Maybe I could use a negative star on this review. My wife ordered our supper to go. When we arrived, the nice lady brought the food out, and informed us that what I had ordered they did not have any of that, so they just deducted it from the bill and I was left with nothing. That type of Service is what makes Longhorn steakhouse in Monroe a negative star experience. Not that it really mattered. I have food at my house so I came home threw me something in the air fryer and ate supper. But this just goes hand-in-hand with the past experiences we have had at this establishment, poor service, slow service, and food that was subpar. However, the old lady that they had at the hostess stand was rude to me and my 90 year old grandfather because I calmly asked him if he was okay with waiting 15 minutes to be seated. My husband and I came here for dinner on a Monday night and there was a wait time of about 45 minutes. We went to the Monroe Mall to kill time and our table was actually ready in 25 minutes. Decided to give it another shot since it was barely 8pm and it was close by, but this visit today was just absolutely horrible. Was forced to use plastic utensils, and ordered a drink which never arrived. Asked for a real knife to cut my steak but the server never returned with it. Im a server myself so I speak from experience, but the booth we were sat at was dirty and last but not least I found a hair on my plate that did not belong to me. I went to this location on Saturday evening, around 6:15 pm. It was really crowded and for a party of 3 we were told it would be an hour before we would be able to get a table. We finally got seated around 7:30 pm. Mind you, the only reason I waited that long period of time was because I wanted to order the stuffed mushrooms. I almost never give 5 stars but this was without complaint. The hot mushroom appetizers were delicious, baked in a white cheddar sauce with some spices. There was a brown bread and butter on the table, warm. The drinks came quickly. The place was packed on a Monday night - surprise! and still service was prompt. My friend had a flat chicken cutlet with a cheese sauce which he said was delicious. I had the 6 oz. filet, tender and heavily seasoned but not too much. I also got the baked sweet potato - again great. It was been baked in the coals which gave a smoky taste. Side salads at steakhouses are frequently anemic - not here, a complete salad, chopped tomatoes, celery, grated cheese, onions, the works. And my blue cheese dressing was twice the size of what I am accustomed to getting. Any problems? The parking lot needs to be resurfaced but that is not the steakhouse's responsibility. read more

Let me first say the food was delicious and the restaurant was clean. So you wonder why I only gave this restaurant three stars? First we had gotten there at two o'clock and our male waiter served us bread and our delicious sweet tea and a ginger-ail very quickly. Then came the issues we ordered the fried onions and a French onion soup and a salad for an appetizer. This took 30 minutes to come over then our main course two steaks didn't show up for another 30 minutes. Now it is after three. The restaurant was not crowded and we got a lame excuse that our steaks were delayed being put down and the people behind us were told that their food was delayed due to a shift change in the kitchen. Sorry I'm not buying that. This is what I think happened our waiter seem to disappear for long periods of time without checking on his customers or our food being cooked in an appropriate time. In other words he dropped the ball. Fumble! There goes one star boom! Poor service! The lady that brought us to our table looked like she didn't want to be there as well. Boom there goes another star. I think the next time we are in that area and won't a delicious steak in a timely manner we are going to Logan's across the street. I'm a Christian Yelper just speaking the truth. First please know I love Longhorn Steakhouse and have eaten there in different cities and states. However, yesterday's experience at the Monroe location was well below average. I ordered two ribeye steak dinners, a hamburger dinner with an order of firecrackers and mashed potatoes. My order was over $100.00. The steaks and the hamburger was both dry and tough. We ended up tossing the meals. It was not worth the cost. I will not visit this location again and I do not recommend it for anyone. read more

First time at this location. There was no waiting; we were seated right away. Staff were exceptional. We ordered margaritas and they were "ok ". Salad was really good, fresh and crisp. Shrimp were delicious as was the baked potato. The steaks were...just ok. I was surprised about that. They weren't bad, but they were not delicious either. Maybe they lacked seasoning? I don't know. We sat at a dirty high top bar table waiting for someone to clean it off from previous customers for a while meanwhile several servers passed by for a while til I stopped a manager and politely asked if someone could clean off table and she went back into back of restaurant not touching anything on table then more servers would come by table saying someone will clean this for you and finally sending someone out to tell us they would get hostess to clean table. I guess it was not her job to help clear a table for customers and all it was one plate and bread and no one would touch it. Food was good our server was bartender and she was good. Once some one saw me they said do you need a menu, not you need a table or good afternoon how can I help you. So. Not sure of the staff. We were seated with no wait and were promptly greeted by our server, Rodrigo, who was welcoming and extremely pleasant. Service was timely without feeling rushed, and the food was delicious. My girlfriend got the 8 oz. renegade sirloin with fries and a salad. The steak was really good and cooked to her expectations of medium rare. But the fries were bland and needed more salt and were not really warm. And her salad had too much ranch dressing in it. We had to wait for a table so I went to get a beer and the bartender overfilled the glass and it was dripping all over the place.
