They're SOOO delicious: moist and chewy with mind blowingly good vanilla ice cream. This is extra special for me because I absolutely love Abbot's Pizza. I mean, what's not to love: their pizza is as good as it comes, and the prices aren't stratospheric, unlike much of what you find on Abbot Kinney. The staff has always been great to me. Not sure why this place stays so busy, food was edible. I ordered two slices, the mushroom and the Greek, and a Caesar salad. Slices were bland and tasted as if they had been sitting out for far too long. Salad was unremarkable the Caesar dressing wasn't Caesar-ing. And on top of all of that, the price tag was pretty heavy for the lesson to never return. Heed my warning, go far far away. read more

Honestly, I've been going here since 2013 and I always get pizzas! Each and every one of them are good but my favorite is always the Popeyes chicken pizza with salad on top. Don't sleep on this! This place is aggressively ok. The selection of pies is nice. I got three different veggie options. They were all too heavy on the Parmesan. They were also lukewarm despite an oven blast - that made the feta on The Greek a little tough. The Four (I think) was soggy due to the veggies. I don't think they have a plain cheese. The menu makes all of the vegetarian options sound pretty similar to each other. With hotter ovens, they'd approach a 4. Simplify the menu and work on the fundamentals. read more

Their pizza had no tomato sauce, which is the first time I have experienced this in my life. Paid $34 for a pizza they didn't offer to remake or allow even a slice to correct the matter. Two words: salad pizza. Now, I love veggies on my pizza, but this takes things to a whole new level. Their yummy, almost bagel-like crust piled high with tons of greens and avocado would be my #1 end-of-a-night-out snack. It might not be the greasy, cheesy slice that my drunk self wants, but two wrongs (booze and greasy pizza) don't make a right and this is just as good. Better, even! Buy a whole pizza or by the slice (my preferred method). The shop itself is tiny and seating it very limited, so I'd take my 'za to go and head home or down to the beach. They do deliver via their website, but only full pizzas and not by the slice. Definitely a good spot to take out of towners as Abbot's is right in the heart of Abbot Kinney, so you can do some window shopping while burning off your pizza (unless, of course, you ordered the salad pizza because veggies cancel carbs, right?). read more

Very crispy crust!! So good! One of my new favorite pizza joints in LA! Walking by this restaurant you wouldn't have a clue about how delicious their pizza is. Thankful to have found them on Yelp. I don't eat meat and also refrain from dairy as much as possible. I ordered the Salad Pizza and it was so delicious. I highly recommend ordering it if you are vegan or vegetarian. I came to Abbot's Pizza strictly for the salad pizza I kept seeing everywhere! It is a tiny shop with a few chairs so I would recommend to just get your food to-go. We got a slice of the salad pizza and a couple others. The salad pizza was unique and I've never seen any other place have one of these but it was a little bit lacking in flavor. It just didn't seem to go well. I would be impressed if they could pull this combination off but not so sure about that.. The other pizza slices were okay, it just tasted like ordinary pizza. My family loves ordering from here because we can get a healthy gluten free salad pizza as well as some huge slices of yummy pizza with bagel crust. My daughter who is 14 says it's the best pizza too because it is the only time she devours her crust. My boyfriend is a chef and we recently tried their new strawberry custard dessert pizza and WOW! It was mouth watering amazing. I ordered mine gluten free and he had regular dough and we both went back for another slice each! I've read reviews about the pricing but the pizza quality here is well worth it and is the only place you can eat and feel full on Abbott Kinney for under $10. I also just really like visiting the family friendly & locally owned environment where they remember my name and ask how I've been. I mean, it's pizza. The slice was huge and couldn't really figure out how to eat it except for tearing off pieces from the center. Pizza dough was just some bread wasn't particularly crispy or have crackly bubbles or chewy pull. Sauce was alright. I ate half of it and walked passed Gjusta, saw a man eating a slice of pizza I wish I had instead, bubbly crispy cooked crust that you can fold with one hand. Abbotts pizza has gone downhill this is like the 7 th time their pizza was soggy and under cooked. Too much cheese and no sauce. It was absolutely horrible made me sick to my stomach. their chef obviously doesnt want to cook the pizza all the way. I refuse to go back ever again. I waited outside the store to order a pizza for 45 minutes on a long line, only to be told when I got to the front of the line that they weren't making any more pizzas. After hearing from several friends that Abbot's has the definitive best slice in Venice, I was eager to give this place a try. In short, my friends were wrong. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I wanted to try Abbot's at their best. I decided to wait until there was a fresh pie, so I could try it right out of the oven. The girl at the counter was kind in reserving me a piece of the new pie. When the pizza arrived, it looked almost as good as advertised. Yet, my first bite was met with immediate disappointment. My first thought was that there was a lot of grease. I know some people will say the grease is the best part - a la Along Came Polly. However, this was really an exorbitant amount. I mean the layer of grease was probably thicker than the layer of sauce. What I noticed on the next bite, was that the pizza was pretty limp. There was a thin layer of bread, but it was relatively soggy. I'm not sure if this was because of the grease, or because it was undercooked, or perhaps a little bit of both. Either way soggy, limp, greasy pizza is not the best. It's unfortunate because the people working here seemed generally nice and I was eager to hop aboard the abbot's bandwagon. Yet in spite of what I had heard, this is not the best pizza in Venice - not even close. See you at GTA. read more

This is the perfect spot for a slice. They have every delicious flavor you can imagine and it comes out hot and quick. Downside, the place is small and does get hot inside, but worth it for the pizza. The crust is so unique and has such great seasoning, like a bagel crust. I wish we had this spot closer to us and not just on the West Side, but it's def a place to visit when I'm over there. read more

I love the generous toppings, and the different types of pizzas. My absolute favorite is the garlic chicken "Popeye's" and Salad pizza. They sell pizzas by the slice. And everyone's right, the bagel crust is soo good! Next time, maybe I will venture outside of my comfort zone and try a different pizza. I have my eye on the Gypsy or Curry Chicken. We stopped by this place during a recent visit to the Santa Monica/Venice area. When searching Yelp for recommendations, I was intrigued about this place that sold bagel crust pizza so we stopped in for a bite. We ordered one of their vegetarian slices and ate it in store. The topping/sauce combination tasted great but by the time we were halfway through the slice, it was already cold and the dough was difficult to chew. Not much seating in store.
