I too have been stalking this places opening for a while and finally went last night. It's much bigger than I expected and it was packed at 7pm for hibachi. We are glad this place is easier to get to from APG than going to bel air. Prices are typical, expect to pay about $20 or more for any hibachi choice. But it does come with more stuff than most other places- like a side of lo mein noodles and 2 pieces of shrimp on top of everything else. We also ordered the shrimp tempura rolls, which came with 6 pieces. My husband and other patrons also got a mouthful of sake squirted into their mouth by the waiter. So that was entertaining. Will def. be back soon to get our hibachi fix soon. read more

Tried this place with friends and family. It was a pretty nice place at least visually. Nicely decorated. I decided to order sushi while most of the party ordered hibachi. The sushi was okay in terms of price and taste. Selection of the special rolls were minimal but sufficient. Service was slow and there was only one competent server. The rest seemed confused most of the time. Also it took awhile for the sushi to come. As I waited I watched the Hibachi show which was just okay. I didn't like how they throw zucchini at you to catch in your mouth. I thought that it's rude but most people seemed to enjoy it. At the end of the meal we had fried ice cream which was also okay. I must say, I like Lin's Hibachi. I've only been to the hibachi side of it once, as I go in alone, but both hibachi and restaurant side are excellent. I like the fact that they will prepare 3, 4 5 or even 6 rolls (full rolls, mind you) for a substantial discount (3 for $13 is my usual go-to meal) and they have several dozen from which to choose on the regular roll side. The special rolls? They list almost a hundred (I'll count next time I'm there) and they all seem delicious. This is the only place I've seen Chicken Katsu on the menu. I'll have to try that sometime. My wife swears by it. Aside from the rolls, and they also have hibachi menu items on the restaurant side of the house, they offer standard fare such as bento boxes, with your choice of protein, and something I tried once called been negimaki :) Green onions rolled in slices of beef. Absolutely to die for! If you're in the mood for Japanese, you won't go wrong with Lin's. They also have roll specials listed on the blackboard. read more

We love this place! The service is always prompt and very friendly. Sometimes there is a little communication barrier though, but adds charm to the place and never has been a big issue. There were 7 of us in our party, the place was quiet as expected on this day yet we were thoroughly impressed from the time we walked in until we left after a drink at the bar. food was excellent, service was excellent and our chef did a great job as well entertaining.....sushi was fresh and nice pour to the drinks! great addition to the route 40 area of HdG. definitely worth a trip back! fyi, the interior is beautiful and very contemporary. I went here for a quick lunch today, and I was shocked at how pretty the place was on the inside compared to the outside. I am a horrible person that judges a book by its cover, and yet again I was proved wrong. Serves me right. I had two rolls and the salad, the spouse had teriyaki steak with miso. The rolls were decent, nothing special but they were fresh. The salad had a good flavor, but I am used to cherry tomatoes in it other than one that I would put on a hamburger. The steak was good, and if you like a good fish stock miso this will satisfy that. What got me was the service. We had multiple ladies serving us to make sure we were happy, had what we needed, and their attitudes were brilliant. Very sweet ladies. I'm excited to go back! read more

We went Sunday after our granddaughters Communion. It was absolutely delicious. The best hibachi grill in the area. Our chef was awesome and entertained the kids by making them balloon characters. Food was delicious and portions were a nice size. Will definitely go back. read more

Small hibachi portions with little to no flavor. Noodles were extremely bland. Scallops had NO sear or even color on them. The knife they used to cut sytek on the grill was not very sharp as he had to try to cut meat 3 times before he was able to cut pieces. Very disappointed!!! read more

It's that time of year again - birthday time. My daughter has been dying to dine at Lin's since they opened a few months ago, but we keep putting her off. Apparently my husband has an aversion to catching food in his mouth. Her birthday was the perfect excuse for a celebratory hibachi meal. Lin's Hibachi is what Sakura would be if it were owned by Tokyo strip club operator instead of a poorly dressing dbag. Lin's did not fail to deliver your standard hibachi fair, with your standard hibachi entertainment, for your standard hibachi prices. They have over the top decor though, and some over the top birthday traditions. We made reservations for 8 for Sunday. The place definitely looks like a nightclub - both from the street and while inside. The food was pretty darn good. The table started off sharing an eel and avocado roll and a salmon flower. The sushi was fresh and tasty. Got the usual soup and salad - not original, but delicious nonetheless. Our chef was amusing and talented, although he definitely overcooked everything that hit our plates. Nothing a little 'yum yum' sauce can't counteract though :) In addition to that, he forgot the chicken part of my husbands "steak and chicken" meal. Instead of shrimp, he threw raw zucchini in our mouths. It was all very entertaining and delicious. Then it came time for the bill. This is normally where other hibachi restaurants would send out their mean owner to yell at us. Instead, Lin's staff brought out a few scoops of ice cream and what can only be described as a singing, spinning firecracker flower while playing 'Happy Birthday' over the loudspeaker. Sushi is way overpriced for the small portions you get. I paid $15 for an extremely small meal -- it honestly felt like a sampler (6 bites and I was done). I will definitely not be going back as there are actually better sushi spots nearby. They really need to take price/portions into consideration. read more

