Came here for lunch. Good thing they have a bar, look like it should be good for wine and oyster. Ordered the crab sandwich, taste good and presentation is great. Tomato soup is just average, next time can skip. Tuna melt is good too but portion size is too small. In general, food taste good but expect it is little bit pricey. Definitely don't drive here because street parking is very expensive ($7 per hr). Anyway, one time visit is okay.

Came into little shucker to use my chase dining credits, I had my eye on this place for a longtime but was not impressed at all! It honestly was extremely underwhelming for both my sister and I. We started off with a variety of fresh oysters, chips and dip added caviar (this was our favorite), scallop crudo which had no flavor besides being overly salty. I'm glad we started with those smaller bites before ordering more because once we tried those without being impressed by any we figured our money would be spent better elsewhere. This place doesn't even hold a candle to woodhouse fish co a few doors down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is cute and feels very open, service was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wouldn't recommend for good seafood thought, other places are far better and more economic!

3.5 stars but I rounded up. It would have been solid 4 if chefs were not so heavy handed on the salt. Miso baked oysters were good but a bit over salted. Hogwash for the raw oysters was salty and tastes like fish sauce. Ended up using just the bottled sauces they provided. The branzino (fish of the day) with couscous was very good. My favorite dish. The bad: scallop tartar was not good. Literally tasted like the ocean. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside on a beautiful sunny day in SF.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

**Ambiance:** [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is bright, airy, and inviting with an open-concept layout that feels perfect for a summer afternoon. Natural light pours in, and many guests seemed to be enjoying the sunny atmosphere, which added to the restaurant's relaxed and lively vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] **Food:** We started with the raw seafood selection, which arrived first and set a strong tone for the meal. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, and the cocktail sauce had a flavorful kick that complemented it well. Next came the grilled cheese and crab roll combination. The crab roll was served cold and was delicious--light, fresh, and satisfying. The grilled cheese had great flavor on the outside, but I wish the cheese inside had been more fully melted, as parts of it remained unmelted in the center. For the entrée, we ordered the steak and fries. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a great sear. It leaned slightly salty for my taste, but the execution and tenderness were spot on. The fries were a solid accompaniment. **Service:** Service was attentive throughout the meal. Our water glasses were consistently refilled without having to ask, and any additional sauces or requests were promptly accommodated. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helped make for an enjoyable dining experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Little Shucker is the kind of spot that just feels right on a sunny Saturday in the city with great ambiance, great energy, and for the most part, really great food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went with the Little Shucker Sampler and it was a delicious way to work through a variety of bites. The standout oysters for me were the Kumiai -- fresh, clean, and everything a good oyster should be. The tuna crudo was also a highlight, the shallot sauce was incredibly refreshing and really elevated the dish. The cold crab roll was enjoyable, the freshness of the scallion was a nice touch though it did run a little salty. Same note for the steak and fries, which was otherwise cooked really well and definitely satisfying. Just a touch heavy handed on the salt across the board. The one thing I'd say you can pass on is the grilled cheese. It was a little underwhelming - not all the cheese was fully melted which made it feel unfinished, and with so many other stronger options on the menu it's easy to skip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was super nice and the ambiance was absolutely perfect for a sunny afternoon out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Little Shucker has a lot going for it and with a few small tweaks in the kitchen it could easily be a five star experience.

We stopped in with no reservations for a late lunch on a Sunday. We were very impressed, little shuckers does not mess around when it comes to seafood. The oysters and mussels were fantastic especially with the accoutrements. The crab roll was something to write home about and more, we could not stop remarking on how great it was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience in the place was a little odd, not sure if it's because we went at an off time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It felt a bit like the servers were hovering and looking for something to do.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped in this cute little restaurant on Fillmore St on a recent afternoon to grab lunch. It was nice outside so we got a table on the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We each got a glass of wine because why not. The suggested wine went well with the seafood we ordered. We started with the prawn cocktail which came with six prawns and cocktail sauce. The prawns were cooked perfectly and flavorful. We also ordered the LS crab roll and tuna melt. Both came on toasted split buns. We chose the hot crab roll with butter and topped with tobiko. It was stuffed with crab meat! I could have eaten another one, it was so good. The tuna melt included sharp cheddar and mayo. It was a nice spin on a typical tuna melt. The dishes were great to share for a lunch. We'll definitely be back next time we're in SF!

