I usually don't go to the Monroe location due to bad experiences in the past. Decided to give it another shot since it was barely 8pm and it was close by, but this visit today was just absolutely horrible. Was forced to use plastic utensils, and ordered a drink which never arrived. Asked for a real knife to cut my steak but the server never returned with it. Im a server myself so I speak from experience, but the booth we were sat at was dirty and last but not least I found a hair on my plate that did not belong to me. Didn't even fuss about it due to being deeply disappointed. Never again!

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Monday night and there was a wait time of about 45 minutes. We went to the Monroe Mall to kill time and our table was actually ready in 25 minutes. Once seated, our server was friendly, fast and knowledgeable of the menu and drink items. Our food was served hot and in a timely manner. There is plenty of parking and this establishment and their restrooms are super clean.

This is normally our go-to steakhouse in town... however today we were highly disappointed! We ordered 2 steaks..cooked Med... I was told that when I come to pick up the steaks that since it was misting rain... that I would need to come inside and get them myself.... I will attach pics of what they looked like when I got home and opened them.....

    Too small 6oz Renegade Sirloin

While my Parm Chicken was very good, the service and the quantity of my counterparts food left us dissatisfied. I know what you're thinking. No, we did not cut the sirloin and then snap the picture. How the steak is pictured is exactly how it arrived at our table.

Let me first say the food was delicious and the restaurant was clean. So you wonder why I only gave this restaurant three stars? First we had gotten there at two o'clock and our male waiter served us bread and our delicious sweet tea and a ginger-ail very quickly. Then came the issues we ordered the fried onions and a French onion soup and a salad for an appetizer. This took 30 minutes to come over then our main course two steaks didn't show up for another 30 minutes. Now it is after three. The restaurant was not crowded and we got a lame excuse that our steaks were delayed being put down and the people behind us were told that their food was delayed due to a shift change in the kitchen. Sorry I'm not buying that. This is what I think happened our waiter seem to disappear for long periods of time without checking on his customers or our food being cooked in an appropriate time. In other words he dropped the ball. Fumble! There goes one star boom! Poor service! The lady that brought us to our table looked like she didn't want to be there as well. Boom there goes another star. I think the next time we are in that area and won't a delicious steak in a timely manner we are going to Logan's across the street. I'm a Christian Yelper just speaking the truth. I hope longhorns get their service situation under control because the food is good there but just like every American we all have places to go and things to do and not an hour and a half to delay. Anyway May God bless all my fellow foodies Always.

Today I had an awesome lunch with my dad and brother. My dad wanted Longhorn and I am so happy that the chose it. I had the filet with Brussel Sprouts and a loaded baked potato. My food was delicious and I received stellar service. I definitely recommend Lo thorn in Monroe, NC

It is in downtown Monroe with street parking and some public parking lots. Our daughter said she has been there around 11:00am and got a spot on the street right in front. It is very eclectic with decor and items for sale. They have indoor seating, seating along entrance hall and outdoor seating. You order at one counter, which has a large menu boards above the counter. The young lady that took our order was very nice. You pay over at the bar area. It was not busy at the time we were there. I had the Salad Sandwich. You can get it with chicken salad, tuna salad or chickLESS salad. I had the chicken salad in a spinach wrap with lettuce and tomato. There are other bread options. The wrap was filled with the chicken salad. It was nicely seasoned and tasted really good. My husband and daughter both did the Pick Your Burger, a build your own. My husband had the burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. My daughter added bacon, lettuce, grilled onions and provolone cheese. They both said it was a great burger. We enjoyed our food. Definitely will come back.

We visited Hilltop today to honor the third anniversary of his passing and spend time together remembering him at a place that meant so much to our family. I want to start by saying that our waitress was very friendly and kind throughout our visit. She was not the issue. The problem was the manager and the complete lack of compassion and professionalism she showed during what was already an emotional day for our family. I ordered a meal I've enjoyed many times over the years. When there was some confusion about ordering Alfredo as a side, I completely understood that menu items and policies can change. That wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the manager's response. Instead of simply explaining the current policy, she felt the need to tell me that she had been designing the menu for years and that the way I had ordered it in the past was wrong. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and argumentative. Later, while holding my 8-week-old baby, I tripped over a table in the waiting area and banged up my shin pretty badly. Already emotional from the reason we were there, I stepped outside to collect myself while comforting my newborn. When my mother later mentioned the incident to the same manager--not to demand anything, but simply to make her aware of a potential safety concern--the response was, "Well, that table has been there for years and no one has tripped over it." Again, there was no concern for whether I was okay. No apology. Just another defensive response. By that point, I had completely lost my appetite. When my food arrived, there was still confusion with my order, but honestly, the food was no longer the issue. Mistakes happen. Orders can be fixed. What can't be fixed is how a customer is made to feel. What should have been a meaningful family meal spent remembering my father turned into an experience where we felt dismissed, unheard, and unwelcome. At no point did the manager offer an apology for her comments, for my fall, or for the overall experience. After years of supporting this restaurant and making family memories there, I am deeply disappointed. For a family-owned business, I expected far more compassion, especially toward a family gathering to honor a loved one. Sadly, that compassion was nowhere to be found. We will not be returning.
