One of my favorite places for steak. However today they were not got on their game. My wife' and I both got the sirloin and shrimp combo. I got mine with rice and Mac and cheese. The steak was done perfectly. The shrimp were grilled perfectly as well The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Their bread was a bit stale which was surprising since it was quite busy at 3 pm. Went here tonight everything was exactly as ordered when it arrived! Steak tasted wonderful without sauce being needed. The baked potato was super impressive the way it was crispy on the outside all the way around! The salad was very good too! My service was excellent! My drink never ran dry and the waitress checked on me often even though I was alone and it was a busy Friday at 6pm. Bottom line: LongHorn Steakhouse at Brier Creek yielded a mediocre experience this time. Longer wait than expected for seating, long wait for food to arrive, and noticing a lack of flavor in my steak itself factor into my impression here. The Deets: Before heading into holiday grocery shopping with some friends, we decided to stop in to this LongHorn Steakhouse located in Brier Creek. LongHorn has a pretty extensive menu as one expects from a steakhouse chain. I decided on the Loaded Potato Soup to start out with here and it was pretty good but not exceptional, again what would be expected from a steakhouse chain here. For my meal I went with Flo's Filet 6 oz choice with rice pilaf as my side selection. I have to admit, while the steak was cooked as ordered it did not really have much flavor to it even for a filet as well as lacking in overall presentation. While the steak flavor was disappointing, the rice pilaf was good and there was plenty of it. My friend looked pretty satisfied with his ribs selection and it was a huge portion as well. If I come back in the future, I may change up my selection to see if my experience can improve. The overall speed with us getting our items we ordered was very slow. Our server was very nice and friendly (even extremely talkative) but the long delay receiving our ordered items was definitely something we all noticed. Steak was way overcooked and the asparagus were beyond mush. Baked potato was supposed to be loaded but just had a tiny sprinkling of a few things on top and nothing else. They did bring another steak that wasn't too bad. No offer of a discount or free desert or anything for the poor quality food etc. but they did charge an extra 2.99 for the disgusting asparagus I couldn't eat. Manager never checked in even after all of the food quality issues. Do not come here if you like proper quality food. Had dinner here, Brier Creek, Raleigh NC, last evening. When I got the receipt for the meal the amount was 34.08, but my bank account showed a withdrawal of 40.90. The amount it would be if there were a 20% tip. I didn't authorize a tip to be added. I usually tip with cash, and this was going to be the case for this meal. When I brought this to the on duty managers attention. She told me that it wasn't their fault; that the bank automatically took out the tip. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. This morning I called my bank, and they told me that 40.90 was taken out of my account. They said that 34.08 was put in for the meal and that Longhorn made a gratuity adjustment of 6.82. Which brought the amount to 40.90. Does Longhorn think all of their customers are stupid? If it was a mistake, so be it. Correct the mistake, but to come up with a lame excuse like this? It sounds like THEFT! Using an excuse like this sounds like intentional theft. I mean really; who ever heard of a bank charging your account for tips on restaurant checks? LOL, that dog don't hunt. Stopped here for lunch with a friend and I didn't want a heavy lunch so I ordered a loaded baked potato with a cup of shrimp and lobster soup. I was hoping the soup would've been creamier with actual noticeable bites of shrimp and lobster, but I didn't detect too much of that. I still liked it though. The baked potato was cooked just right it was soft and a nice size with a side of sour cream, butter, and chives. I would've liked a little more of that but it was satisfactory. I came to Longhorns for a company Christmas luncheon that consisted of about 17 people. We were asked to wait outside until all of our party had arrived. When we told them everyone was there, we were immediately seated and drink orders were taken. They devoted about 3 wait staff to our party, which expedited the service. Food and apps were delivered within a reasonable time (10-12 minutes) and the quality of the food was exceptional. My filet was cooked perfectly to the medium rare I ordered. The appetizers that were recommended were on point and as described. I did overhear a few minor issues from others in our party, but they were quickly resolved to the liking of the patron; as it should be in my opinion. Overall, a great experience two years in a row and I look forward to another visit in 2025. read more

