We had the seafood chaufa with quinoa, the mixed seafood ceviche and the half chicken. The chicken was moist and smoky from the wood fired cooking. It's so hard to find Peruvian food in the states, let alone good Peruvian food. I came across this place for dinner and I'm so glad I did. You order at the counter and then once you get seated they bring your food out. For two, we got the Lomo Saltado and a half order of the Polla a la Brasa. The chicken comes with two sides so we chose the Fried Yuca and Fried Plantains. Everything was DELICIOUS. I also really loved the green aji sauce which had a flavor and kick to it. We ate on a Friday night and saw a steady stream of customers enter the restaurant- both to go and eat in was hopping Order at a counter and the friendly staff delivers your meal to the table. We tried pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken with salad and fries) and Lomo Saltado (stir fried beef, red onions, tomato, French fries, with rice). Both meals come with a tangy green hot sauce - a great pairing for all our dishes. I had the best experience eating here. The owner came out and explained the menu to me and helped me decide. He asked me whether I wanted to eat my ceviche first or my pollo saltado. I wanted my ceviche first, so while I was eating, the cook held off on making my pollo saltado so that my food would be hot and ready when I was done with my ceviche. When I was about 3 bites away from being done. My main dish was brought to my table. I could tell they were peaking at me to see what phase I was in to determine the right time to bring my food. But I could hear my food being cooked and sizzling in the kitchen so it was fresh off the grill. Now that is customer service! The owner came over and asked if I had eaten Peruvian food before, and he was so sweet, he explained the culture to me. I can tell he loves his country, loves the food and just wants to share it with people. The ceviche was tart/sour which may be hard to have a full serving for some people. In which case it may be better to share the ceviche. But I thought the whole dish was delicious. A bit of soft, a bit of crunchy and very flavorful. The pollo saltado was slightly spicy, had a bbq kind of char to the chicken, and the red onion and tomato were nicely soft and grilled. The purple corn drink was lightly sweet and had apple, cinnamon and clove flavors which made the drink really dynamic. Overall I would eat here again. Ordered pollo a la brasa and the chicken was raw. The portions are small and the prices are high for the amount of food and quality.

The food is amazingly fresh, superb and tasty. You can tell it's all authentic and homemade with quality ingredients. Even their salad dressing is made fresh and it's very light and extremely good. My daughter wanted extra salad dressing to put on some of her food as well. It is well lit from floor to ceiling length glass wall and surrounded mirrors with beautiful tile that line the walls. There is outdoor seating as well. The service is amazing! Great with the recommendations and the owner even came out to talk to us and talk about some of their weekend specials. We will definitely be back because the food is so good. We also enjoy Peruvian red wine. We will be back and we don't even live in the area. read more

FOOD: The aguadito was so good 5/5 and complementary! The Aji De Gallina was 2/5 it was bland and missing that yummy authentic taste :( Peruvian food is never bland so this was a bit upsetting especially if you've brought out a non-Peruvian friend to eat The tacutacu and lomo was 4/5. Usually lomito Al jugo comes with bread but it didn't come with it so you'll have to order a side of bread for this dish if you want it. Came on a Friday night. Easy to find and easy parking on the street. Tables inside the restaurant and outdoor seating as well with heat lamps. Ordered the ceviche, lomo saltado, bread and platano. The ceviche was delicious and accompaniments went well with the dish. Really enjoyed the lomo saltado as well but the flavor was a little light. I tried this place for the first time. I ordered take out through their website and requested the pickup time to be about 75 minutes. It was quite expensive for what we ordered. When I got there, I had to wait another 15 minutes past the pick up time. So it took them about 90 minutes to prepare 3 entrees, 2 appetizers, and 2 desserts. But it cost $150 with a 10% tip. I was a bit annoyed because they didn't seem terribly busy, there were open tables, no line, and it looked like there were only 4 tickets on the board. Not to mention how expensive it all was and the fact that I was asked to leave a tip (and did) when I ordered online. I was a little annoyed I couldn't take back my tip, honestly. They eventually apologized for the wait when they handed me my food and I was ok giving them the benefit of the doubt and brushing it off because of the holiday rush. The big problem here is my sister found METAL SHAVINGS in her food! She picked it out of her mouth! How terrifying! I can understand the delay getting our food but there is absolutely no excuse for this. It was instantly off putting for obvious reasons and who knows if we ingested any of it or not. I came here a few nights ago with my daughter and her boyfriend. Yelp reviews looked good, and I can honestly say everything we had was worthy of their high rating. In fact, just a couple of nights later, they went back and had dinner there again! Not only is this place charming, but they are serving some seriously tasty food out of this kitchen. I've never been to Peru, but if everything tastes this good there, I may have to get my passport ready. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with what you order. Service was great. My partner and I ordered the Lomo Saltado and a half order of the Polla a la Brasa (peruvian roast chicken). The Lomo Saltado was served with white rice and we opted for the yucca fries and fried plantains for the sides that came with our chicken. The owner and his staff went out of their way to ensure each customer had a great experience. They would go to the different tables and chat with customers and provide background on the food that they had ordered and its significance to Peruvian cuisine! Food: it was quite decent, however the ceviche had no salt, and the portion seemed a little small. The Yuka was good, I believe it was frozen yuka, not sure if it was fresh. Lomo Salteado was okay too. Chaufa de quinoa with salmon unfortunately was super bland. I don't recommend this dish. Someone mentioned in another post that once you have bento Peru you will constantly miss Peruvian ceviche. This place did not disappoint and had amazing ceviche. We also really enjoyed the lomo saltado, tallarin shrimp saltado, and tallarin con pollo milenesa. We finished with yummy fresh churros and ice cream ! Huge hit with our family.
