One of my colleagues just recently switched to a Keto diet, so I have been looking for new lunch options. I didn't realize we were a very heavy carb lunch diet before. I have driven past Logan's plenty of times, but never stopped in. Today for lunch we gave them a try, the best part is still their yeast rolls. Because my co-worker didn't eat any, I ended up with 3! They also do the bucket of peanuts, that he was able to eat. I had the turf and turf which comes with a steak, I recommend ordering 1 level rarer than what you actually want. It also came with a half rack of ribs, 1 side (corn for me), a small cup of coleslaw and a slice of watermelon. Everything was delicious, my only complaint was the steak was overcooked. I just wanted a nice steak, baked potato, salad, and dinner rolls . So I ordered takeout from this location. Absolutely HORRIBLE! The steak had absolutely no flavor and tasted sort of boiled YUCK! my baked potato was not a loaded potato as I had ordered and PAID EXTRA FOR, the salad was pretty good, and my yeast rolls were hard as a rock! We came here with the in laws for a late lunch today. I've heard of Logan's Roadhouse but had never been to one. It's very similar to a Texas Roadhouse in a lot of ways. The décor and peanuts is the same, but it's not quite as loud as Texas Roadhouse. They serve really excellent yeast rolls that are fresh from the oven, but used a whipped butter without flavoring- still quite enjoyable. Our table was comfortable and since we had a round one there was plenty of room for everything. I thought their menu being in the shape of a bucket of peanuts was a nice touch. My sweet tea was pretty good, no one complained about the drinks and the very busy server managed to keep our drinks full. We ordered the chips and queso for $4.99. They do not advertise it as such, but the queso is spicy. I found the chips thick and pretty tasty, but also greasy. The queso got spicier as you went making it a big hit with my husband and his parents but less so with me. That's okay, they kept me supplied with rolls. In looking at the menu, the offerings are similar but the prices seem higher for lesser quality cuts of meat. I do appreciate that they offer seafood options as well, like lobster tail, because a lot of steakhouses do not. Both my father in law and I got the sirloin, different sizes and cooks but we both found it tough and chewy. I also noticed mine was half a temp under. This actually isn't an issue. I often order my steak more well in case it gets done under. I found my mac and cheese to be very watery but my baked potato was very good. The husband likes the loaded fries and my mother in law thought the mashed potatoes were alright. The experience was good, we had a good time and we had a server who was working really hard. I liked our server but I felt they should have two servers working such a large area. She did a good job but it isn't fair in my opinion that she had to work so hard to cover so many tables. Overall, the meal was fine and we left full. However, I am a fan of steakhouses and felt the quality of cuts and sides versus the price they charge resulted in a lower value. My in laws had never been to a Texas Roadhouse so the theme was the first they had seen and besides my father in law finding the steak a bit tough, they seemed to really like it. So I suppose you would have to decide which of those two categories you fall into to decide how you feel about it. In truth, it was 3 1/2 star experience but we can't rate in half stars. Since quality of food and value are important to me, that's why the rating is at 3 stars. Not a bad place at all and if someone wanted to meet up here, I would have no qualms about it and probably try to filet to see if it's more tender. If it's up to me though, there are other places in the area I am more excited to return to or try. read more

Disgusting. Terrible cuts of meat with no sear and little to no flavor at all. I had the NY strip, medium rare. The steak texture was as if it was boiled and there was no color to the exterior. My husband and I were very disappointed. On a brighter note, the sides were good. I had brocolli and a sweet potato. My husband had mashed potatoes and a house salad. The rolls were good too. But, we didn't think the sides and rolls would be the highlight of our meal. This is the best casual restaurant steakhouse going. When it comes to consistently good quality steaks at a fair price, Logan's always delivers. No, it's not a high end chop house so don't expect chateaubriand but their top sirloins, strips and filets are always well seasoned, cooked to the right temperature and reasonably tender. The salads and sides are always tasty and the yeast rolls are amazing! Way better than that other Roadhouse chain. They have a good drink menu and the service has always been prompt, friendly and courteous. We have a picky teenage daughter and when we can't agree on anything else, she and we love to come here because hey, it's steak! read more

I don't know what it is about Logans... it's okay... but it's never my first pick when going out to eat. My mom wanted to go here, so she wins every time. The rolls are fantastic... warm, yeasty, pillowy in texture.. they melt in your mouth with carbolicious satisfaction. Then my 8oz sirloin and baked potato came out. Potato was on the smallish side. They charged me an extra 99 cents because I asked for butter, cheese and bacon. Trust me, I wasn't expecting Perry's or Pappas Steakhouse quality, but I've dined at Texas Roadhouse on occasion, and am always surprised at how good their sirloin is. I was expecting something of at least that quality. The sirloin here is ... tough ... very chewy (yes, I was cutting it in the correct direction) ... not very beefy or flavorful. Dare I say it, almost bland in taste. I actually tasted more salt from the seasoning on the meat, than meaty goodness. I always get my steak medium-rare. It was cooked properly. I can't say that I would ever say "Hey, let's go eat at Logans", but I could find something on the menu if I were outvoted on where to eat. But the rolls, fantastic. read more

