AMAZING experience! Ambience, food (definitely get the bread and thyme butter, hamachi, and tuna). The cocktails were definitely 500 Best Bars level. Intricate, intriguing, refreshing, well balanced and a lot of cool presentation from classic hurricane glasses, to teacups, and CRYSTAL clear big ice cubes. Hell we even had an alcoholic chai latte with a biscotti. A great new addition to the neighborhood! Food: West Coast Oysters- perfectly shucked, delicious green mignonette and cocktail sauce Hamachi Ceviche- very fresh fish, great balance of the heat of jalapeno, acidity of the lemon and rounded out with the smoked sea salt Grilled King Oyster Mushroom- surprise of the night, excellent texture between the cut of the mushrooms and the quick grilling on the wood fire. Butternut Squash Gnocchi- Fluffy, great texture (nothing worse than a dense gnocchi) pairs great with the umami of caramelized cippolini onions and mushroom broth au jus. Absolutely amazing experience. We made reservations for outdoor seating but there was a private party outside. We decided to eat inside on high top table. Matri'd did us right and gave us a goodwill discount. Tyler J was our waiter and beyond attentive and customized our experience here. We had the shoestring fries, tuna salad, spicy sausage pizza and the pasta pomodoro. The food was flavorful and just so delicious. We loved our dinner out here. Very nice decor. The oysters (1/2 off at happy hour) were very fresh and mignonette was very unique and flavorful. The habanero margarita was absolutely delicious with mezcal that made it smokey, perfectly balanced, and nicely spiced. We ordered the sausage pizza for dinner and I wasn't that impressed but still fresh and delicious. The beer selection was very lacking with three similar choices on draft. Service was very professional and friendly but I like a more relaxed environment. We had one slice of pizza and I asked for a small piece of aluminum foil and instead got a over-sized bag with my pizza placed in an over-sized plastic container, not very eco friendly :( These were small critiques and the place is still great. You want to eat here hands down. If you like food and hip atmosphere this place delivers. They also looked like they had a lovely backyard for the warmer months. But back to the food and drinks, you must try the Parker house rolls as a starter. Both the cocktails I had were delicious light and fruity/sweet without being super sugary. One of the people in our party got the truffle whiskey cocktail and it was too much truffle, so I'd advise to stay away unless you are a truffle nut. It kind of smacks you in the face and I could smell it from across the table. The east coast oysters were fresh and salty. Finally the ravioli was incredible. I literally was scooping the sauce with a spoon after the ravioli was demolished, it was that good. read more

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday while we were visiting the city and really enjoyed our meal. Upon entering, we were immediately welcomed by a very friendly hostess. We were quickly seated and loved the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Our waitress was prompt, very knowledgeable of the drink and dinner menu, friendly, and attentive. So My girlfriend decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday at Lindens with a few close friends. The menu looked boring to me but That was my mistake. The Grilled King Oyster mushrooms were the bomb & I could eat their butternut squash ravioli all day everyday. The artichoke Tempura was new to me & it was great. a lot happened that night & we did order a lot of different food, Service was A + and food was def 11/10 , they also have a pretty great cocktail selection too. Walked in the restaurant because we were around the area and didn't want to leave coz it's so hard to find parking in the city. First of, we got seated right away. It was peaceful but not that quiet. Music was relaxing actually. Ordered the tempura bowl & to be honest, haven't had really good food in a while. Lindens was such a surprise! Located in the Arlo Hotel but it's not your typical hotel restaurant. We enjoyed everything we had. Cocktails were unique, the lavender daisy was sweet and frothy. I'd recommend ordering one or two of those! We shared the seasonal tart, Parker house rolls (they come to the table warm!), and the butternut gnocchi. The steak and striped bass were very good too. Decided to check out Lindens based on the recommendation of a close friend and everything about the place absolutely exceeded our expectations! For the appetizers, we started out with the Thyme House Rolls, Fennel Pita bread, Tuna Tataki, and Hamachi Ceviche. The Thyme House Rolls were extraordinarily soft and the Pita bread came with a savory hummus dip. The Tuna Tataki was excellent but the Hamachi stood out in particular with its fresh and vibrant flavors. As for the main courses, we decided on the half chicken and hanger steak. Both were excellent choices as the half chicken was served with an unforgettable garlic sauce, and the hanger steak was grilled perfectly to medium-rare. read more

