hectic and loud due to people waiting on their food. I was able to find a place to sit and wait for my order. I ordered the Big Woody with a side of fries. Very disappointed, I could have gotten better burger at Burger King. I'm not sure what the big hype is about this place.
