The perfect place to hit up after you've gone to the swap meet on the weekend or just getting supplies at Home Depot. Perfect as a solo destination to. I always get the veggie burrito with red and green sauce and roasted jalapeños. My mouth waters is just thinking of the glorious golden toasted burrito exterior and the succulent buttery eggs, hash brown nuggets, bell peppers and cheddar cheese. The portions big enough that I make two small meals from one fat burrito. They have 2 picnic benches save yourself a spot because you're not gonna want to wait and get home. I'm sorry but this place is overhyped and overpriced. OG burrito + tip came out to $20 and my burrito was 60% tater tots. Had to dump a bunch of sauce onto it cause it was pretty dry from the amount of tater tots it had :/ read more

I've been here multiple times and I get the OG breakfast burrito almost every time.. it's great.. the only down side is the price and it can be a bit too salty.. but it's a hefty burrito and should fill most up. Be sure to try the sauces; they are exceptional. The service is top notch and so friendly. I've only gone to the location attached and in front of the Home Depot so not much seating but plenty of parking. read more

First time coming here, was really excited because heard alot about this place. got the spicy burrito, in my opinion it was good, but i'm probably would try other meat options. the burrito had a good size too it, sauces were good and big but mine was a lot of potatoes. nonetheless I would come back and try other's. read more

LJ's deserves more hype, it's the best breakfast burrito that I've had. It's located in front of Home Depot and is definitely a local favorite. We tried two different burritos and both were amazing. The tater tots were so crispy and everything was rolled up into a best package. Each burrito comes with a side of salsa. You know food is delicious when it's still amazing when cold. I got the spicy OG with habanero sauce. The burrito itself is bigger than a brick. I was only able to eat half of it. Very heavy on the tater tots, but the tater tots were perfectly cooked. I wish there was a little bit more protein in there, but everything tasted good. The vibe that is going on there is great. The people that are working there/owners really treat you kind and professional almost like an In-N-Out type service. I would definitely go again. read more

This is my 3rd time here and this place gets better and better each time. I came here last year and got the spicy OG which was good, I really liked it. Last month I came back and got the queso burrito which I left a nice review last month. Today I went back after a morning shift at a school in Cypress and I decided to get my older brother and dad an OG and Veggie burrito. I went for the Chorizo Burrito and it is my FAVORITE!!! I told the lady taking my order I never tried the habanero salsa and creamy cilantro crema, so she threw some extra ones in so I could try them, which was very sweet of her. The habanero was spicy but like a good spicy and the cilantro was a cool refreshing taste that was an opposite to the habanero but delicious as well, with a nice cilantro taste. I also got some LJ's Signature Sauce which is my FAVORITE!!! I recommend this place for sure, best breakfast burritos I've had around the LA/OC county! The price is worth the quality of the burritos with 1 free sauce/salsa, which are huge 3.5 ounces and like people said the breakfast burritos are huge, filled with generous amounts of yummy ingredients. read more

I've been hearing all about this place on IG, decided to give it a try. Called ahead as was recommended by other visitors and picked up my order within 15 minutes. I tried the OG and Chorizo burrito, and both were easily some of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. They don't skimp on quality and quantity with the burrito. The hash browns inside were perfect to provide some texture, and the green spicy sauce was to die for. I came on a rainy morning so there was no line, but I've been around the area before and it can get real crowded, calling ahead was ideal. I will be coming back to try the other burrito options! read more

As a big breakfast burrito fan, I drove all the way here to try it because I've seen many people talked about it and even saw it's better than Nate's. When you tell me it's better than Nate's, you are put on the radar. Well, it's not better than Nate's lol. Not counting how far I had to drive, since driving to Nate's is also very far, it was only OK. I got the OG and the Queso. I had the OG fresh and although it was pretty good and VERY photogenic especially they help you cut in half already, it was overall just a little too salty for me. As for the queso(it might be a little unfair since I didn't eat this one fresh), although not as salty just felt kind of lackluster. I think I wouldn't mind getting it again if i was nearby but I would either have to try Spicy OG, or I would just get the OG burrito again. Also, didn't have to wait as I called in 30 mins earlier and I just arrived and paid and left. This was on a weekday though so be warned as idk how bad the wait can potentially be. read more

Finally tried their famous breakfast burrito. It's huge, flavorful, and definitely fills you up. I couldn't even finish the whole thing. It was solid overall: tasty, satisfying, and well-balanced. but it's nothing too impressive. That said, it's easily one of the better breakfast burritos you'll find in the OC area. Plus, the service is amazing -- super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby. read more

