Best breakfast around, the lunches are so so, we went a few days ago and I had the mexican burger, asked for medium green chili and pretty sure I got the hot, also the burger was very bland and luke warm, hubby got a grilled bacon and cheese and the cheese wasn't even melted. Been in Denver for 2 months now, recent move from Albuquerque, and I've found the BEST place for breakfast!! Not only is the food amazing but the service is top notch. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak came out exactly as I ordered it, the eggs were perfect and the hash browns had a good crisp on the outside. The wait staff was super friendly and very attentive to my needs. Throughout my time at the table, my water was never empty or anywhere near it. They were able to manage the "hectic" rushes of people that came in for Labor Day very well. Only waited 5 minutes to be seated. I will definitely be back!! The table next to me was also so friendly; they mentioned they've been coming here (old location also) for 25 years! Doesn't look like much from when you drive by but it was so close we had to try her food. We got her biscuits and gravy sandwiches and it did not disappoint. The homemade flavor and texture was perfect with the gravy not too salty and sausage patty in the middle was so fun. Arrived at 830am , 1st time eating here. small place one 4 seat table and one 2 seat .we sat at the 4 seat across from the food pick up window .my hash browns looked done but were not even warm .after seeing how the regulars were being treated BETTER than new comers i didn't mention it .I watched people arrive after us get served before us .we just had break fast off the menu.no special requests. After finally being served the waitress didnt come back to our table till the end of the meal and asked if we needed anything else ..so ..this place is very small ,BAD service ,food nothing special...prices seemed alittle high for the neighborhood and other resturant s that have much better food and service ...it was a wk end it that made a difference read more

I like this breakfast spot. It kinda gives you that old town restaurant feel like where everybody knows everyone. I have been going to this place for many many years although not lately (Covid) I can't remember a time leaving there not happy with my meal. I moved here from Miami, and I'm used to really good dinners & breakfast places, and it's been hard to find a restaurant I would actually go back to after a first experience. I've been to Lisa's 4-5 times now and the quality for the price is really good! The portions are big, the food tastes good and fresh, and the best part is that their service is consistent! I've always gotten the same product and that is huge! The place is small but the service is fast. I've never waited more than 15-20 mins to get a table. and take out is always an option! The hash browns are golden brown and always the same amount, the eggs are cooked fresh to perfection however you order them, the corned beef hash is a big portion and tested delicious! The parking lot and the size if the place is the worst part of the visit. I want them to have a bigger dining room solely because it was fantastic and more people should try it. There was a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Seems like a mom and pop shop in a house turned to a restaurant. I had steak and eggs (medium and over easy), my son had a pancake, and my buddy had spinach omelette. Everything came out super quick and was delicious My steak was perfectly cooked, and was super juicy. It felt like my mom had made my and my friend breakfast at home. Wonderful surprise! Sits in a strip mall with a small sidewalk out front, but signage indicated a covered, heated porch for sit down dining. Walked out back and found a super friendly, warm space. Friendly family atmosphere. It was nice to sit down for a great breakfast. Super-friendly staff and good food from a reasonably large menu. Good home cooking. Staff repeatedly sanitized door handles, tables, and chairs. We will return the next time we are in Denver. read more

Lisa's is small and quaint. The servers are super friendly and they have a ton of regulars. This place has that rare neighborhood/family feel. The food is also super affordable and comes out quickly. They support different local crafters so while there, you can buy different things like aprons, etc. This is place is not great for large parties and there is typically a line on weekends. But the tables turn quickly. The food is only OK... I don't have a favorite item on the menu. But it is a cool vibe with really friendly service. read more

Lisa's place was delicious! My girlfriend and I went there for breakfast this morning and were very pleased with the food. The eggs were fresh, the sausage wasn't dripping with grease, and the biscuits were fluffy and buttery. The green chile was a little hotter than expected (she got half and half) but was still great. The food got to our table quickly and it was still nice and warm. The atmosphere, however, might not be for everyone. It is a very small restaurant, so groups of more than 4 can't fit, and the tables are cramped, so you can hear everyone's conversations all around you. There is clearly a group of regulars (some louder than others) that all seem to know each other and the staff, and I can see why they keep coming back. I would recommend Lisa's place, but if you go, don't expect a nice quiet morning meal. read more