The atmosphere and decor are very nice! The servers are pleasant. We sat at one of the regular dining tables and were served quick. The hibachi dinners are soooooo good and they give you so much for your money. You get clear soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, mixed veggies and the meat. And their "yum yum"/pink sauce is so good! The only thing I can criticize is, I wish the simple cucumber sushi rolls were a little bigger. The hibachi dinners are quite expensive but honestly they give you so much food for your money!! read more

Im a bit of a prude when it come to food. I am very happy to recommend Lins menu. My faves are the Spicy Tuna stuffed Avacado because it is very mild and huge. Also the Ginger Sake drink was amazing. For Dinner I had the steak. Delicious and Happy Tummy! read more

I ordered teriyaki chicken one late night. The chicken was so chewy, it taste like rubbery chicken, I couldn't eat it. I even forced my husband to try it to make sure I wasn't acting like a drama queen. But he said something wasn't right with it. We both were disgusted for trying it. Spit it right out. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she'll change it to a different meal. I was craving teriyaki so I ordered shrimp teriyaki. This time, they basically gave me shrimp in teriyaki sauce minus the vegetables. Scratching my head, I decided to just get a to go box and leave. Maybe it was a late night, I was the only customer and they wanted to go home but by this point the employees seemed annoyed. My wife has been stalking the opening of this place for weeks, finally went on Valentines day and it did not disappoint at all! It's clean bright great menu. It was a tough call between sushi or hibachi. Service was excellent and the squirts of sake are good times by the chef. Food and service were very good, lunch specials on menu include bento boxes and teriyaki options. They have a small raw bar as well. The sauces they serve with the hibachi were excellent and my wife even commented they were not like the miracle whip yum yum sauce you normally get. It's about half hibachi and half sushi/sit down. So expect a short wait for hibachi. It was packed when we left around 7pm. They had menus you could take home just not sure if they are going to do take out? Hope so. Lin's never disappoints. Although I don't eat sushi their main dishes are perfect not greasy or over spiced as requested. The restaurant is spotless the service swift and extremely clean restaurants. I will say, the interior is beautiful and very nicely done (except my friend cut his finger on the sharp metal corner of the hibachi table). It was FREEZING inside once the vents were turned on which made the food cold real quick. The food and service was mediocre at best. (Specifically we did not receive our appetizers until the chef already started cooking our food. The specialty roll we received was overloaded with crunch and the salmon was dark and smelled fishy.) Came here on a Wednesday night, and it was dead. Besides myself and bf, there was only one family at the hibachi table. We decided to eat in. The decor is nice, and the booths were comfy. The waitress was rude though. When I asked if I could change my order, she said that she'd already put in my order and clearly didn't want to change it. She had put in my original order not even a minute ago before I asked if I could switch. She never came back to check on us, and some other waitress dropped off our food. No one ever came back to check om us, refill drinks, nothing. I ordered the chicken bento box, and it was really good. Service sucked though which is why I gave only three stars. read more

The food was blah, and one person in our party became sick with GI issues after eating her sushi roll. The service was poor as one of our party didn't get her item served until the rest of us were halfway finished. We had to go back to the kitchen to find our waitress. Surprisingly good Japanese food for such an out-of-the-way place. I have tried several of their rolls, which were delicious, as well as the tempura and yakitori. The hibachi was good too, though that kind of entertainment -- throwing food and squirting cooking sake into the customers' mouths, calling sauces "ice cream", and so on -- really isn't my thing. My only complaint is the service. An order got lost once, and sometimes it takes a while to get anyone's attention. But I expect to be a frequent visitor in spite of this. read more

I've eaten here many, many times when I'm in APG for work. The sushi at Lin's is fantastic. The presentation is always interesting with a fresh flower or sculpted carrot to dress up the plate. The Tom Yum (spicy) soup is also really good. read more

They had been working on this place for quite a while....it was worth the wait. The lovely had been waiting for it to open...tonight we tried it. There was a 35 min wait for the habachi seating, but the dining room was immediate. That is expected in a new place and a unique place to the area... The decor is slick and upscale...but the prices...competitive with the type of better places in the area. Now for the food... we split the yakitori shrimp app. Plump shrimp and very tasty. Meso soup came with our meal...that too was yummy. We both got the same entree mango shrimp...big shrimp cooked spot on with mango and apple in a light sauce. This place is a great addition to the area. Can't wait to try the habachi on a slow night....oh and it is very very loud. Not the place for a quiet romantic dinner. It is a shame they did not do a better job separating the hibachi area from the non hibachi dining area. read more
