Visited Local Cafe again after so long, the food is still delicious, big portion and reasonably priced. Shrimp in egg drop sauce chow fun was excellent, full of wok hei and served in a big portion large enough for the two people. The salted pepper fried chicken wings were crispy outside and juicy inside, but the portion was a bit small. Red bean milk tea was great too. Overall, it was another satisfying visit.

Highly recommended Best of best off-hk style Café restaurant with many hk light Cantonese & hk western dishes with slightly modified tastes. They have an abundance of hk style 茶餐廳 menu items but don't expect hk style taste. But, even with modified taste delivery, they tasted great! I often come to this other Cantonese restaurant for roast chicken and roast duck. The food tastes good, fresh, and pretty authentic.

Authentic Cantonese hk style dishes. Came here for lunch at around 12:15 pm on a Tuesday . Place was packed but service was kind and quick. There was only one server and she handled it well! They have a lunch rice plate special where you choose two items for $10.99 or three items for $12.99. Delicious and portions are generous! It's perfect for To-go bento or dine-in ( includes free soup) We chose a a rice plate with chili fish and cabbage vegetables and another rice plate with pork string bean and bok choy. They have a variety of dishes that you can choose from near the counter. We also ordered a baked seafood cream sauce with spaghetti and it was one of the BEST we've ever tasted. A must-try! Will be back to try the rest of the menu!

I don't know why this place has only 3 stars! Solid spot for good, affordable Chinese food. The food here really hits the mark -- tasty, fast, and generously portioned, especially for the price. Everything came out quickly and piping hot, which is perfect if you're hungry and don't want to wait forever. Portion sizes are huge, easily enough for leftovers, and the prices are hard to beat for the quality you're getting. This is definitely one of those reliable neighborhood spots where you know you'll leave full without spending much. If you're looking for quick, satisfying Chinese food that won't break the bank, this place delivers. Would absolutely come back.

Nice affordable Chinese food! There was only 1 server but we still got our food rather quickly. The shrimp chow fun was delicious and in such big portion! Shared between 2 people and still had a lottt of leftover. Chicken wings came in 6 pieces and were not as flavorful, needed some salt. Red bean ice was nice and not too sweet.

My daughter and I went on a Saturday noon for lunch. It is located across Costco where a lot of Asian restaurants are so the parking lot was packed . We went in and were immediately greeted and seated . It was nicely decorated and spacious inside with lots of tables. They were quite busy. After ordering, it took at least 15-20 Minutes for our food to arrive. We've ordered fried tofu (which is super crunchy )Bbq Pork char siu rice plate ( with fried egg and steamed veggies) and Hainan Chicken rice plate. Both rice plates came with lemon ice tea which is delicious. Char siu was and fried tofu was delicious but the hainan chicken which took the longest to arrive was bland compared to other dishes. I would definitely come back for the char siu and to try other things but definitely not ordering the Hainan chicken again.

Great food, great services, reasonable prices! For lunch, they have lunch special for two items or three items, $10.99/ $12.99, with house made soup (self service).

Super cozy spot and the food was really good. The milk tea tasted more like it was premade than fresh though. Still, I'd come back again.

Food: The Hainan Chicken is pretty good with portion of chicken (black meat), rice and chicken soup. I'd say the black meat's meat and skin ratio is not too ideal but acceptable. The Beef in Egg Drop Sauce is very much recommended! It's a big portion, it's enough for 2 or even 3 to share! The Hot and Sour Soup is not the traditional flavor, so I wouldn't recommend to people who are looking for the light texture or Taiwanese style. Service: the staff is nice though they are very busy. We were lucky enough to sit by the service station, so we grabbed our own chopsticks and takeout boxes instead. Ambiance, casual but viby at the same time. It's very comfortable. We see family and friends groups dining here at the time we were there and they have high chair with round table as well.

*LOCATION* This hong-kong style restaurant is located in the same plaza as Pearl Bay and a several other eateries. Parking is terrible during peak hours and can take a long time to find a spot unless you get lucky. *WAIT TIME* We visited on a Saturday ~2pm and there was no wait. There were only a few tables occupied likely because it was past prime lunch time. The waiter was quick to serve us water and take our orders. *FOOD* -HK milk tea: tasted good, not too sweet -Preserved egg & pork porridge: v big portion, decent amount of egg/pork, the congee itself was not enough salt/flavor IMO so kinda bland tasting -Salty fish & Chinese sausage clay pot: takes ~25 min to come out, protein was v salty, rice was hard/undercooked??, not a fan :( *SERVICE* The waiters were nice and attentive during our meal. They mostly spoke Mandarin but English was ok too. No complaints about service here! *AMBIENCE* Overall, the interior is pretty nice and more modern-looking than the typical Chinese restaurant. There is a stage inside where it looks like it could be used for karaoke. The menu items are pretty pricey though so not sure if we'd be eating here often...

First all.. I love that they open late. Everything we ordered was yummy! Fresh and flavorful. Service so nice and fast. Ambiance is casual and cute inside. Great little spot.

It sounds like you went on quite a sweet culinary adventure. Fresh mango with black sticky rice sounds like heaven! And Hong Kong-style French toast? Egg waffle with ice cream? Yum. Interesting choice with the cilantro garnish, though. Maybe it's their twist on dessert presentation. Service is quick, they also offered all you can drink soup if you have dinner in the restaurant. Ambiance is causal, love the deco inside.

West Lake Beef Soup. Lots of meat and nicely balanced flavor of the scallions, tofu, egg, and beef.

    What time is karaoke time?

Do they still have outdoor seating?

Is the recent operating hours change temporary? It's strange for a Hong Kong cafe to not have afternoon tea hours on the weekends ...

I went to today and they are indeed only open for dinner now. I'm not sure why though.

I tried calling them a few times but they are not picking up their calls. Are they still open?

They are open. However, their open hours are different from Yelp. I think they open at 11AM and closes at 9PM.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.