I've been wanting to try out their breakfast burritos for a while now after seeing them on social media and omg they did NOT disappoint! I got the OG and chorizo burrito with LJ's signature sauce and they were soo good (and huge)! The crunch from the tater tots, the onions, and the flavorful, fluffy egg were the best! Visited this lil cafe on a weekday morning. There was no line, ample parking (it's located alongside the outer wall of Home Depot, so it's a shared parking lot), and service was quick. After placing my order for the Queso Breakfast Burrito, it was ready in about 15 minutes. My first reaction of the burrito was about its size: it was large, and they cut it in half which is a great idea because I could only finish half for a meal. When I had initially seen the price of the burrito I was a bit perplexed at why it was so expensive, but it makes sense considering it's the size of 2 burritos. My second thought was the texture: the tater tots' exterior became a mush, so the mouth feel was just one-note. Not sure if it's because I didn't eat it right away, but by the time I was eating it, I was picking some of the tater tots off my meal. It was a good burrito overall, but not my favorite. I'm hoping to visit again and try a different item after readjusting my expectations because I had read that this is one of the best breakfast burritos in OC. read more

I've always wanted to try the hot dogs here so I stopped by after 11:30. I ordered the Chicago and LA dog. The Chicago dog was excellent with the hot dogs, tomato, pickle, relish, onion, mustard, and peppers all went together. The bun was excellent and didn't fall apart as you kept eating the hot dog, the LA dog was just as good as the hot dog, bacon, ketchup, mustard, mayo, grilled onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños are like the hot dogs you would get from the carts after watching a concert or sporting event late at night. The portions were generous and the quality of how the buns and ingredients went together as the hot dog still held together as you kept eating it. read more

I've had this on my list to try for over a year. I'm so happy. Both the Queso burrito and the OG burrito were so good. The tater tots are so crunchy. The crunch was amazing. But it wasn't overly crunchy were just taste like a chip. The salsa was so delicious. You could tell it was actual ingredients that came together to make the salsa. They said the Verde was hot. But it was perfection. It was not spicy at all. The queso burrito. It was by far the more delicious one. The queso just makes it's so good and so creamy. I'm also glad I didn't order it. The two bites that I had were enough. I feel like I probably would've gotten overwhelmed with it being too decadent. But my boyfriend tore it up. I got the OG. Every bite had a perfect ratio of egg and cheese and meat and tater tot. I feel like this burrito was good on its own. But it also was the perfect vehicle to showcase each of those salsas. Man, I'm a happy camper Just a note, these burritos are massive. I'm currently in a food coma on the couch. And I only had half of my burrito. My boyfriend only had half of his burrito. The burritos are served cut in half. I encourage you to share. Or don't. Because my leftovers are gonna be bomb....I already can't wait. Then why not a 5? I guess for me. I give five stars for those places I would drive over an hour to get. They are the places that I harass people to go and try. You better believe every time I'm in the area I'm gonna get this burrito. My coworkers said their burrito had lots of eggs n it was balanced out with other ingredients. 2 stars cuz their salsas were really good. Otherwise it would be zero for me. I've eaten a lot of burritos in my 50+ years, more than I care to admit, especially to my doctor. I've traveled the world, ventured into street markets, tucked into taco trucks, and chased down culinary legends in dusty little towns. And yet, nothing, nothing has come close to the queso burrito at LJ's. This burrito? It's not just food. It's a life event. It's like a warm hug from someone who really knows what you've been through. I genuinely can't think of a single way to make it better. Believe me, I tried. Man o' man, so glad we found this place!! Food is sooo delicious and packed with flavor! I do tend to switch out the LJs sauce out for the salsa verde, but that's only because I love salsa verde. I haven't actually tried the LJs sauce. Service is great! Takes a little long to get food at times but it's for good reason - they are busy!! They have some benches you can sit at outside their unit but I usually take it to go because they're so busy and don't have seats. I do have to say that when I was driving home from work I saw that they have a brick and mortar opening up (or open) off the 5fwy near UCI in Orange! That's super exciting for them! Hope they (will) have longer hours! read more

Ok it was definitely a fluke of a day! I am so glad we went back today and it's 1000% better! We got the OG and the spicy burrito. Flavor is packed and good ratio of egg, meats, and tots! The LJs sauce was so good mixed with the green salsa! Service is great. Came exactly at 9 and didn't have to wait. I found this place to be overpriced and really very disappointing. From the first time to the second time, the wait time is ridiculous. The amount of time you have to wait to get your food and the quality is not what everyone talks about. Tater tots are not hash browns. I will not give them another go, from the overpriced and small burritos to the fact that it is just a to go joint, unless you want to sit at a picnic table outside of Home Depot. I first thought this would be a great idea to order my food and then grab what I needed from Home Depot, then grab the food on the way out and head home. 2 birds 1 stone. Save yourself some time and order a breakfast burrito at your Local burger joint, cheaper, bigger and really better quality. Not to mention a whole lot faster. If you're going to go for the foodie time place for hipsters then this is the right place. read more