I thought I'd already written a review for this amazing place. I love them. My so and I go for bfast at least twice a month. He always gets the 3 meat burrito with the hot chili. It's his favorite. Me personally? They make the best basted eggs ever, perfectly toasted English muffins (I ask for double toasted). The best bacon in town hands down and OMG the French toast!!!! To die for imho. I expected that after 30 reviews and all 4 stars that this place was going to be one of those hole in the wall gems you come across one in a blue moon. If I could give them no stars I would!!! My boyfriend and I got simple meals. I got a side of bacon with mine and the side of bacon that cost I think $4 was the worst bacon I've ever had. I am not joking when I say I think they gave be the leftover bacon from the day before because it was hard as a rock, cold, and the fat was dried and cold so it looked disgusting! The bread was bland, cold, and cardboard (cheapest bread they could find), and the eggs also tasted gross. Let me save your time; go anywhere else, or even if you are the WORST cook, stay at home and make your own breakfast over coming to this place. read more

Just got back from there for Monday all you can eat Burritos & Tacos for $7. That's a bargain with your choice of any meats and sauces. I gotta say the Sterling Chicken is the best meat choice here. Try it and you'll be in love. When they say hot on the Green Chilli they mean hot. It's got a good kick that compliments the rest of the smoothered burrito nicely. I'm afraid I must agree with another reviewer - this place was just no good. Decor was fine and restaurant was clean. There were a few families there that seemed like regulars. But the food was really unfortunate. My husband's biscuits and gravy were bland at best. My French toast was odd. It was more like a Texas toast than an actual piece of French toast. Today, 11.5.13 was my 5th visit to Lisa's Place, and the first time I have been there on a weekday. It was crowded, but my friend and I got seated right away. We tend to order the same thing every visit, as we like certain things for breakfast and have never been disappointed with our orders in the past. Today we decided to order the corned beef hash combination and it was the best corned beef hash I've had in ages. Crispy the way it's supposed to be. I normally order French toast, and I love that that they serve their bacon crispy! The French toast aint bad either. My friend usually orders over-easy eggs and says he loves they way they always arrive at our table. I hate wet eggs and always order mine over -hard, and I've been pleased to find that's what I get. The food is very consistent, and if your looking for home-style breakfast food at reasonable prices, Lisa's delivers. As several other reviews have noted, it's a very small place, and not very "private". We go for the food though, and generally we are on our way somewhere else and don't linger. We have had to wait a couple of times to get seated, but never very long. The staff is very nice. Casual yes, but attentive as you could ask for and they have had quite a crowd to deal with every time we have been there. I'd much prefer to go to a place like this then hit a chain and spend $12 for food half this good. I don't like fancy breakfast food, and prefer to simply eat the sort of food I grew up with. This is what Lisa's Place serves, and if that's the sort of breakfast food you enjoy, this is a must-visit place. I haven't said anything about their Mexican dishes because I don't go there for that sort of food. Eventually I might try something on that side of the menu, but then I will miss out on other awesome traditional American breakfast fare. read more

Great little hole in the wall, I would actually rate this a solid 3.5. The green chile was good and spicy and went well on top of my corned beef hash. My son picked up the spuds burrito, but the cheese on top of it was that Kraft slice style of Swiss cheese and had a slightly plasticky texture- I will be coming back as the bacon was really, really good and worth just getting a plate of by itself to snack on, maybe just get some Swiss with holes in it or a slightly less processed version? read more

So good! This place had some of the best chicken fried steak I've had outside of Texas. The waffles were incredible, the coffee hot and fresh, and we had super service. Next time I'm in Colorado I will make a point of coming back here for sure! read more

Great service and very good food. Breakfast Burritos are awesome and daily specials are usually very good. Very personable staff in a "Mom & Pop" sort of way - you are only a stranger here once. Seems like most of are greeted by name. Very small (10 tables or so) and it tends to get backed up (at least for Sunday breakfast) but the wait it worth it.
