My family and I attended Disney on Ice Sunday and planned to have brunch afterward. Initially, we searched for restaurants in Bridgeport, but nothing seemed appealing--no offense to Bridgeport. Our search then led us to a place called Little Goose in Fairfield. I must say, the experience was amazing. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Although it is not a large establishment, they accommodated our party of five with only a 15-minute wait. I highly recommend Little Goose if you find yourself in the area.

I went here with friends and we adored this hidden gem. Located on Commerce Drive next door to the Audi dealership, Little Goose is an adorable little cottage-like restaurant with indoor as well as patio seating. The service was pleasant. We shared a plate of nachos to start and it was a meal in and of itself for the four of us. One friend enjoyed the pistachio martini and said somehow it really did taste like pistachio. I had the swordfish as my entree, which was cooked perfectly and topped with a mango, onion and cucumber pico de gallo all served over a vegetable ratatouille. We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back!

Stopped by here brunch and we were seated right away. We ordered some festive cocktails but mine tasted really sour so I asked the waitress for the same one my friend got but the second drink was different from my friends. We got the Prime-Rib French Dip and the eggplant fries and a cheeseburger with regular fries. Both the French dip and the burger were juicy and well seasoned. The eggplant fries were the star of the sides and tasted delicious! I am definitely going to order more for the future! The staff was very friendly and brought out Christmas cookies for everyone to try.

The nachos are the best around. Service is wonderful. No domestic beer on tap, only bottles.

This review is based on my first hand experience as a customer of this business on August 20, 2024. Nice little place for lunch or brunch with cosy atmosphere if that's what you like. Great burgers and sandwiches. Tuna melt on English muffin is perfect. Seafood chowder will keep you coming back for more. The name of this restaurant is Little Goose, not The Little Goose. Not a big deal, but just demonstrates how Yelp fails to verify fundamental info like the name, even though other users have posted photos showing the correct name. Don't ever trust anything you see on Yelp without checking for yourself.

I went with my husband and this little place just shock my with outstanding food and the super friendly staff.

Sausage eggs Benedict

We came for Brunch on a Sunday. First to arrive. Very small parking area. Greeted and seated immediately and appreciated the wooden tables and aesthetically pleasing decor. We ordered from the brunch menu: sausage eggs Benedict (served on Belgian Waffle) and Steak eggs Benedict and a side order of in house made corned beef hash (we had to try). We were told brunch and the full menu were available. Plates arrived and looked most pleasing, side of home fries and fruit salad which menu did not specify. Nice! Steak tender and sausage delicious, but Hollandaise sauce was not to our liking. It was very thin and had a sour taste which was not pleasing. The potatoes were perfectly browned...fruit salad refreshing, but main dishes fell short. Service pretty good except server never checked in to ask if all ok. We may return to order from main menu, but do not plan to return for brunch.

Came here really hungry. It's almost 3:00 on a Monday and there are a couple of occupied tables and a couple at the bar. Server is pleasant and kitchen is efficient. Doors are open letting in fresh warm air. Ambiance is low key friendly. I'm having a Thimble Island Pilsner on tap and a Big Mack burger with sweet potato fries. Beer was cold. Burger was cooked to perfection on Texas toast bread. Fries were crisp. A very enjoyable lunch!

We were so happy we chose this cozy gastropub for Sunday brunch. There were ample menu offerings on their brunch menu, in addition to their regular menu. The Little Goose was jam packed with fellow brunch goers enjoying the live music.. we were happy to had made a reservation in advance. My quiche was thick but fluffy, and the side garden salad was the perfect accompaniment. The highlight of our meal was the cappuccino topped with a quaint rock candy, which served as the sweetener. I already told several of my friends about how great brunch was, and I can't wait to go back to try more items on their menu.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.

My friend works nearby, so she met up with me for some tapas and drinks during happy hour, since my keys were next door. I wasn't hungry, so I just sampled everything she ordered. She had fried calamari which was beautifully presented, the hanger steak with green chimichurri, Eggplant Tablao (fresh mozzarella, fried eggplant, and warm tomato ragu), and the warm goat cheese with marinara sauce and pesto crostini. (Portion was super small) oh yeah, we also had the paellera consisting of chorizo, chicken, pork, clams, mussels, shrimp. The bread with olive oil was a nice simple touch as well. For drinks, we had a margarita and a Manhattan. The Manhattan was amazing...the fresh orange zest really elevated the drink and infused it with a bright citrus aroma right away. Definitely recommend trying it! We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Luis. You can tell he truly takes pride in his craft and creating an experience for his guests. He was welcoming and passionate about what he does. I'd definitely return again!

Their classic margarita never disappoints (with Tajín on the rim, of course), and the tacos are consistently flavorful and fresh. I almost always start with the plantains and chips with guacamole, which make the perfect shareable appetizer. There's truly something for everyone, even for those who wouldn't typically gravitate towards Mexican-inspired cuisine. That said, the service has become a bit hit-or-miss in recent visits. They are an extremely busy location so I understand the hustle. I was happy to see they brought back the traditional table-side ordering after a period of having customers place orders exclusively through their phones. The current hybrid approach is a much better. You get the more personal and professional experience of ordering with a server, while still having the option to pay or place additional orders through your phone if needed. Despite a few service inconsistencies, I'll definitely be back for another margarita and taco night soon!

I wouldn't recommend the Yaki Onigiri, despite reading positive reviews for it. The fried rice was way too heavy and didn't taste good. It is the kind of place that works perfectly for a casual date night or a comforting dinner when you are craving something rich and flavorful. We started with the agedashi tofu and Sapporo, which was a great way to ease into the meal. The tofu was lightly crisp on the outside and silky inside, sitting in a savory broth that balanced sweetness and umami nicely. Paired with a cold Sapporo, it set the tone for a solid evening. My girlfriend ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen, which came out steaming and fragrant. The broth was creamy and pork forward with a steady heat that built gradually without overwhelming the palate. The noodles had a nice chew and the toppings were well portioned. I went with the mazemen, which was bold and satisfying. Rich sauce coating thick noodles, topped with a perfectly jammy egg and fresh scallions for brightness. It was hearty and full of flavor, the kind of dish that leaves you full and content. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and a laid back energy that encourages you to settle in. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The only reason this lands at four stars instead of five is that while everything was very good, it did not quite reach that unforgettable level. Still, it is a dependable spot for quality ramen in Norwalk.

Every time I go, the service is excellent, and the food is consistently delicious. The restaurant was also named a top restaurant in 2024. 29 Markle was at the Shelton, Connecticut, Food Truck Festival, but they are usually parked in Bridgeport, Connecticut, downtown, at the amphitheater. As soon as I saw the truck, I knew it was one of the food trucks I would try. I was excited because I love their restaurant and was most excited about trying the food at the truck. I ordered the ChowTime Smash Burger, consisting of Domestic Wagyu, Onion Jam, Aged Cheddar, Lettuce, and Tomato. I also ordered the Braised Short Rib Poutine French Fries. My son and I tasted the ChowTime burger, and it was moist. The Onion Jam came through on the burger, but my son and I agreed that the burger just lacked flavor. The burger tasted like nothing but a sweet burger from the Onion Jam. The Short Rib Poutine French Fries were okay. The meat tasted slow-cooked, and there was plenty of flavor, but I wish the cheese were incorporated throughout the Potuine instead of just on top of the French Fries. I will always love 29 Markle and the restaurant. I saw that they have the ChowTime Burger on the menu, so I will give it another try while dining there and give it another review. As always, the customer service was excellent. Make sure you check out the restaurant because the food is top-notch.
