I was looking for something sweet, to kill my sweet tooth craving when I saw all the great selection of dry fruit. My mouth could not resist getting watery. There were soooo many to choose from I just couldn't make up my mind. Good thing the cashier gave us permission to try a couple of samples andI lOVED THEM ALL ! I'm giving this place 4 stars b/c I love shaved ice and you get a crap load for only 3 bucks. $3 gets you 4 toppings. Some of the topping choices included red beans, green beans, lychee, mixed fruit, pinneaple, condensed milk, jelly, etc. I went with the lychee, red bean, condensed milk, and mango jelly stars combo. I was kind of bummed they didn't have strawberries though! Places in Koreatown in LA mostly have shaved ice w/ fresh fruit but they charge almost 10 bucks for it and I never finish it anyway. This place was a good place to stop by for dessert after my heavy, greasy dinner at R.H. Garden Cafe across the street. When you go inside you see asian chips and snacks to the left, and the set up of the candy reminds you of Sweet Factory. This place is called Little Green Bean? I swear I thought it was Little Bean. At any rate, this has become one of our "go to" places when I come home. I suppose there might be a whole section of the store that sells candy and whatnot, but I've only noticed the drinks and games. We played some dominoes and almost played some Chinese Checkers except that my little 2 year old nephew wanted to go home. I like their pudding. Most people order it as boba milk tea with pudding, but I just get milk tea with pudding. Boba is okay in my book, but pudding is much better. And the pudding here will not disappoint. I'm not a fan of boba, but this is the only exception to the rule. The milk tea is fresh--that is, you can actually taste the tea and not the disgusting amount of half-and-half/condensed milk that other vendors dump into their drinks--and served warm unless you specifically ask for it cold. The boba is cooked very well, with the perfect "cue-cue" consistency and hint of Japanese brown sugar. It's really a bang for your buck. Like the reviewer below me remarked, it's not intended to be a trendy hangout with sub-par service and drinks. I don't really go to this place anymore because I recently found out an old family friend owns it, and every time I go she insists my order is on the house. I'm not really comfortable with it, plus she wants to know anything and everything that's going on in my life, so tragically, I have to stay away from the only boba milk tea I'm willing to drink. I always come here for a quick take out, their taro boba is simply amazing. I love the fact they use real taro instead of taro powder, it's definitely a huge plus for me. I usually don't get boba in my drinks, but always making an exception for this place. Their boba is so soft and fresh, OMG I can eat those all day. Little Bean is one of those hidden gems among the many other boba shops in Rowland Heights. When you walk in, you get flashbacks to childhood as you look at all the Asian candy. They have a vast selection of candies and chips, but the drinks are what you should come here for. The prices are great. For $4-5, you can buy a drink that will satisfy your soul if you prefer the actual taste of tea and boba and not fancy drinks full of syrups and colors. The Boba here is top notch. I get one and only one thing here, standard Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls. The tapioca WILL come out slightly on the warm side, which makes it chewy in texture -- no hard center -- and the milk tea is probably one of the better balanced milk teas I've had in the area. No container-sealing machine for legit-ness, but I'll let that slide since their drinks are so consistently good. Sometimes I come in twice in a 4 hour span and the ladies recognize me. Thank goodness they don't say anything. I usually walk around and look at the various candies they have in the bins while they're making my drink, which comes out pretty fast. Parking is a little better now that people realize the Food Court in the strip mall sucks and the downstairs Happy Family has moved away. I remember seeing this place when I was a kid over a decade ago, and it wasn't until today that I went in here for the first time. I needed some ginger tea, bad, and Yelp brought me here.
