Best ice cream ever! We've been going here for years and I have several favorites. I love that they use natural, local and organic ingredients. And I love their thoughtful interpretation of old favorites or new flavor combinations. Their Lemon Bar ice cream is delicious and tangy with nice chunks of bar cookie crumbled throughout. Strawberry Marscapone is smooth & fruity. My current favorite is their Cookies & Cream, maybe it's that the ice cream contains the butter cream they make. Their waffle bowls are freshly made and so good too. Side note - I also love their artwork. It used to be done by one of the employees. Keep an eye on their Instagram for their ice cream for breakfast day. Went on Saturday. Zeke was amazing! I went with a girl friend and he was very attentive. While me and my friend were talking about flavors to one another Zeke was already prepared with samples of the flavors without us having to ask. I grabbed a few pints and ended up going for a cup of the pineapple sorbet as well instead of ice cream because I had a sudden change of mind when I saw the sorbet. He asked if I've had it before from there and I said no, but you can't go wrong with pineapple. So, he went ahead and brought me a sample and said just incase try it. He was really sweet and all the different flavors were wonderful. I would definitely recommend the honey comb which has perfect hints of honey, the banana cream pie, and of course the pineapple sorbet/dole whip! read more

MY FAVORITE. I have to actively stop myself from coming here on a daily basis. Kinda pissed off the hubby when I was spending $50/week on ice cream cause it's so damn good. Saltine Dream is the bees knees and midnight oolong is delightful. Those are two flavors you can get anytime. They also have rotating flavors that are amazing. The mint cardamom (I don't remember the exact name of it but those were the flavors) was unlike anything I've ever had. Don't hesitate to try samples, but just know, it'll only make the decision harder because you won't be able to narrow it down. They also have different flavor buttercakes. My husband loves the vanilla and I'm a fan of churro. The cookies are also fantastic. You can take the dough home and bake them yourself! This is a fantastic little ice cream shop located within a very tiny strip mall with a tight parking lot. They make their ice cream in-house and offer a dozen or so unique flavors. I purchased two scoops in a bowl: burnt caramel and vanilla whiskey. I appreciated the use of biodegradable cups and spoons used. The burnt caramel was excellent and is now one of my favorite ice cream flavors. The caramel and smokey flavors combine for a bold & satisfying taste sensation. The whiskey flavor in the vanilla scoop was a bit too muted; I would have liked it slightly more prominent. I also tried a bottled root beer which was good (Maine Root Beer - a more gentle flavor than most). I appreciated being offered a glass of ice to pour it into on this hot day. Staff here were exceptionally welcoming and cheery. Pricing is on the high side for this cold treat but worthwhile for superb ice cream craftsmanship. read more

Interesting flavors, homemade ice cream. Came here for dessert after a nice dinner. This place was very busy even on a weekday. We were able to sample some of the interesting seasonal flavors before making a decision. I got a scoop of the almond brittle and fennel seed, both very unique flavors. With my Yelp check in I was able to get a free topping. Score! And of course I got candied bacon. Can you really go wrong with bacon? Service was nice. I discovered this place during quarantine and was so glad I did. Their ice cream is reallllly good! Tons of unique flavors, definitely very sweet. Loved the blueberry donut with chunks of actual donuts in the ice cream. The crispy marshmallow was also good but tasted different than I expected. I've also tried the boysenberry crumble which was really good and the strawberry mascarpone was just OK...that flavor was not worth the price to me. One word, yummy. They have 2 locations. They make the ice cream in house at this location, so it's fresh. You select your "container," then your flavor. I had one scoop of burnt caramel on a sugar cone. It was delicious and nicely creamy, and it cost $3.75. They have a bunch of other flavors though, and they are happy to let you sample all of them before you make your selection. It's a new location, so the shop is super clean. They have seating, so you can eat your ice cream there. They sell pints of prepackaged ice cream for a little under $12. My friend was talking about Long Beach Creamery all weekend long, he would not stop talking about it. After howlin rays on Sunday we ended up going because we had horrible tummy aches from all the acid buildup. The parking lot here is so freaking tiny, so I can imagine on a warm day, or a weekend you will end up having to park on the street. Theres many flavors to choose from, and you have a choice of 1 scoop, 2 scoop, 3 scoops, or a flight!!! Whats more exciting than a flight of ice cream? A flight of ice cream has 6 scoops in it, so it was great because my friends and I all like different flavors. We chose whiskey vanilla, burnt caramel, cookies & cream, cashew fennel chip, strawberry mascarpone, and another flavor which I forgot. Free unlimited toppings on yelp with check in!!! I initially tried to order ice cream and cake for pickup from the LB Creamery location in the Steelcraft in Bellflower, but ended up having to call this location because my order was suspiciously re-timed for the following day. While I ultimately had to pick up my order at this location where they also helped me cancel my online order, I was very impressed by the customer service I received in the process. Ambiance: As far as pandemic precautions, only 1 customer is allowed inside at a time and the door to the store is left open. Obviously no ice cream sampling is allowed. All employees wear masks and gloves. I felt very safe picking up my order here. Food: I picked up a pint of Midnight Oolong. The ice cream had a great chocolate flavor, but I couldn't detect