Would give this place 4 stars, as the food is, for the most part, very good. However, as nice as the staff are, it took about an hour and twenty minutes btwn appetizers and entrees. The bar is spacious and lovely, the lighting - moody, the aesthetic - sleek and clean! We came in wearing cozy sweaters & denim - and did not feel out of place! THE STAFF: As I previously mentioned, I am a new mom of twins and this was our first attempt at a pandemic outing (let alone fine dining with infants experience). We called ahead, and they made sure we had high chairs at the table! The entire team was super patient, and helpful as we essentially are unable to travel light at this stage. From greeting to seating, there was a personal nod/touch from every member of the team-We didn't feel like the problem guests! OUR SERVER:Shout out to the FABULOUS LIA (or LEA - hoping either of these spellings are correct)! She was our guide and fearless leader, way more than someone who just takes the order - she provided an EXPERIENCE! She was able to socialize and navigate our children, wasn't distracted by my multitasking - helped us navigate the varied/wonderfully seasonal offerings, and even shared a personal story about her own sister! THE MENU: I have to say that every cocktail had a unique flavor palette and seasonal edge - which I LOVED! There's also a nod to the tried and true classic cocktails that we tend to crave, plus a full bar (so no request is out of the question). We Tried the Following: Lavender Daisy (herbal, gin based) and the Blood orange Boulevardier(Floral,bourbon based). If you are a gin lover you would ADORE the unique flavors of the Lavender Daisy. If you love an old fashioned and negroni- the Boulevardier is right up your alley (minus the gin)! I followed up with a glass of red wine, which LIA recommended (CAB SAUV.), and it truly hit the spot! We closed with Tawny Port and the Lindens Seasonal Nitecap (A MUST, and made in house - if you love lemon, blood orange, and a hint of thyme- DO IT). RAW BAR: Don't Skip the Oyster Sampler!!! The Hamachi Ceviche, and Tuna Tataki - I could literally eat this everyday! They also have a lovely vegetable crudite! MAINS & SHARES: We shared the Sugar Pumpkin & Arugula Salad - my hope is that this is never removed from the menu!!! It needs to be a staple! We also shared the Butternut Gnocchi and the flavors were also Amazing. For mains we ordered the Striped Bass (LOVED) and the Hanger Steak (I'll say it again - FLAVORFUL). I would recommend when ordering mains to order a salad to share along with the pickled vegetables and or Marble Potatoes! From the moment the host greeted us we felt warm and welcomed. They were very patient as we ran late and totally put us at ease while seating us. Water was brought to us immediately and the server went through the menu with us in detail, offering suggestions based on our conversation. The food was so insanely good that I had to come back a second night during my 5 day visit and bring another set of friends. I think I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point and there wasn't a single item that did not get rave reviews from the entire group. Another wonderful thing about their menu is how easily it accommodates different dietary preferences without impacting the quality of the food. If you're vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc. there are tons of options (I went with someone allergic to gluten and dairy and we easily shared tons of dishes). - and it's all notated on the menu for clarity. My mom, sister and I had dinner at Lindens on Christmas Eve, it was absolutely wonderful: the food and cocktails were delicious, the staff was lovely and the restaurant itself is very cosy and pretty! My mom likes her meat very well done and since they didn't get it right the first time, the offered us a cocktail to apologize! We were not expecting such a kind gesture, especially since it's an abomination to eat meat that cooked From the minute we entered to the minute we left the restaurant we felt welcomed and cared for. Wow. What a memorable dining experience! We came with a big group and our server Jordyn was so attentive and handled our party with ease. We got a variety of food where everything was delicious. Usually, I don't fill up on bread but the acorn? butter and herbs? Carb me, baby! Also, you must try the diver scallops, the oysters (so fresh)- well, just everything from the raw bar. I also got the hangar steak which was cooked to perfection. For a cocktail, I tried the tarragon julep which was so nice with the guava. Overall, I'll be coming back here.
