We got seated really quickly (even with staff shortages) and while we waited, EVERYONE was a local - which is usually a good sign. The french toast was a leave for me (soft bordering on and too sweet) but the eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee were tasty. Kicking myself for not getting some oreo cheesecake to go. It's a diner. My expectations were not high, filing food that tastes good, nothing fancy or extraordinary. Alas my most recent visit was much less than I expected. Noodles in the soup were overcooked, meat ordered medium rare came out way overcooked and dry. The worst was the 45 minute wait from ordering to getting my overcooked meal. No real concern by the staff just a comment on being busy with a sparsely populated dining area. So many choices, this establishment is pretty low on my list. read more

This diner has been Remodeled since COVID shutdown. It looks great inside lots of space. The food has large proportions, great taste and good staff. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich it is great tasting and lots of flavor. The food takes some time but it is not too long. They use to have a Buffet on weekends not sure if they do this anymore. The prices are good not too expensive. They do have takeout if you rather not sit inside they get really busy on Sunday. read more

It's exactly what you'd expect from a local diner. The staff was friendly and prompt. The breakfast buffet has the standard fare. The food temperature was just warm, so it was a bit disappointing. The beverage prices are very high, ie $2.99 for a child's chocolate milk, approximately 6 ozs. We'll try lunch on our next visit. read more

Horrible service. Breakfast took almost 2 hours. Food had very little flavor and many items were forgotten.

I called and ordered take out. When I arrived home I saw that it was not what I ordered at all. Called back and the Manager put a woman on the phone because "she did it." She was so apologetic and said she was bringing me the correct order and asking for my address. I told her it was not necessary, but sure enough she came and delivered another order. I felt terrible for her. Her Manager threw her under the bus instead of just handling it properly. I tried to give her a $5 tip to make up for her troubles. She would not take it. Lots of hospitality jobs out there. She should go somewhere that respects her. We all make mistakes. So wrong. BTW the food sucked. One and done. read more

Long Neck Diner has a great breakfast, you can order off the menu or enjoy the buffet. It fills you up before you go out boating for the whole day. Staff are very friendly and the service is great. I just took my family of 4 to this fabulous joint! The meat lovers omelette was fantastic. Loaded with meat. The home fries were outstanding. My son said the pancakes were delicious. This place has a very extensive menu so its hard to decide what to get. Got a cup of chicken orzo soup with my meal which was very good. For my main meal I got the turkey club which was a pretty big sandwich, just a little dry for my liking...and by dry I mean not enough mayo and the meat wasn't very juicy. I have gotten some better things from here before like the French dip sandwich. Coleslaw was also a little dry for my taste. Overall its an ok place. Not my favorite diner in town, but the service is pretty good and like I mentioned before the menu is extensive so there are plenty of options for everyone. The food was good but i was surprised to see that some of the servers were wearing their masks on their chins. I should have left as our waitress was very chatty and talking very close to us. Very stressful situation, in my opinion and I won't be back any time soon. I should have known i wasnt ready to meet the public in such a close situation. The breakfast buffet was very good and they provide freshly made eggs to order and toast with the buffet. Very complete breakfast buffet, including scrapple, which I was thrilled with. I know not everyone is a fan, I'm kind of a snob but theirs was done done the way I like it, crisp on the outside and creamy texture on the inside. I eat there a couple times a month and are usually pleased with the food, but the last couple times I went I have digestive issues afterwards. The last time I had the fried cod and by the time I got home I had to run to the bathroom. I ate at home later that day and I was fine. read more

Ordered by.pjone as I saw Chicken Scampi on the menu. (My favorite). Also got a side Greek salad. I won't be back! ALL of the lettuce was brown in the salad....not one or 2 pieces....all of it. Chicken scampi description was chicken sauteed in a garlic sauce. It was boiled chicken in a cream sauce..a TON of it. Linguini tasted as if it was boiled for an hour. Entire entree was totally tasteless. No garlic whatsoever. If you are trying to bring in, keep business, this is no way to do it. read more

