Whenever I visit a Longhorn Steakhouse, I never know what type of service I'll receive. Ths time I was very disappointed. I realize that we are in a process of figuring out our new normal, but customer service and food quality should not be one of the things that go in reverse, especially when trying to bring customers back. I didn't actually eat here but my debit card was stolen and used at this location. Management was so accomodating, they fully refunded the total amount (almost $300) and did so without any pushback. They were so nice and quick to refund the money - I can imagine that this restaurant is wonderful just based on management. Just had the worse dining experience ever. Waitress in bar area at a table was in such a hurry to take our entree order. She didn't ask about appetizers etc. We basically had to ask for everything. My husband has a gluten allergy so we wanted the bone in wings but she said they had breading in them so that was a NO. We then asked about the cheese stuffed mushrooms. She said they were just mushrooms & cheese so we ordered them. We had a coupon for a free appetizer. Finally she brought our drinks!! The mushrooms came & looked as if they had bread crumbs on them. She said they might. We asked that she go to the kitchen to confirm. Yes indeed bread crumbs. We had to ask for plates. She did ask if we we're gonna keep the mushrooms & I said yes. They were good. We had to ask for bread. Yikes!! Even though my husband can't eat it I love it!! His beer ran out & he sat the empty glass at the end of the table. She walked by 2X & never asked us if we needed anything. He finally just stopped her & told her. Hubby got the outlaw ribeye. Huge & expensive ($29.99) but looked good. Every bite my husband took was pure fat. Also he ordered medium rare but it was rare. He got so upset we asked for boxes. She finally brought the bill & as we expected she has not comped the appetizer we were supposed to get free. My husband was so irritated at this point he left. I took care of the bill. Let me start by saying I let somebody talk me into coming here and getting a steak when I really wanted a salad with chicken tenders. The food was good, but I don't think it was flavored as well as I thought it would be. I feel like I couldn't judge the food correctly and there wasn't really much on the menu that appealed to my husband and I. The porter house and mac n cheese lacked flavor, and the cheeseburger dip was a bit odd to me.....however, my husband loved it. The Cesar salad was really good. Our server was amazing......so I'll just give three out of five stars to keep it neutral. And we will try this place again. This restaurant was called ahead of time to see if we(a party of 24) would be able to have a dinner celebrating a birthday and we were told yes they were able to accommodate. When we arrived to the restaurant our pastor was greeted by the manager stating they did not have any workers to accommodate such a large party and refused to serve us. Honestly some of the worst food I've ever had. Never in my life have I ever left a place still hungry. Nor have I ever given such a bad review until today. First off, let me just start by saying that the waiter was amazing and very attentive. However, the food was terrible. I ordered the ribs and they were bland and honestly it just tasted like they didn't season anything. I could have made better ribs myself, which is incredibly disappointing. My sister in law had the buttermilk chicken and she also said it tasted really bland. It wasn't good or even just okay, it was bad food. We had at most, two bites and then asked for the check. While driving we realized that we shouldn't have paid $33 for the food when we only took two bites so we turned around. I didn't want a full refund, I didn't mind paying for our drinks & the tip, but the food wasn't worth it. When we drove back to ask for a refund I was told that because it was paid on a card I could not get one. Instead they gave me $35 on a gift card. Which honestly I'm not sure I will even be willing to use. When I told the manager how I felt he just insisted that the food was "good" and that the restaurant is a "good restaurant". It really felt as though my concerns weren't being heard and I was just being pushed to the side. If I could give zero stars I would. This food tasted like hospital cafeteria food. read more

