Wow this burrito was something special! I was having a serious craving for a breakfast burrito and LJ's delivered. They're located in a shack outside Home Depot. Lots of parking available. I ordered online since I heard the wait could be long and was quoted 20 minutes on a weekday morning. The OG breakfast burrito was massive! Yes, at $16, the price is quite steep. But I only ate half in the morning and have the rest for leftovers. Loved the crunch of the tator tots and the gooey cheese. It contained a good ratio of eggs and sausage as well. I tried the cilantro crema sauce and it tasted fresh and creamy. Will definitely be back next time!
Stopped by this spot next to Home Depot called LJ's Lil Cafe! The place is pretty small but super easy to find inside the Home Depot parking lot. I got The OG Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious and filling. I got the creamy cilantro as the sauce and it definitely enhanced the flavors. Highly recommend!
I've heard about this breakfast burrito for years. I finally decided to treat myself, and it was worth every bite! Located in front of Home Depot with a few tables in case you wanna eat there. Best breakfast burrito I've had in a long time. And the service was top notch. All staff is so incredibly friendly. My kinda establishment! The OG burrito is stuffed, and I mean stuffed with tater tots, Portuguese sausage, bacon, cheese, egg, LJ's sauce (mayo-based sauce) and it's insanely delicious. All the flavors and textures blend so well together. The veggie burrito, which I got without bell peppers, added bacon was also really good. Never thought of adding grilled onions in a breakfast burrito, and now it's gonna be the only way to breakfast burrito, SO good! There's a variety of salsas to choose from, the mild red salsa is very fresh and flavorful. The cilantro creama is creamy and delicious. These burritos are huge, y'all. It probably weighs 3 lbs each, so definitely come hungry. They also have a lunch menu with hot dogs and burgers, served after 11:30am. I'm definitely a fan of LJs and will be back for sure.
I came here to try the OG burrito, and it was seriously fire. Super flavorful and definitely lived up to the hype. If you go, make sure to get the creamy cilantro sauce it takes everything to another level. The setup is pretty low-key since it's more of a kiosk in front of Home Depot, but honestly it doesn't take away from the experience at all. The vibe is still chill, and the food speaks for itself. Service is pretty standard you order, pay, and they call your name when it's ready. It can get busy since the place is really popular, so I'd recommend going early if you want to make sure you get the burrito. Last time I went, the hours were around 7 AM to 1 PM, but that could've changed. Overall, a must-try spot if you're in the area especially for the OG burrito.
This is such an interesting find on Yelp! I definitely went to this Home Depot a couple of times not knowing that there was a breakfast burrito place right in front of it. We got the Spicy OG burrito and the LJ's Sammy. They both come with your choice of sauce. Unlike other places, they did not skimp out on sauce and it definitely lasted until the last bite of burrito. The LJ's Sammy was a decent breakfast sandwich. The LJ's sauce was definitely the star of the show. I wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. The burrito on the other hand was well made with perfectly crispy tots inside. The sausage was also flavorful and tender. Paired well with the mild salsa. The burrito was about $16 and Sammy was $12. It's a little bit on the more expensive side for burritos. Overall, it is still a good breakfast place to try when you're around the area!
On a whim, I found this little Cafe. It took me a couple passes through the parking lot to realize it's located in front of the Home Depot (HD) exit. Truly a great spot. I came for a breakfast burrito and it didn't disappoint. At a higher price point than I expected, it was very satisfying, filling, flavorful and enough for 2 meals. I was also told it would be about 10 minutes to prepare and it was ready within that time frame. Since it's in the Home Depot parking lot, parking is plenty. There were several others, like myself, who were just coming for food without stepping inside HD. They are only open until 2pm. I am usually not in the area til later in the afternoon, but I am keeping this place on my radar to return to when my schedule allows earlier in the day.
I remembered seeing this café on one of my IG reels and so when I was heading out of Home Depot, I had to order a breakfast burrito Got the spicy OG burrito with the medium spicy salsa Verde Brought it home and divided into two meals it is huge. Excellent ratios and just a well-balanced burrito probably one of my favorites on the list now. You can call ahead and they will take your order but I waited about 30 minutes before I got my order. No seats inside it's just a little food truck and a bunch of seats outdoors so you can take it to go. I really enjoyed this place.