Best breakfast burrito in LA. Been 10x since my last review and the song remains the same. Fresh, moist, and delicious. Wake n late and cafe los feliz don't stand a chance here boys. Hardest part is trying to choose a sauce, I opt for the verde, but every option is great. Customer service is 10/10. I had a bit of a hard time finding LJ's since I do not know the area. It is a small walk-up kiosk right in front of Home Depot. Very glad I persisted in finding it. I got a breakfast burrito that was delicious. Somewhat expensive, but large and fresh. Two-meals worth of great BK burrito, which is good at any time of the day or night. The service was friendly and efficient. They had plenty of customers, so my burrito took 15 minutes to prepare. I shopped at Home Depot while waiting. read more

I have no idea how they make the best burrito in a little tiny shed next to Home Depot but they do it! The OG burrito is our go to order and we get it with extra salsa because it levels it up even higher than it already is. You know that cheese pull image everyone wants? Yeah, these burritos do that. Highly recommend ordering online and picking it up when it's ready. This place is super popular for a reason and the wait is pretty gnarly sometimes. And when they have the kids activity at Home Depot, parking is pretty hard to find. But seriously, all worth it. The burritos are super heavy/hefty and it filled you up! Figured I try this place out after all the reviews on it I've seen on Instagram and recommendations from other people. While the prices were high (about $17/burrito with tax) it was worth that price. I got the OG burrito with the OG sauce. From opening up the wrapping to the initial smell, you could tell it was a higher quality burrito that would stand out. The size of the sauce was a nice change. They actually give you enough in 1 compared to every other place where you need like 4 to get the whole burrito covered. The taste was very very good. A top 2 burrito for me. My friends who got the same thing said it was perfection and the best they've ever had. Coming back 100% read more

In a quest to find the best breakfast burrito, I have gone to many a places and left with much to be desired. LJ's fulfills all that has been missing. First off, I'm in love with the fact that they use Portuguese Sausage as a the protein of choice. For those that grew up, or visited Hawaii a lot, know how much This and SPAM are ESSENTIAL to breakfast on the islands. Every time I go there, my luggage is full of Portuguese Sausage and Coffee. Chocolate Covered Macadamia nuts take a back seat! My friend who recommended this spot said "call your order in, its about a 30 min wait" which was perfect because Irvine to Cypress is about 25 minutes. The person who took my order was super nice... the person who rung me up was super nice, and lastly the gentlemen who handed me my order was dope too.. So this place got good food, and great customer relations? I love it. Burritos are huge, and its not just hash browns. In fact their potato of choice is a tater tot. WIN. Everything was so rich. I ordered the Sammies, OG, Spicy OG, and Queso to try with some friends... and will eventually try the Chorizo and Veggie. Salsa (verde = hot, rojo = mild) was nothing to write home about, but you can't eat a burrito without Salsa. Can't speak for their lunch item menu, though it doesn't look half bad. I just know that if I'm willing to drive 30 minutes for this breakfast burrito... it must be a damn good burrito! read more

Stopped by LJ's Lil' Cafe while running errands in the area and didn't expect much beyond a quick breakfast, but it ended up being a solid find. It's set up in the Home Depot parking lot, so definitely easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We ordered the Spicy OG Breakfast Burrito, LJ's Breakfast Sammy, the LA Dog, and the queso tots. The Spicy OG breakfast burrito was probably the best one I've had recently in the OC -- good size, filling, and the flavors worked really well together. The queso tots were also really good and easy to share. The LJ's Sammy was solid, especially with their sauce, and the LA Dog was a nice extra if you're in the mood for something different. They have a couple of picnic tables, but most seem to order for takeout as we did too. Overall, it's a great spot to keep in mind if you're nearby and want a reliable breakfast. I'd come back to try more of the menu. read more

Based in the reviews, im sure this eas ine of those days .. we ordered 2 breakfast burritos online. When I opened mines the burritos tasts so good .. BUT it seemed it was drowning in oil. I tried to co tinue to eat it but the more I took bites the more oil I tasted. You can see the outside of the burrito is completely saturated with oil we ended up tossing the burrito. $39 down the drain but 3 stars only because i believe this was just one of those bad days. Oh wow. I've lived in Cypress for years and live around the corner from this spot and have been sleeping on it!! Better late than never though! There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.
