So I've been living nearby and coming in for over a year now and this place is still great. There's still nothing bad on the menu. I usually get the falafel pita these days. The young lady that's usually working the front on weekdays is very friendly and helpful as are the rest of the staff. The pastries are good as ever. The breakfast sandwich, pastrami melt, etc that I mentioned are still great. They actually changed the pastrami melt into a sandwich which is a vast improvement on an already great item in my opinion. It's one of my favorite spots to get breakfast/lunch in all of LA. I recommend coming on weekdays though because the weekends are very busy (for obvious reasons!). read more

Finally decided to give these guys a shot and was not disappointed . First off I'd like to shoutout the amazing and kind staff who helped me out today when I came in! They were so helpful and nice and they were fast! Really kind staff here and makes it so good. I ordered the Nutella croissant, guava croissant, and the Ricotta toast. The Nutella croissant was delicious as it was flakey and had the perfect amount of Nutella filling inside, it wasn't overpowering and thick but just the perfect amount to taste and accompany the croissant. The guava croissant was also very delicious, the guava filling inside was a good surprise as I was expecting a creamy milky filling but it was a jelly filling instead. It was perfectly Sweet but I wish it had more of a distinct guava taste it tasted more like any other kind of fruit jelly. The ricotta toast was alright in comparison to the croissants, the bread was toasted almost too much? It was incredibly hard and stiff to eat, making it difficult to eat because the bread wouldn't break and it was difficult even with a knife ! The proportion of jelly to ricotta for the bread is also a bit off as ricotta was spilling with each bite. Overall a really good experience cant wait to come back again to try the food, might have to skip the toast though. Prices were also a bit steep but generally reasonable read more

I was a fan of the former Hasiba in this spot, and came often during the pandemic for possibly the world's best pita: still steaming and warm from the oven, chewy, with its earthy whole wheat flavor. Everything I loved from Hasiba remains in this new incarnation--but with a refreshed space and expanded menu. Living in this neighborhood, I am overjoyed. It is the perfect spot for lunch in the work day, with delightful, attentive staff who remember names of regulars, and serve up generous plates of vibrant, healthy fare, from heaping chopped salads, to the over-stuffed "fat pita" (a personal favorite) and excellent cured salmon. The loaves (any) are truly amazing. But also: their falafel sandwich is incredible. Delicious. Humongous. The falafel are as good as anywhere in LA. The sandwich is really for one person who is massively hungry and has not eaten in two days! It is two to three times a typical falafel pita. Also the pita they use is thick and delicious. read more

I loved Hasiba and would stop by often to buy hummus and their pillowy pita bread. They still carry a lot of those products and their bread is delicious. We had lunch there last weekend and the falafel was huge. One cut in half is definitely enough for two people. I have always tried to support my local businesses but this place has messed up my order EVERY time I have ordered from them. 1st visit (over 1 year ago): I ordered a chopped salad with chicken over the phone. When I went to pick it up they told me that they were out of chicken so they just made it with turkey. 2nd visit: I ordered a cinnamon roll to go and when I got it home it was so burnt that it was inedible. 3rd visit: I ordered a Baguette sandwich over the phone. When I went to pick it up they told me that they said that they were out of baguettes. Why didn't they tell me over the phone that they were out of baguettes?!?! 4th visit: I ordered a cinnamon roll and breakfast sammie and when I went to pick it up they said that they were out of cinnamon rolls. 5th (and final visit): I ordered a chopped salad with turkey to go and when I got home there was no turkey on the salad. We arrived about 2pm and fortunately got a table inside, (only three inside) and it was too cold to eat eat al fresco so, we lucked out. Three of us had the Shakshuka, it comes in a little cast iron pan sizzling hot, like lava. Discovered Lodge at the Beverly Hills Farmer's Market, where they would sell out of their amazing wheat and artisan breads. Now I order them via their Toast app. Heavenly. Not as much of a fan of their pastries, to be honest, but that's probably because I have more pedestrian tastes and their odd cream-cheese-esque icing on the cinnamon rolls is waaayyy fancier than I am. I really do love this place, however we recently had an order that was not up to snuff. we picked up lunch and brought it back to the office. the tuna sandwiches were filled half way with lettuce so it made them difficult to eat. further because we requested toasted bread, it made it more difficult. I understand that ordering a pizza for take out diminishes its "eatability". whereas the dough was incredible, the slices that were made at the restaurant didn't go all the way through the dough so we needed to find a kn life to cut it through the dough. But the roasted potatoes were awful. whatever potatoes were used were mealy and chalky tasting. I gave three stars because I really do like this place, but this time it was ugh!!! read more

We are visiting from Vegas and wanted to try some local spots. I found this little spot on tiktok and decided to give it a try. The environment is so comforting, they instantly asked us if we wanted a menu. One of the servers actually took time to educate us on how the bread is prepared and that it's gluten free. Which I was hesitant about because i've never had gluten free bread and let me just say it was soooooo good. He also told us about the coffee grounds and where they are sourced from because I shared with him that this is the best coffee i've had! My mother has been drinking coffee for years from all over the world and this was 10/10 she absolutely loved the coffee. It's not easy going and trying new places but this place had such a big impact on our trip, we will be coming back to this place whenever we are in LA. The server was so sweet he took his time to ensure that we were enjoying the food!! We did not get his name but he was very attentive and kind, hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Sadly I felt compelled to write this review. I am not a crazy yelp person that enjoys leaving negative reviews because I don't want to hurt a business. However, this is the second time that I have ordered through Uber eats delivery from lodge Bread . I pretty only much order the chopped salad with albacore tuna. I love this salad. The first delivery came and the portion size of the scoop of tuna was much smaller than previous times I walked in and ordered it. I thought maybe they were running low and i just blew it off. Today, thanksgiving day I was so looking forward to this salad because it's all I was going to eat today. The salad was delivered and to my astonishment the scoop of tuna was literally a little larger than a teaspoon, 2 bites...that's it. I called and spoke to the manager and asked what is going on and he said that the owner is mandating that size. I get it, I know food costs have risen but it was honestly ridiculous. Sadly, I don't think I will order again from Lodge. I do believe that if the owner saw the amount I was given they would also agree that the portion size was not fair. read more