Who knew this little burrito spot next to Home Depot would be such a hit! Came to pick up some breakfast burritos at 8 in the morning and this place was packed. Good thing we ordered ahead and they made that burrito quick; it was ready by the time we got there. My friend and I can finally say this is the best breakfast burrito spot we've had. In the words of one of my friends who responded to my story, "this place fuxxx." We both had the Spicy OG Breakfast Burrito with the green sauce. I wish it came with more than one green sauce because extra sauce was 50 cents more and I'm a saucy gal. If you think it's enough sauce, double it and give it to the next person (aka me). The burrito was so good - I could maybe do without sauce but that would be crazy and the closest psych ward is 10 miles away. However, the crispy tator tots, melted cheese, and spicy Italian sausage paired so well together that I might go off my meds and just have this instead. This one burrito served 3 meals for us so I can't complain.
My new favorite breakfast burrito spot in OC! But let me tell you, expect a wait. The Cypress location is unique in that it's basically a little shack in front of a Home Depot. There are two windows--one for ordering and one for picking up your food. They have a few tables outside, but if those are taken, then you'll have to take it to-go or stand next to some lumber or pots while you eat. I ordered online around 8:45, but it was a bit confusing because the system tells you it will only be a 30 minute wait, but the estimated pick up time they provided was an hour and a half later. Wasn't sure when I should arrive, so I went in between those times. Thankfully it was ready a little before the estimated arrival time. I overheard some other people talking saying that if you order in person at the window, the wait can sometimes be 2+ hours! That's a pretty long time to wait, but I will say that their burritos are good! We got the OG Breakfast Burrito that has eggs, tater tots, Portuguese Hawaiian sausage, bacon, mixed cheese, LJ's sauce, and a side of salsa. You can choose red or green salsa. We also got a Veggie Breakfast Burrito with 3 eggs, tater tots, grilled bell peppers, onions, grilled tomatoes, mixed cheese, LJ's sauce, and salsa. I also added crispy bacon. Both were flavorful, delicious, and had a nice variety of textures. They also have some other sauces like Hot Habanero Salsa and Creamy Cilantro Crema, so I'll definitely have to try those out next time. Overall, great breakfast burritos, but order with caution if you're on a time crunch.
Located outside the doors of Home Depot, this is a cool breakfast spot. There's a couple picnic tables out front but it's more of a to go style walk up. The get very busy in the weekends, at peak times they quoted is 1-2 hour waits for burritos! We went very early on the weekend and enjoyed a quick 15 min wait time. We ordered the OG burrito and LJ Sammy. OG burrito has delicious tator tots inside. The burrito was huge. So filling. The Sammy was "ok" you should get this if you can't handle a huge burrito. Highly recommend trying it and they do catering too!
10/10 -- Highly Recommend! LJ's Lil Cafe absolutely delivered. We ordered three different burritos, the OG, Spicy OG, and Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and every single one was a 10/10! The habanero sauce and LJ's sauce were my personal favorites, but honestly, it's hard to choose because all of the sauces are so good. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If I had to pick just one burrito, it would be the Spicy OG. We made one modification and swapped the Italian sausage for Portuguese sausage, and it was incredible. Packed with flavor and definitely worth ordering. Great food, great service, and a spot we'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!
Huge and delicious breakfast burritos!! I'd recommend to order online since I heard the wait can be long in person. This place is located in a Home Depot parking lot, so there's ample parking available. They do have a few tables outside their space to eat, but it's more of a grab and go, or eat in your car type of place. We ordered two OG breakfast burritos, but we definitely could've shared one. This was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had!! The tots are a nice touch and crunch, and they don't skimp on the eggs like some other places. I'd recommend to get their LJ's signature sauce on the side, and it comes with an extra salsa or sauce, and I chose the creamy cilantro crema. The two sauces paired well with the burrito and added another flavor profile. Will definitely be back!!