Hadn't been here in a while and now they have sliders that are made with the infamous rolls, as buns. I thought I was being good by not pestering the server for rolls, since they came a part of my mini burgers, but...I wound up inhaling three, before my associates even knew that they were on the table. If my review was solely based on service Logan's would have 5 stars. Our waitress was awesome. When it comes to the actual food, all I can say is eh. I honestly never choose to go to Logan's on my own. Whenever I've gone there it's usually because someone else chose it. If I'm craving steak, Logan's just doesn't do it for me. I ordered my steak cooked medium and unfortunately it was pretty dry and clearly over cooked. My mashed potatoes had no flavor at all. The best part of my meal was the free rolls and the zucchini fries. One of my friends ordered the fillet and shrimp and her shrimp looked like small salad shrimp on a skewer. I personally prefer Saltgrass or Texas Roadhouse over Logan's any day of the week. read more

Let me say that the only saving grace was our server Davey who was polite and attentive, so I made sure to tip 25%. Especially after speaking with him about how the things in the restaurant business were slowing down. But I was rather disappointed with the amount of time it took to get our food and poor quality of our food. My boyfriend ordered the rib an chicken dinner where I chose to order the NY strip dinner. When our food arrived the plates were hotter than the food itself. My steak was lukewarm at best my baked potato looked like it had been heated more then once or perhaps for too long because the skin was tough an a cm or 2 into the potato was overcooked an dry. My NY strip steak though cooked as requested medium, was dry an tough. My boyfriends ribs had the worst of it because it was as if they took hot sauce an smeared it on cold ribs an burnt it on the grill. The meat on the rib was hard an cold an even though we sent it back it came back with the same poor quality. The service, well you feel like you are dinning at Denny's. My Logan steak was cooked well done one half and medium well on the other. I requested Medium. They did offer a remake, but I was not dinning by myself. So I ate it. People do seem to enjoy themselves, because it looked like repeat business. Not for me! Thanks! I got the chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese. Everything looked and tasted like it came from a freezer! Nothing tasted fresh or flavorful. Even the rolls were bland. Alright so I came into this not expecting much.. It's a roadhouse so I definitely didn't come into it expecting fancy and that's definitely how you should look at it cause you're paying for what you get! The location is off 290 - sucks cause it's right in the middle of construction but it is what it is and the construction has nothing to do with the restaurant. There's plenty of parking which is a huge plus and you're greeted by a hostess immediately upon entering. The restaurant is decently clean - there are peanut shells on the floor and maybe a few crumbs in the booth from previous customers but it's expected. The server came up to us right away with water and took our drink orders.. She was fairly quick and got everything right. Always a plus! The food was surprisingly decent - the shrimp and grits balls were crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful on the inside. Came with a sauce and was pretty good! I would suggest more shrimp in the batter but other than that, I'd order it again. The watermelon margarita was a little too sweet and tart for my taste - maybe needs a little more watermelon flavor and a bit for tequila. It was a large glass and I don't think I felt anything but full and how sweet/tart it was after drinking it. I also got the 6oz filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. It was nice and juicy with a pink/red center. The sautéed mushrooms were a bit too salty but the mash potatoes and brown gravy was good. Exactly as expected. We also ordered the small little sampler of desserts - the peanut butter, the molten chocolate with cookie crumbs and the strawberry cheesecake. They were all really sweet and rich but had good flavors. I think my favorite was the chocolate cause it had some crunch to it. The peanut butter was also smooth and rich. I tasted the moonshine BBQ glaze and it was sweet and pretty delicious! Reminded me of a sweet Hawaiian glaze - would recommend adding this to a steak or salmon if you like a different flavor but my filet was good on its own as well! Four of went in to Logan's on October 20, 2021. One ordered the shrimp and Salmon. She loved it. I ordered the grilled shrimp, had 12 pieces which were very small and not very tasty. They looked pale in color but I didn't turn them back. The other 2 people had steak. Both did not like it. The first was not cooked correctly, should have been cooked medium but was well done. The fourth person had a steak that had no taste. Both of the steak dinners were not finished were taken home for the dog to eat. At least they steak eaters were given a piece of cheese cake to share since they waitress saw they were not happy. We won't be going back to this restaurant. read more

Unfortunately, that same visit ended miserably! Walked out to find out someone broke into my car...took my computer bag. Someone was watching us because they saw me hide it, and went directly to the side it was hiding on. It's okay, though. I guess someone has a struggle bigger than me and finds the need to steal things; for what reason I don't know. Karma always has a way of showing up. So, here is the warning, folks...The outside cameras DO NOT work! Had to call their Corp. office to finally get a hold of someone, only to be told they never turned them back on as of March '2020! Yes! You read it. The cameras don't work!! Told by the VP, Mr. Scott. Also, keep in mind these people (criminals) drove all down Hwy. 290 to break in other vehicles...The reason I know is because they dropped my computer bag at another break-in scene. Again, I guess they struggle in life, but I think we all are this year. So, be aware of who is watching. Be aware that this place has no working cameras. Leave your computers at home. I know we work hard for what we have, but for someone to steal what we work so hard for is unfair. Be safe, folks. Be healthy and take care of each other. At the end of the day the enemy will always try to win. We can't allow that. Everyone has a struggle, but for those who are strong, we hold on and try to conquer above.