Lunch was very disappointing. Ordered the meatball subs with light sauce and extra cheese. What I got was a 12 inch roll, not toasted, 4 mushy meatballs, very little cheese and globs of sauce. It had very little taste but they fries were delicious. The waitress did not return until I had finished my meal. I asked her, was I supposed to get a pickle and cole slaw. She didnt say a word but left and reutned a few minutes later with a pickle and cole slaw and the check. The pickle and cole slaw were both good but I would have like to have them with my meal. Then I looked at the check. It said , "no soup". She never asked if I wanted soup so I asked about it. She said, "oh, you want soup?" She seemed surprised. When I went to play, the guy asked me how everything was. I told him the sub was not very good....only 4 meatballs and they were mushy. He said, "oh". Food was great! The price was also great for a diner, would definitely order food to go. Experienced a server this last weekend, that was quite terrible and was unapologetic for the countless mistakes to our experience. Forgotten silverware and sides, no refills, incorrect beverage orders, never asked for To go boxes and long periods of time where you could not find the server. Also informed us that she has a sty in her eye when serving us our beverages. I hate to give this place a bad review because the food was good and the rest of the staff seemed great, but this server definitely ruined my first dining experience. read more

This place is hands down best diner in area. Food is Always good & plenty of it. Regular diner food so don't expect cuisine but their specials are pretty good but i usually stick to menu. Salads are great. Soups are very good. Enough food to bring half home for another meal. Desserts excellent, my favorite is rice pudding, tapioca pudding, cocconut cake & carrot cake (obviously we've been there a lot). Prices are good. 2 of us usually cost $25 to $30 for dinner. Love the waitresses! terrific & work hard (with sometimes some picky demanding grumps we've seen).Always personable. Never had one there i didn't like! Could use more as sometimes overwhelmed. This diner is very good. It's clean, and well organized. We eat there almost weekly, with a rare complaint. The waitresses are friendly and efficient, the food is above average. Always seems fresh, especially when ordering specials. It's a diner, you can get in and out in 45 min, with soup/salad, entree, 2 sides, drink & desert for $30 for 2 people. What's not to love about that. It's our go to place. Only complaint, would be that their buffet needs to be serviced better, so the customer does not have to open the food containers. By far the worst service I've experienced in my life. It was Fathers Day, but restaurants know about holidays/important days ahead of time and should be properly staffed. We sat at a table (with an active wiggly 16 month old) for over ten minutes before a server even came over. After watching three tables surrounding us be greeted and have orders taken before us, we helped ourselves to the buffet. Halfway thru our meal, a waitress eventually came over. We received a broken high chair that my daughter kept climbing out of, and drinks came well after we were done eating. We felt invisible. The manager was going around checking on tables and we very briefly expressed our dissatisfaction. It shocked me that he didn't even offer an apology. When we asked for the check, we thought- maybe just maybe, he may be inclined to do something, as he saw we waited about 30 minutes for drinks. Nada. The waitress wasn't even the one to bring it! $44 for 3 adults and 1 child. I explained that I found very little value for the amount. She offered to take off $10 and while it was a nice gesture, she seemed to scoff when I told her I felt that was still too high for the lousy service we had. We ended up paying $30. Next time I'll cook at home. My 16 month old can climb all over me, but at least breakfast will only run me $5 and I can have a drink at the start of my meal! read more

We've been to the diner once each for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices tend to be reasonable, but the food is marginal and the service it hit-or-miss. We went for breakfast most recently, and the first thing the waitress said is, "We're very busy, just be aware." When I asked for coffee, she said, "It's brewing, but I'll get it to you as soon as possible," which turned out to be five minutes later. Oh, great way to start the morning. She wasn't kidding about beware. Service was as advertised, slow and haphazard. I had a "Route 24 Special" with turkey bacon and turkey sausage. The turkey sausage was good, the eggs were done to order, but I only received one of the two pieces of turkey bacon, but with the service, skipped asking for another. It also came with one pancake and one piece of French Toast. I think it was the same Bisquick batter they used for both, because they were rubbery and overdone. Upon checkout, they couldn't get their credit card machine to work, which from what I could tell from the conversation, was an ongoing problem. She said we could either pay cash or leave our credit card information and they would charge it later - rigggghhhht. Luckily, we had cash. Save your money, your time and your frustration and find another place to breakfast. read more