Burrito was incredible. It's probably the best I've had in LA. Ordered it ahead of time and when I got there it was ready. Tater tot's were also really good, crunchy but nice and warm in the inside. Staff were attentive! Would recommend to anyone who loves bfast burritos ! read more

finally got to try this famous breakfast burrito spot! i got the spicy OG with spicy habanero salad. i was told the wait could be up to 45 mins (on a Saturday around 11am), but it turned out to be only about 30 mins. the portion is huge, definitely could feed two people or one person for two meals. yummy! read more

I learned about this from an IG reel and they're right that it's pretty much an extension of Home Depot. It's between the entrance and exit of the store and not a standalone structure like I initially thought. I ordered the OG breakfast burrito and it was crispy and fresh. A bit salty, but that's to be expected with Portuguese sausage and tater tots. The salsa is not like the ones you get at taco shops. It's actual salsa, so be ready for that. The service was pretty solid and the food came out exactly 10 minutes like the cashier said. There are a couple picnic tables on the outside if you wanna eat it there. read more

LJ's Lil Café has the best burritos! Located at the front of Home Depot, this tiny little shack is growing in popularity. When they first opened, you would have to place your order and come back to pick it up. Now, they offer online ordering. The burritos are HUGE, they're perfect to share. So glad there's a new breakfast burrito spot that is just as worthy as Nick's Deli and Ham & Scram! They have two picnic tables where you can enjoy your meal nice and fresh. They are closed on Mondays but open Tues-Saturday from 7:30 am - 2:00 pm. Sunday's they're open from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Yummy burritos, and love that this place is by a Home Depot so there's plenty of parking! It's an unassuming small shack with a few picnic tables to eat at outside. I came here around 1pm on a Saturday and waited for my burrito for around 20 minutes. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was large enough to split it into two meals for me, which justified the price point of $15+. My partner ordered the OG Breakfast burrito with the sausage, which was also great. These burritos was salty, cheesy, crunchy from the tater tots, and overall very delicious! I also really enjoyed their salsas. I drove out around 30 minutes to check this place out and it was very much worth it! read more

LOOK AT THAT CHEESE PULLLLL. Any establishment that has tater tots in their burritos is automatically one of my favorite places. They understandably raised prices due to the egg shortage, but the quality was so good, and the salsa was a great addition to spice up the burrito. Heard about this place from a coworker and decided to check it out. This location is connected to the front of a home depot, so no need to think you went to the wrong parking lot. The staff was very nice and helpful when it came to ordering 5/5. I ordered the OG breakfast burrito which was $16 and got a side of the LJ's sauce. The hash browns were crispy and the cross section didn't appear greasy. After eating half of the burrito, I felt like it was a standard breakfast burrito. Everything that was listed for the burrito sounded great, but together it just didn't pack a punch in the flavor department leading to a 3/5. Side note: my friends burrito cheese didn't melt fully in the burrito. read more

Located outside a Home Depot, LJ's has really good breakfast burritos. We got the Spicy OG. The burrito came with tater tots inside and the egg was cooked slightly soft which I really liked. This spot is really popular so be prepared to wait a bit for your order. We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday morning. We killed time by going into Home Depot to grab a free things we needed for the house. There's a few outdoor benches you can sit at to eat. If you're craving a breakfast burrito, LJ's is a really good option. read more