the Oolong component. As a tea lover, that was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise, I've tried many other flavors from LB Creamery in the past and have always been satisfied. tl;dr: Excellent customer service and really solid ice cream with unique flavors! Been here about 4 or 5 times. Normally after work on Friday when other people head to get a beer, I like to come here to "wind down". I know, it's lame, but can you blame me? It's really good ice cream. I don't care for the limited selection, but in a boutique ice cream parlor that makes their ice cream in-house, you can't expect 31 flavors. The quality of the ice cream is top-notch. Haven't had better in southern California. Also, the price isn't too terrible. Probably consistent with going to Coldstone, or other specialty ice-cream places. The serving sizes are a little on the small size, but not bad enough to knock it down a star. The ice cream was mediocre, service was just weird. The ice cream tastes like plain Dreyer's so I'm not sure what really makes this creamery special at all lol. I mean I like Dreyer's but just meh, overall unimpressed. The service was strange - I initially asked for a single scoop and the guy scooped it up for me, then after a second I said actually can I make it a double. He literally took the already scooped ice cream ball out of the cup and put it back in the container and scooped out two smaller scoops. The behavior was just cheap, I'm not sure if he didn't want to give that much ice cream or if they are told to make double scoops smaller but the act of replacing the already scooped ice cream was just weird. Flavors are unique like one fennel and one with ginger and some are classic like chocolate and vanilla. They let you sample any flavor. They have pint ice cream you can buy to go and ice cream sandwiches , cakes and cookies you can buy there cooked or take and bake. They also have brownies too! One of the better ice cream places in Long Beach I came here with one other person on a hot Sunday after cruising around. I decided to go with something different and went with their Goat Cheese Whiskey ice cream with Caramel Bacon bits on top. It was divine. The goat cheese whiskey ice cream had a hint of the goat cheese taste and the whiskey aroma went perfect with it. The salted caramel bacon I choose on top also went great with the ice cream and gave it some crunch. I had a taste of both and they were both delicious as well. The consistency and amount of sweetness was perfect. The waffle bowl was also impressive. I've been going to this ice creamery for a couple years now and I can't believe I haven't written a review! My go to flavor here is the burnt caramel. It is so delicious and like the name of their shop, it is so creamy. There are so many delicious flavors that you can sample, I almost took a pint of the midnight oolong home...but I ended up getting a split scoop of the burnt caramel and the candy cane crunch, sooo gooood! My sister got a split scoop with goat cheese cherry and LB crack, she said it was really yummy too! Wanted ice cream after a nice drive along Rancho Palos Verde and we hit the jackpot! Staff is super friendly and they let you taste a bunch of flavors. We tried about 5 of them and we found the two that we liked, burnt caramel and the cashew fennel chip. Both were by far the best flavors I've tried here. I like the burnt caramel because it wasn't too sweet and not overwhelming flavor. It's a simple flavor that's just nice on a hot day. The cashew fennel chip is super unique and it hit the spot. Who puts cashew and fennel in ice cream?? It actually is really good. Definitely try it! The ice cream here isn't tooo sweet and they all taste like quality ice cream. We got the the waffle cone that is made fresh in the store. Super tasty and it's kinda sweet. Pairs well with the ice cream. I also tried the whiskey vanilla and was not impressed. The coffee was also very tasty. I wouldn't mind it. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. There is a small parking lot and some indoor and outdoor seating. Me and my family were in town for a concert and it was the cutest place, the employees were amazing and so incredibly sweet! The place has the cutest menu, and the most adorable decorations I've ever seen! They had gluten free and vegan options for ice creams and sorbets, best service we've ever had for my sister who is lactose intolerant! They make all the ice creams in house and it really pays off! I don't remember why I had this bookmarked but I just so happened to be in Long Beach and decided that I wanted ice cream~ They have "different" options in that they have different mixtures that they have concocted here for us! I went for their burnt caramel and their midnight oolong. Oh yeah- don't forget to request samples. Because samples. You're gonna want to taste them. Burnt caramel- I wanna say that Scoops has a name similar to this but I don't remember it on the top of my head tbh haha. Their burnt caramel isn't gonna be BAM sweet sugar like you do when you think of caramel and caramel drizzle on top of it. It's a semi-fragrant offshoot of caramel. I think that's the best way to describe it haha. It's creamyy. Midnight oolong is chocolate. You don't really taste the oolong in there but I think maybe they use it to bring out a different and unique flavor. It tasted very rich however and if you really want the tea in it, you keep telling yourself there's oolong and that you can find it! xP You can get unlimited toppings with Yelp check in so use that to your advantage! Oooh the magic of Yelp!! Gotta love it! Friend Yelped the nearest ice cream place, for after dinner. This place, is by far the best I've been for taste and service and overall cuteness of the store. There's about 15 flavors. Most of them rotate out. But two of the flavors that are on the menu all the time are the burnt caramel (there #1 flavor) and whiskey vanilla (#2). I can see why!!!! The girl who served us was so pleasant and enthusiastic, it was just so inspiring that I wanted to pass on the happiness!!! She let us try as many of the flavors we wanted!!!
