They were doing construction on the road in front of the restaurant when we visited and the place wasn't much to look at. But man were we glad we stayed and ate. By far the best mexican food I've had in awhile. The horchata was refreshing and tasty, the carne asada quesadilla was huge and packed with flavor, and the fajita chicken tacos were delicious as well. And don't even get me started on their flour tortillas and the queso flamedo! By far the best chorizo I've had! We had so much food left over it was enough for dinner the next night. Great food. We tried the Big Texas Burrito next time instead of chicken I would recommend beef fajita. I would go back. Tacos were large and full of food. The only thing was there was a little black piece that I wasn't sure if it was a little bug or burnt piece. The server took it back really didn't say anything or apologize. Corpus Christi has continued to enhance its tourism attractions. It's not a big city by any means but offers quality amusements and entertainment. The local beaches are abundant and family friendly. There is a variety of accommodations to suit families or adults traveling without children. Downtown offers upscale dining, shopping and quality bar life. The outer vicinities provide all the usual food chains and in particular, down to earth homemade Mexican food offering the likes of Mama's home style tortillas and meals. One of our two favorite finds was Linda's Restaurant at 4033 Gollihar offering the best homemade corn and flour tortillas. Linda's is located in a Barrio, but if you want good Mexican food, this is the place. They have drive thru service run efficiently as a Chik Fil A. Inside dining service rates well. Linda's is on our return list next time we visit Corpus. read more

Linda's is a little quaint/cute Mexican Restaurant (contrary to its name) that serves Deeeeeeeeeelicious Mexican cuisine! Although the staff, more directly our waiter, spoke pequito English (see what I did there, clever right?) we still engaged in nonverbal communication for some items/ordering, the food was AMAZING!! I had combination fajita plate both chicken and steak and my Guy had a plate with sausage, steak, chicken and a plethora of delicious vegetable!! It all was so very delicious!! I had two helpings of their salsa, chips, and green sauce!! Can we say A M A Z I N G! Visiting Corpus, then Linda's is a must whether you frequent Mexican or are trying it for the first time! I was going to give this place 3 stars, then they brought my dinner. Holy cow, that is good Mexican food! I ordered the beef fajitas with sausage. The food was outstanding. The only negative was the lackluster service, but the food more than makes up for it. Also this is a great place to bring a family. It seems like most Mexican places start to taste the same. The food I was served at this restaurant is much better than just about any other Mexican food I have had. Even the rice and beans were stupid-good. I normally couldn't tell you how rice and beans were at a Mexican place because I usually only eat a bite or two, but here I couldn't get enough. Stop reading and go eat here. read more

Enchiladas were delicious, rice was delicious, I mean there wasnt a thing on my plate I didn't like. The chips were a little too... rough? Crunchy? But the salsa was nice and chunky. My sister and I both agreed this is a place our dad would love, and also one of the few places we would actually roll through just to get cheese enchiladas. We will be coming back. read more

Word of Advice- Don't order anything you haven't already tried before. I went with my mother and sister today. My mother ordered the menudo and it wasn't to her liking (she stated it tasted foul/spoiled). So we kindly asked the waiter if she could replace the item with something else. The waiter returned with another 16 year old and stated that she could order something else but she still would have to pay since other customers that ate it liked it. After a couple rounds of debate, I realized it wasn't worth the $ 6.00. So she ordered another item, we ate and left. Needless to say, I would have appreciated the manager to talk to us. I don't think $6.00 is worth losing customers, but that's just me. read more

OK, there are lot of Mexican places around here, but if you want a place to go where they know how to feed you and feed you good, go here. when i lived in corpus i would go every day 2 times a day all the ladies know me and know what i like. very nice! great for breakfast, taco's are huge and plates have a lot. other place is Hi-ho off of Morgan, lots of cops though. read more