We used to visit a LongHorn in our former neighborhood often, and we always had amazing service (many thanks to the East Washington Street Indianapolis team!). We have since moved and wanted to have lunch at the Castleton location in Indianapolis. I totally understand and appreciate pandemic restrictions, and we are very happy to comply. I understand staffing issues are a concern right now. But our experience on January 18 was terrible. We walked in for a late lunch -- around 2:30 or 3. Entering the vestibule, we saw chairs stacked haphazardly, so we weren't sure the restaurant was even serving. Once inside the restaurant, we didn't see a host stand. There was no signage. We didn't see a staff member. We wanted to sit in the bar area, so we looked around to see where it was and went in. One table was occupied by a couple. One table had a party leaving. One woman was sitting on a chair at the edge of the area waiting for takeout. There was a bartender behind the bar, but he didn't say anything. Because our previous experiences with LongHorn involved seating ourselves in the bar, we found an empty, socially distanced table that was not blocked off and sat down. We were busy trying to scan the menu app code with our phones so we could review it, and a server came over and asked us what we'd like to drink. We placed our drink order and looked at the menu. Our server dropped off my drink and told my husband his was on the way and we thanked her. Then, another staffer came to our table and told us that there was no open seating, the restaurant was "technically on a waiting list," and they were short-staffed. There was no line when we walked in. Again, we saw no one -- staff or customers -- in the entry, and there was no signage saying "Please see host for all seating" with some direction as to where the host stand was. I told her I was sorry, that in our previous experience with another LongHorn the bar was open seating and that we didn't see anyone on entering, so we just went to the bar. She firmly told us no, that wasn't the situation. And just stared at us. So I said, "Well, OK, we'll leave. We didn't try to jump a line." Then she got defensive and said, "I didn't want you to leave. I was just telling you." I'm thinking, "Well, what did you want us to do? If we jumped a line we didn't know about, we don't want to take a table from someone else, and you clearly had a point to make here." So I basically said that we didn't mean to jump a line and we would leave. Then she started yelling,"Well, you have a NICE DAY. Have a NICE DAY." I said, "Uh, yeah, you too." It was weird, and awkward, and frankly hostile. So yeah, we won't be back. Which I guess was the point of the whole confrontation. read more

Did the "call ahead" in lieu of a reservation, and that allowed us to be bumped to the top of the waiting list. That was appreciated, however we still had to wait over 20 minutes for a table. This place has great food for pretty decent prices. I especially love when they have the $12.99 deal, which includes a mini appetizer or dessert, salad, fresh bread, steak, and side. You can't beat that! Service can be pretty slow sometimes, so I don't recommend coming if you're on a time crunch. My husband and I have been here several times and a majority of the time, service is friendly and attentive. You can get e-mail coupons, too. They add seasonal sides that are always really tasty. I am not sure why this place only has 2 1/2 stars. We come here on a somewhat regular basis and it is always good!! The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. The servers are always nice and attentive. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 is because sometimes you do have to wait a long time for your food. But other than that I really can't complain. My husband and myself went to Longhorn in Noblesville In. We were seated at a table that the waiter was busy with a birthday party of alot. He ask his colleagues to please find someone to wait on us, they didn't accommodate him, he apologized to us took our order. Before that we waited for over 30 mins for answers the manager who was a woman never said a word or tried to see what the problem was, she walked around looked at them discussing it without a care or word and walked off. When our food finally came out, it was warm old and not tasty at all. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich it had very little meat on it. My ribs were old, hard the Coleslaw was warm and not tasty, the beans were not good at all. The waiter was very nice. We will never go there again. read more

