Place was quaint and food was authentic. Wait staff was friendly. We ordered several desserts and they brought them out on a huge platter. Super cute! We'll definitely be back!

10 stars! Absolutely delicious food. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures, but we tried the ceviche, the pasta lomo saltado, and the regular lomo saltado -- everything was amazing. One thing I really loved was the portion sizes. You definitely get a lot for your money, and the flavors were incredible. The music and atmosphere were also so good and made the whole experience even better. I also couldn't be more impressed with Cesar, our waiter. He did an amazing job and truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a great experience -- we will definitely be back!

This is our first time at Lima Tavern, and it won't be the last. We found it through the AAdvantage Dining Program, and we can't be any happier. If you like authentic Peruvian cuisine, don't miss it. The food was excellent! We started with the Papas a la Huancaina, a classic, five stars. I ordered the Tallarines Verdes con Asado (Peruvian Pesto Noodles with Steak), and it was delicious. César, our server, told us that it takes time because everything is prepared fresh, so the wait was super worth it. My wife ordered a Quinoa Salad with Chicken; she really liked it. We didn't know quinoa originated in Peru, but now we do. Cesar was always attentive and often came to our table to ensure we had everything. Overall, we had a great time, and we hope to return soon to try the ceviche and many other dishes.

Peruvian donuts are spectacular. The sauce makes them.

Had lunch at Lima Taverna and it was fantastic!!! The service and food were perfect. I had Lomo Saltado, ceviche and Peruvian donuts for dessert. I don't usually eat that much but everything was just delicious. Very highly recommend!

Maracuya Juice was so good and refreshing

The food was amazing from start to finish. That ceviche Mixto was so good. That sweet potato added another dimension to it. The Arroz con Mariscos was a flavor bomb,. The rice was creamy, seafood tender and presentation was on point. The dessert was great, not too sweet and was light. I will definitely cone back when in the area again Service was 10 out of 10. The staff was attentive and the owner helped me decide on the food. He did not steer me wrong. The place was nice and clean as well and was very welcoming. Felt like i was at my family's place and having a great meal

Great little Peruvian restaurant. Service was great, and food was pretty good. They have live music on Saturday evening.

Taverna Lima delivers a feast for the senses--where Peruvian tradition meets artistic presentation and unforgettable flavor. From the moment the plate arrives, it's clear that Taverna Lima isn't just serving food, it's telling a story. The dish in the photo, a stunning rendition of Lomo Saltado, is a masterclass in culinary elegance. The beef is tender and richly coated in a savory, soy-infused sauce that clings lovingly to sautéed red onions and sweet peppers, creating a harmony of textures and flavors. Thick-cut potato wedges add a golden crispness, while the molded white rice stands tall like a proud monument to tradition, crowned with a delicate purple orchid that whispers of Lima's floral soul. What sets this experience apart is the attention to detail. The plating is not just beautiful, it's poetic. Every element feels intentional, from the vibrant color palette to the balance of textures. It's a dish that honors Peru's multicultural culinary heritage, blending Chinese stir-fry technique with Andean ingredients in a way that feels both authentic and elevated. The ambiance at Taverna Lima matches the plate's sophistication. Nestled in Plano, this gem offers a warm, vibrant atmosphere with live music and heartfelt hospitality. The staff treats you like family, and the menu is a celebration of Peru's rich flavors--from ceviche to maracuyá drink, each item crafted with imported ingredients that preserve the soul of the cuisine.

Just a wonderful dining experience! The steak was so tender and full of flavor! The civiche was one of a kind! Definitely a must try again!

This is a nice little Peruvian restaurant tucked away in the back of a strip. The menu had a good selection of dishes including ceviche, cuts of steak and seafood. The Lomo Saltado I ordered was good. Meat was tender. Cooked in an oriental style sauce almost like a kung pao. There was a sax player who started up midway through the meal and was very good. Service was ok.

    Lomo Saltado

My favorite restaurant I've been to in a long time! From the second you walk in, the mood is set. The menu is not overly complex, but still has many great options to choose from. I tried the Lomo Saltado and it was delicious. For dessert, I had the Picarones with a coffee and it was great. I want to thank César and the owner Eliseo for an amazing experience and giving background on the food and fun stories as well. Will be coming back here again soon and Thank You!

The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was wonderful and perfect for a catch up with my friend: warm, inviting, and perfect service! The burrata salad was outstanding, and the pasta was equally impressive. We also shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was incredible and the perfect ending to the evening. The lobster dishes and wine selection were excellent as well. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. To top it all off, our entire dinner came to under $100, which felt like tremendous value for the quality of the food and experience. I only wish we had a location in Los Angeles. This location felt like I was inside a fancy boat To start - the most unique and delicious chips I've ever had. I'm coming back first and foremost for the chips! Haven't seen chips this full of flavor before The prickly pear refresher was amazing - just mint, lemon, soda and prickly pear puree? This is one I'm going to make at home The same chips are used for the tuna dip but I'd like to note their pickled jalapeno - that was fire. So much flavor here Shrimp salad was great too, I enjoyed how balanced the dish was The baked alaska was a mix of chocolate and strawberry on the inside - everything was done from scratch. One recommendation is to add a layer between the ice cream and marshmallow is possible The black wagyu gold something tomahawk was divine - maybe better than any bbq I've been to. Nothing was spared here I also got the key lime pie, it was more grainy than I expected and the key lime was mostly in the reduction (?) to be poured on Overall, tomahawk, crackers, prickly pear drink (forgot to mention crab cake) were my favorites Staff was friendly too!

I sat there loving the celery. THE CELERY! When was the last time you read a review about how great the celery was? My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) was that you only get one little piece of garlic bread cut in half. So I rarely get dessert but the bread pudding sounded great.