Came here for happy hour and was able to snag a spot at the bar! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got seated at the shucking bar and was able to enjoy the staff work their magic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We snacked on oysters, chips and dip and sipped on house wine. The oysters were sweet and paired prefect with a salty bite of chips. The staff was informative and even came by to let us know happy hour was ending. Would love to come back and try more of the menu!

As the yelp rating states: it "could've been better" Decided to try little shucker with the $150 Chase Sapphire Reserve credit for open table. Had a reservation for bar seating. Service was pretty bad off the start. Greeted at door, randomly passed around by staff, then off to the side, then to a table. Two of us ordered: ghost town IPA $12 9 oysters ($4.50 ea) 3x kumiai 3x miyagi 3x mere point caesar salad with prawns $26, not much flavor squid ink tonnarelli $23, overcooked steak and fries $38, overpriced, a bit dry For an oyster spot, to have only 3 different types available is a bit disappointing. If it weren't for the credit, probably a 1 star experience. Street parking only.

We had a 5pm reservation on Sunday and got seated promptly. There were people waiting outside, highly recommend reserving ahead of time. We were seated inside next to the window. We didn't order any oysters but did try their lobster roll, fish of the day, prawn cocktail and focaccia flatbread. The flatbread was absolutely delicious. The prawns were refreshing and the branzino was prepared beautifully. The lobster roll didn't stand out to me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a great place with nice ambiance and great food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Allan K.

Oh man, it's difficult to beat hog island oysters but the miyagi oyster was pretty good! Comes with some onion vinegar and their homeade hot sauce which wasn't anything special but neat! The crab sandwich was defintiely better than their lobster sandwich. But yiu can never beat baked oysters and they defintiely know it by their price. It was sooo good. Can't beat the miso bone marrow and garlic butter combo (separate flavors). Parking is a doozy but we found street parking half a block over for lunch time. There were some reviews about the quality and attitude of service which I can totally see but she was nice with a smile at the end! Just be polite and not entitled, things will go great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was really clean and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love their wooden tables and wall mounted seats! Simple and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

THE LS LOBSTER ROLL Served hot
    T C.

The 4 star is given to the mussels - HANDS DOWN. Definitely one of the best broths we've ever tried - so much so, we ordered extra baguette to dip it into the broth and didn't leave a drop! Downside, my bowl of mussels had three empty shells with no loose mussels floating around :( The house smoked butter is pretty amazing and would likely go well with any freshly baked crusted bread. Their focaccia flatbread is spectacular with the offset of balsamic vinegar to nicely compliment the arugula and ricotta. The salad was a bit standard but the person in our party enjoyed it. Lobster Roll very pricey for what was offered. We love oysters but the oysters we chose weren't anything we'd specifically come back for. LIttle Shucker will definitely be our return visit when we are hitting that mussel craving!

Portions are kind of small but very yummy and delicious food. Service is great and staff are friendly. Ambiance is great and fresh.

When we got there there was a line outside, and it was probably a 30-40 minute wait. We ordered the 24-Piece Oyster Bar Mix ($92), 6-Piece Grilled Oysters with the Chipotle Bourbon seasoning ($26), and a bowl of Clam Chowder ($23). Everything came out pretty quickly so we didn't go hungry for much longer after we ordered. The day that we went, the oysters that were available and were included in our mix were the Hog Island Sweetwater, Hog Island Highwater, Hog Island Atlantic, and Hog Island Kumamoto. As soon as our server pointed out which oysters were which, however, I forgot what he said immediately so I could not tell you which ones I liked the most. You can definitely taste the difference between them though and they were all great, but my favorite one was a little bit sweeter I think, and it was one of the bigger shelled ones. Thew grilled oysters were amazing as well. The shells were even larger than the raw oysters, and there was a lot of flavor to them. The clam chowder was definitely more brothy than ones I've had in other places, and not as thick and creamy. It was still good though and there was a ton of clams and other ingredients inside. Definitely worth a try if you're visiting the pier. It's definitely on the pricier side but you are getting what you paid for. I do wish that they automatically offered the supposedly complimentary bread to each table as they sat down. We saw that there was a basket of bread to the side of the aisle but weren't sure if it only came with certain dishes.