TERRIBLE service and mediocre overpriced food. I came here with a large party on a Sunday, but the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Even so, I was here over an hour before my food came. Instead of bringing everyone's food out about the same time, some had to wait an extra 20-30 minutes. My steak was undercooked, my grandma (there for her birthday) got her meal last, 30 minutes after the first plate came. The bills came 20 minutes after everyone was finished, and the waitress came around in another 10 minutes to collect the bills. Overall, my family was there over 2 hours, with only about 15 minutes of that eating our meal. Never come here, not ever, if you want a good meal at a fair price and good service. I went back here a few weeks ago, had have decided this place is just OK. We got a porterhouse to share and at least 1/4 of it was so chewy and grissley we couldn't eat it. The food was as with any chain pretty good and consistent to the product I've come to expect after visiting many other Long Horn's. The service however was pretty bad, maybe the worst I have experienced at a steak house in my life. Maybe it was an off night, but took her 15 minutes to get to us after being seated and that was only because we were getting up to leave. She couldn't take the time to fill our drinks until our food had arrived and that was only because we mentioned it. Prior to traveling to Indianapolis we decided that after a wonderful anniversary dinner at our local Longhorn that this was one restaurant we definitely wanted to go to while on our mini-vacation. So we got into town Friday evening, checked into our room, and freshened up for dinner. Luckily, we only had maybe a ten minute drive to Longhorn and as we pulled into the parking lot I immediately noticed a lot of cars and thought it would be a long wait. We go in and the hostess informs us that it's about a ten minute wait, gives us this little handheld buzzer thing, and asks us to have a seat. Not even five minutes later it vibrates indicating our table is ready. We get a cozy booth and immediately begin looking at the menu. Shortly after, the waitress arrives to get our drink orders while we continue to look at the menu. As she returns we place our orders of the Texas tonion, Longhorn Porterhouse(cooked medium well) with a sweet baked potato, and the Outlaw Ribeye(cooked medium rare) with a sweet baked potato. The Texas tonion was okay but nothing special. My Outlaw Ribeye was pretty juicy and cooked properly. However, my boyfriend's Porterhouse was not good and was overcooked(to the point of it looking well done). Luckily, he's not the type to ever send food back though because our server didn't even check on us once after dropping the food off to ensure everything was okay. I guess as someone who has previously served I'm judgemental on how other servers are and it really does irritate me when service is not what it should be. I understand it can be overwhelming and that you may be busy, but what if my boyfriend did want to send his food back and you waited 20-30 minutes before coming to check on us?? Of course we ended up being full by the time we left and our bill was $60-give or take. While we truly enjoy the steaks at Longhorn, the seasonings that they use do not like our stomachs :( read more

This place is so delightful! Our waitess was very kind and has a sense of humor! She actually had a conversation with us and made sure we were satisfied with our meals and we were comfortable. My boyfriend and O also love the style and the decorations that was put up also. Very unique and quite cozy feeling. So for the food, 5 stars for sure!! My boyfriend and I got steak. I got the buffalo chicken bites (I believe they're called?) and the smallest, 6ounce one cuz I can only finish small portions and steak is very filling! My boyfriend wanted the 12ounce steak but he ended up with a 16ounce because they were out of 12ounce. We definitely had leftovers and man am I obsessed with their buffalo bites and their juicy steaks. Will be back soon to have some more!! read more

I love long horn normally, but seems everytime we come to this location they slack off. We came a little after 4 and they were very slow due to all the rain. Seems like they were not really working like they should be. Not sure if that's the kitchens fault or our servers that we get. But we have been here twice now and it's the same issue. I ask for MEDIUM WELL, not well done! And I get well done. Had to wait over an hour for food when our server only had 2-3 tables. I ask for A1 sauce since we finally got our food and the server comes to takes the tables order right next to us with no A1 sauce for me. I WILL not be returning to this location. They need to figure out their issues. I will say the manager did come and redo my steak. So I do appreciate that, that's the reason for the 2 stars instead of 1. read more

My children took me here for my birthday Saturday Nov 6,2021! It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Our sever acted like we didn't exist, we had to ask for things several times. Which he never brought, he acted like we were going to bite him. Mind you it was just my two adult daughters my adult niece, myself & my three grandchildren 9,7&3 yrs. We were very respectful asked politely for items never raised our voice nothing. He didn't bring us our food other servers did, but the table that came in behind us got everything in a timely manner from him! He messed up our checks three times , it took him 45 minutes to get us checked out. Once our bill was paid the manager finally came my daughter had asked for him 45 minutes prior.