**Disappointed--Twice Now. Not Worth the Hype or the Price.** This was my second time trying LJ's, but my first visit to the Cypress location. Unfortunately, it didn't redeem my first experience at their Orange location--and that's saying something. At the Orange location, I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito *without* the tortilla. They managed to make it--but forgot the eggs. Kind of a key ingredient in a *breakfast* burrito. I had to point it out myself. I also ordered the queso burrito with mixed cheese but was given Oaxaca cheese instead, which I specifically don't like. It made the whole thing pretty unpleasant. They did try to make it right by giving me a card for a free entrée, valid at either location. So, I decided to give the Cypress location a shot, hoping for a better outcome. I ordered the OG breakfast burrito with extra cheese and asked for the LJ sauce on the side, plus a side of their red salsa and an order of queso tots. I was told there'd be a 45-minute wait, which was fine--I ran to the grocery store and came back after about an hour. When I picked up the order, the cashier read it back to me and mentioned they had cut the burrito in half "to make it easier to eat," which I didn't ask for but could live with. She also confirmed the sauce on the side (even wrote "SOS" on the wrapper) and asked what salsa I wanted--red, which I got. But when I got home, there was *no* LJ sauce. That's what I had been excited to finally try, so it was a letdown. It was on the screen/ receipt, and even handwritten on the wrapper. If there was an extra charge for it, I would've gladly paid--just tell me. The queso tots were also a major disappointment. They were way overcooked--practically inedible, dry, and flavorless. You can see in the photos how burnt they were. As for the burrito itself, it was okay but overly stuffed with tater tots. I barely got any eggs until the bottom and there was hardly any sausage or bacon. It felt more like a potato burrito than a breakfast burrito, which wasn't what I paid for. To make matters worse, I called the location to report the missing sauce and the inedible tots, but they don't answer phones on weekends. You just get a recording that eventually hangs up. Not exactly great customer service. Overall, this was strike two for LJ's. Between the long waits, missing ingredients, poor quality control, and lack of customer service, I can't justify the price or the hype. I won't be back. read more

08/16/2024 Came here after a shooting session at FT3 Tactical in Stanton. They close at 2 pm is we had to rush over here. Sorry only a 3 star rating because I may have ordered the wrong burrito I got the Chorizo Burrito it was just okay nothing special but I liked the green chili sauce it had the right amount of spice and hotness. My brother got the OG Burrito he said it was 5 stars. So I'll try the OG Burrito next time and update this review. Staff was very friendly, they have 2 picnic benches to sit and eat. They are located right in front of the Home Depot. You can miss them right between the entrance and exit doors. read more

Finally stopped by this place and it def exceeded my expectations. Location is right outside Home Depot aka minimal seating. Waited about 25 minutes for my burrito since there were lots of online orders they needed to take care of. Super chill and sweet workers too. OG Burrito was so good! Good crunch from the tater tots and their house sauce was amazing! Theres lots of other toppings you can add on so we added some jalapeños to ours :) read more
LJ's has been on my list of places to try for the longest of times now, but it just kept slipping my mind until now. I love the idea of it being in the corner of a Home Depot. It's great. There was no line when I went up to order, but they did get busy shortly afterwards. You can also order online if you want to skip the line. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait too long for my order, 10 minutes max. And they do have two picnic tables there if you want to eat it fresh. I got the OG burrito with spicy salsa. Everything was cooked to perfection. The tater tots were super crispy and added a great crunchy texture to the burrito. The eggs were silky smooth, creamy and custardy, with the cheese perfectly melted in between the layers. The bacon added that animal fat and salty flavor. I couldn't really taste the sausage too much, but everything together was amazing. The salsa was refreshing and helped cut the grease. I'd definitely come back whenever I'm craving a breakfast burrito!! read more

I'm sorry but this place is overhyped and overpriced. OG burrito + tip came out to $20 and my burrito was 60% tater tots. Had to dump a bunch of sauce onto it cause it was pretty dry from the amount of tater tots it had :/ read more

First time coming here, was really excited because heard alot about this place. got the spicy burrito, in my opinion it was good, but i'm probably would try other meat options. the burrito had a good size too it, sauces were good and big but mine was a lot of potatoes. nonetheless I would come back and try other's. read more

LJ's deserves more hype, it's the best breakfast burrito that I've had. It's located in front of Home Depot and is definitely a local favorite. We tried two different burritos and both were amazing. The tater tots were so crispy and everything was rolled up into a best package. Each burrito comes with a side of salsa. You know food is delicious when it's still amazing when cold. I got the spicy OG with habanero sauce. The burrito itself is bigger than a brick. I was only able to eat half of it. Very heavy on the tater tots, but the tater tots were perfectly cooked. I wish there was a little bit more protein in there, but everything tasted good. The vibe that is going on there is great. The people that are working there/owners really treat you kind and professional almost like an In-N-Out type service. I would definitely go again. read more