I tried their clam chowder, and it was fantastic. Everything seems pretty classy, from the way you are served to the actual food presentation. The restaurant was even dog accessible, and we were able to have our pet sit right with us and enjoy the great view. Overall, if you are looking for a great dining experience, you should definitely come to Hog Island Oyster.

The hostess seemed like everyone was bothering her. We had to wait for a table (expected) so we had a couple different interactions with her and she said the absolute bare minimum in an irritated tone and both times I said "thank you" she just stared at me. Our waitress took a considerable amount of time to even come greet us. At greeting she already wanted us to order our food along with our beverages. It felt rushed after not being acknowledged. Once our main courses came we were never checked on until she brought the check. No water refills or anything until the check came and I had to ask. My friend started with the Hartford style clam chowder and it was the blandest chowder either of us had ever had. It honestly tasted like it came from a can. We did get this comped off, which was appreciated. The lobster roll my friend had was mostly all bread and mediocre tasting. Not worth the money at all. I had the squid ink spaghetti and it was completely flavorless other than the occasional burst of spice. It was spice without actual flavor though. I've never had a squid ink pasta dish that tasted like nothing. This was the most bland meal I've ever had at any restaurant.

My most recent visit for lunch on a Saturday was very busy! The line was out the door but they move fast and the food comes out even quicker. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor tables where you sit wherever you. There is self service water with and without lemon throughout the location. Pros: Quick and friendly service Tasty lobster rolls, lobster chowder, and crab sandwiches Con: Parking is VERY limited. They have a small lot in the back and you can park against their fence but over the weekend it's almost impossible. There is street parking but also a little hard if you want to park directly nearby. I parked about 1.5 blocks away on the next street parallel to the restaurant. The naked lobster roll is one of my favorites because you can really taste the meatiness of the lobster. You can tell it is fresh in every way with the buttery brioche bread. The tray comes loaded with chips and a side of Cole slaw. If you come with friends, I recommend getting a bowl of the lobster soup to share. Dipping the chips into the soup is chef's kiss! If you are a smaller party, you can always get the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup. But the better deal is to get the soup to share on the side since the lobster roll is $39 vs the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup is $37. If choosing between the which lobster roll to get, I opt for the naked roll because of the freshness and it is not as heavy. The dressed lobster roll has a good amount of flavor and pairs well with the bread, it's a little heavier because of the mayo and butter brioche bread. They don't use a ton of mayo in it so it's not as bad as you may think. I've had the twin tails in the past and I can definitely say it was very easy to get the lobster out. Sometimes some places make it more difficult and people don't want to really dig in with their hands. Safe to say it was very easy to eat. Over the years, I've seen the price go up with inflation unfortunately. So I definitely still come but as a little treat to myself or if I were to come celebrate a special occasion.

I had the clam chowder twice, and it was just perfect--creamy, with lots of clams and potatoes. And then there is the **Boudin sourdough bread**, with that wonderful, distinctive "sour" flavor that seems to be missing from so many sourdough breads these days. One evening, we shared the **Mixed Seafood Grill**, which was amazing: wild-caught shrimp and three kinds of fresh fish--black cod, halibut, and salmon--served with salad and fresh vegetables. We started with the organic beet salad, with both red and gold beets. On another visit, I had the **Dungeness crab cake appetizer with a bowl of clam chowder**, which made a delicious and surprisingly hearty dinner. I was lucky enough to have **Tom as our waiter twice**, and he won my heart with a small act of kindness. At the end of dinner, I asked if he could wrap up my two remaining pieces of sourdough bread. When I opened the package later, I discovered he had tucked in a few extra pieces for me. I brought them home and was able to enjoy a little taste of San Francisco for several more days. Thank you, Tom! I also love that Scoma's hasn't tried to turn itself into another sleek, modern restaurant. The **old-school, vintage 1960s-1970s atmosphere** is part of its charm: waiters in white jackets, dark wood paneling, brown leather or vinyl seating, brass details, warm amber-glass lighting, wrought-iron dividers, and crisp white tablecloths. Walking into Scoma's feels a little like stepping back in time. For me, it was even more special because it brought back memories of **California days with my family when I was growing up**.
