In which it was so strange that there was so many empty tables in the dinning area. So we decide to sit in the bar. They had one table that was clean that we took. 4 other tables had dirty dishes on them. Even when we place our order 10 minutes later. The same four table still have not been cleared off. We went for lunch so the pricing was great for a full meal. Ended up having enough money for a appetizer and dessert. Only spent $46 for 2 adults and 2 kids. I would definitely avoid this Longhorn in the future. We arrived and there were several empty tables throughout the restaurant. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for 6 of us. It may have been because of lack of staff. The floors were covered with pieces of trash and were dirty. The bathroom was out of paper towels. Several people waiting ended up giving back their pager devices and leaving. While waiting, the lady at the desk snapped at my 3 year old who accidentally walked in her way. Our waiter was very friendly, but was definitely unorganized or overworked. This was the second restaurant in this area that we've experienced in this way. Maybe it's the area. Maybe it's our luck. In my opinion 1 star is way to generous for this castleton Longhorn. Been to this Longhorn Steakhouse 2 times now and decided I've had enough of their crappy service. After waiting almost 10 minutes to even be greeted at the hostess stand for them to tell me there is a wait to be seated in a 3/4 empty restaurant. I don't think I'll be back to this Longhorn Steakhouse. I was nice enough to wait 15 minutes the last time when it was very empty. I have to think that this restaurant needs to upgrade the management or just close the doors and save Longhorn the embarrassment. I'm attaching a photo of our group having a great time and receiving great service at a DIFFERENT steakhouse in town, after we left the Longhorn. Here's why: We called ahead to the Longhorn and were told that service would be slow. When we arrived, there were MANY empty tables, but we were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait to even be seated. One member of our group asked to speak to the manager, who eventually came out of an office to reiterate a refusal to seat us despite the empty tables. For heaven's sake--just seat us and let us buy some drinks--we would have been perfectly happy to wait, and you could have made some extra $. Rather than wait in the lobby for 45 minutes, we decided to go down the road to Logan's, where we received prompt and excellent service and DELICIOUS food. read more

When I was in Indiana on a business trip I ate here a few times. The food is ok!

Had the New York Strip and it was just what I needed! Love this place for inexpensive stake and cocktails.

I really enjoyed my meal here, just a small steak with veggies and a salad, but felt the customer service lacked quite a bit. I liked the fact I could pick songs to play over dinner and it was free to do! The service was slow and they continued to forget our food and drinks. On 6/15/15 at about 2pm we were in Long Horn Steakhouse looking forward to having a bone in ribeye and one regular ribeye for a special night out. We had to send back both steaks, seems they got the order backwards, but no big deal so far. Then the medium well comes back well done, and my bone in medium comes back medium well, covered with charcoa,l and basically the worst tasting thing you ever could imagine. Was in for a late lunch, probably only 8 customers at restaurant while we were there. Seated quickly,waiter brought menus and I asked him to please clean the table since there was food particles on it. It took forever for him to return with the towel to clean the table. I ordered Wild West Shrimp, it was brought in a timely manner. It was good but doesn't seem like they put as much pepper juice on it as they have in past. I also ordered Blue Ridge wedge salad, lettuce wasn't very tasty but it was ok. My husband ordered the parmesan crusted chicken dish and the Parmesan CREAMED spinach as his side. The chicken dish was excellent but the parmesan cream spinach was not CREAMED! We each took a bite of it and decided we didn't like it and it definitely was not creamy. The waiter never asked if there was a problem, we paid the bill and left a nice tip. On the way out we stopped at entrance and looked at the menu to see if we had misread the menu and maybe it wasn't listed as creamed spinach. We were right it was advertised as "creamed spinach" An employee walked by and asked if we needed seated. We said No we had already eaten and were just checking out the creamed spinach on the menu and told her we had ordered it and it was not "creamed" she grunted and walked away! Atmosphere is nice. Big booths and the tables seemed to be okay. The staff was very helpful when I requested to be changed to a booth inside of a 4-top in the middle of the room. A booth was cleaned right away, and voila! we were seated. WIne selection is minimal, maybe one or two of a few varieties. I got the Zinfandel and it was pretty tasty. My boyfriend got a Sierra Nevada and the beer glasses were pretty neat. My one complaint was that it seemed to take almost 10 minutes to get a glass of one and a tap beer from the bar. We started with salads, which were pretty standard fare, but none the less, still delicious. They have a pretty good Ranch dressing, and the French was not bad either. Our entrees came just as we were finishing our salads, which was fine by me. I got a ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The side of veggies I chose however left a lot to be desired. Simply steamed to mushiness, with no seasoning at all. My boyfriend got a sirloin steak with cedar plank shrimp. The shrimp were delicious and you could really taste the smokiness of the cedar plank. All in all a good experience and I would go back again. Our server as excellent as well. read more

So I call ahead for a party of 26 and am told no wait...takes us 5 minutes to get her...now there was a wait! The hostess fits us together and the manager YELLS at her for it....are you kidding me????? And guess what it was where we could see it! We will not ever come here again. Then the manager worked his tail off to get another party ready..our party...sat for 25 mins before anyone came to our table then it totaled 45 mins before our order was taken. I have never been treated so badly in my life! The wait staff and hostess are amazing but the manager needs to lose his job! The party he wanted seated (mind you they were not all here and told the hostess to go ahead and seat us) waited 5 mins from seating to ordering. I will NEVER eat here again and I will post on every social avenue I find available so no one else goes thru this. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! If it were not now 7:00pm on a Saturday we would walk out! My husband and I went to this restaurant last night and I personally was very disappointed! I ordered the 6 Oz. Filet with Lobster tail. The filet was completely flat like small piece of a sirloin steak would be, and was no where near being 6 Oz. I asked the waitress before ordering how many ounces the Lobster tail was and she said 5 Oz. Well if it was a 5 Oz. Lobster tail it lost it's weight some where before being on my plate along with my very small and flat Filet. I asked the waitress exactly what kind of steak was on my plate, and she said it was a Filet. I said I had never seen a Filet be flat. She said that when cooking they put a weight on top of the steak and that is why it was so flat! I wanted to laugh out loud at such a ridiculous explanation, but I refrained. The combo came with a salad and one side. I ordered the fries and so help me God, they tasted like someone in the kitchen had spilled the salt shaker on them! First time here with me and my boyfriend! It was great up to the point where I ordered a Med-well ribeye and he ordered a Well-done Ribeye. Well they at least got our sides right but swapped the steaks! THAT IS A $20 STEAK the LEAST you can do is make sure it's right.