We always enjoy coming to the Longhorn Steakhouse. The service is great, and we especially like the ambiance and the bar has a great staff. We dropped in about a week ago, midweek, and for the first time took issue with the steaks. My wife ordered a 10 oz sirloin and I a 20 Oz T-bone. Hers was bloody (we both asked for medium rare) and mine was edible but much thinner than I expected! I especially enjoyed the onion soup and the chocolate dessert was incredible. We enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. My grilled shrimp was a good size but it was drenched in some salty greasy marinade that hid the deliciousness of shrimp. My baked sweet potato was perfect as was my steamed broccoli. The Apex restaurant is run better but I just don't see the need to go to any Longhorns. For a mid steak place, 5/5 stars. You cannot be mad at the quality and quantity you get from Longhorn. This place is always busy!!!! And the staff is always SO friendly. Parking can be a bit tight during super busy times, but there's always parking available around the shopping center. For the inside, the ambiance checks off the marks for dining out, although of course it's a chain. It's not horrible chain vibes though. The food always hits. They don't put on any more airs than they need but they do put on just enough. Steak is always cooked to perfection. The seasoning is aggressive in a good way. The temps are always excellent. I've already submitted a formal complaint to LongHorn, but I need to share my experience here because the service at the Brier Creek LongHorn on January 27, 2026 was completely unacceptable. I'm a regular customer and spend money at this location often. I tried ordering online, but the website wouldn't let me check out. I called the restaurant, and Hailey L answered. She told me the kitchen was still open and offered to take my order over the phone. I ordered two 7oz salmon meals with sides and a Spicy Bites appetizer. I even asked her if ordering by phone cost more than online, and she said no. Not even a minute after we hung up, I got a text showing a total of $75, way higher than usual. Hailey rang everything up separately instead of as meals, which raised the price. When I called back to correct it, she answered the phone with a rude "What's the name?"--no greeting, no introduction, just attitude. She repeated it even more sharply, and when I asked who I was speaking with, she said, "The same person you were just talking to," in a very disrespectful tone. When I arrived at the restaurant, I spoke with the manager, Chase, who was apologetic. But after getting home, I realized not all the food I paid for was even in the bag. Between the incorrect order, the attitude on the phone, and missing items, this was ridiculous. Something seriously needs to be addressed with Hailey L--whether it's more training or supervision--because customer service like this will drive people away. The weakest margaritas ever. Tasted just like juice. We ordered Ribeyes. One was cooked to the correct temperature and unfortunately mine was not. It was cooked well done which is not what I ordered. I showed our waitress and she agreed it's not the temperature I ordered. She took it back to get another and pretty much never came back. After 20min I had to go get the hostess to find our waiter. She came back to tell us she checked and my steak should be coming soon. At this point it's about 30min later and my friend had almost finished their food. After receiving the text that my order was ready I proceeded to the restaurant to pick up my order. Upon arrival, there weren't any spaces available at curbside. There was one car in space #4 that appeared to be parked there as opposed to waiting for an order. It was empty and did not move the entire time I was there-about 20 minutes. I couldn't check in so I went into the restaurant. Other than an extended wait everything was typical...until I got home. My steak was a bit undercooked for medium however, it was the potato that gave me pause. The sweet potato looked as if they put it in old foil. The foil looked as if it had been balled up and re-used (trash?). When I opened the foil the potato looked as if it had been dropped/smashed or even picked up off the floor and put in my order. This meal also had one container of butter and another container with about a teaspoon of melted butter. Not sure why. Lastly, I noticed that the dessert was missing the strawberry syrup it typically comes with. SMH. I won't be back for a while. We've loved Longhorn since the 90s. Lately, our experiences have been sub-par. Our most recent visit to this location left us lacking, especially for the price point.
