Chinese food that hits the spot with huge portions!! We got 4 entrees for the 4 of us and had so many leftovers

Food is great service is sweet ambiance is relaxing. The portion size is great usually have left overs for a few days

There are many Chinese places out there, so its hard to compete, but after the second time coming here I feel there are better options out there. The prices of the food are pretty high for the quality that is being delivered. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but not sooo good to validate the price. The reason I kept the 3rd star was because once we ordered our food to go, the gentlemen said that it will be 10 to 15 min wait. We had the baby and wife in the car and didn't want them to have to just be sitting around. So we stayed in the car with the A/C as it was a bit warm in the restaurant and I told him I would be back in. News to me I see that same guy bring the food out to my car. Road side service!!! The service alone was great and that does add a big value to my experience, but overall that still doesn't warrant the price of food. Unfortunately, I will frequent a different Chinese restaurant in the future. read more

Had pork fried rice which is very fresh. Perfect amount of spice and vegetables. The perfect amount of soy. Fresh and hot. The orange chicken, spot on . A little bit spicier which I like. Hot and fresh. The sweat and sour chicken was tasty and just a touch rubbery but not enough to drop a star. Maybe I was just hungry but the family loved it. I still highly recommend this out of the way place. Don't expect glamour. Note when you order chicken, if you like lean chicken just ask the waiter or waitress which dish has the white chicken meat and they will list it for you. read more

We are still looking for that really good Chinese spot in the area. Standard hole in the wall Chinese spot. Service was good, but the food is just OK. We tried the orange chicken and the general's chicken, as well as the wontons and chow mein. The chicken was relatively well seasoned but the texture wasn't all the way there in terms of crispiness. Wontons came out a tad soggy, like they weren't freshly fried. Fine in a pinch and if I worked across the street I might eat here once per month, but we probably won't return. read more

I have been coming to Loomis Chinese since I was a kid. The service that this family provides to the community is superb. They are friendly and polite. And to top it off they cook delicious food and maintain their restaurant clean. Even when ordering to go they are prompt with their order and pick up times. Best Chinese food restaurant in the area! My husband and I literally come here once every two weeks and the food is always consistent. The restaurant is small, so the service is always personal and amazing. Food portions are large and we always end with with take home (which is awesome!). Also, they have a wide variety of vegetarian options and are always on point with substitutions or the omission of certain vegetables, etc. Their takeout traffic is always heavy and they have a lot of "regulars." Best Chinese Food in the area! Always enjoyable and super hot and fresh. Every time I get something from here the food is steaming and tasty. Everyone is very nice and makes sure you are happy during your entire meal. I have no complaints and come here often. I have eaten at the restaurant and to-go and it is the same quality either way. We went to Loomis Chinese last night and the food was excellent. We had gone to this restaurant over 3 years ago and were not impressed, so we never went back. The other day a friend told me that she went to Loomis Chinese and thought the food was very good. I check yelp and read that there was a new owner last year, so we decided to give it another try. I'm glad we did and got excellent service and great food at a reasonable price. We took the leftover and had them for dinner tonight. We will be going back. read more

Honestly we were looking for something to eat after a movie night and this place popped up on yelp. I was a little skeptical at first but they blew my mind and taste buds away. My boyfriend and I went here multiple times by ourselves before having his family come in with us and they love it too. The hot and sour soup always hits right no matter what the weather is outside. We always get rice, salt and pepper shrimp, broccoli beef, kung-pao and chow main. We get a lot of food for a really good price! We really love this place and the hostess/owner is always friendly! My comfort food, my favorite. I can get Gluten Free Chinese here & it's INCREDIBLE! Giant portions and spectacular customer service. They remember my order and go above and beyond every single time. I cannot ask for more, I get food from here regularly because it's so delicious and I just LOVE the people, they are truly the kindest. I can get SEVERAL meals out of each thing I order, I'm always shocked at how much they give. This is seriously a Diamond in the rough. It's hidden in a weird place in Loomis that you wouldn't come across really on accident. But I'm telling you, It's special & the owners are truly lovely. On my way back from San Fran, my MIL and I got a craving for Chinese. She used her phone (I don't think yelp) but we found a Chinese place not too far from the highway rated 4.8 out of 5 stars. It's in a quiet and empty looking strip mall in Loomis, next to an Italian restaurant and the Green elephant which seems to be a Burmese, sushi and candy shop? Anyways. I was a little Leary entering, old 90s decor, clean enough, but still not entirely comfortable here. Why a 4 star place. Keep in mind this is Americanized Chinese. The prices aren't terrible and everything if available for lunch special except for chef specialties of which you could add combination stuff too for $3. It didn't look like the lunch combo came with soup of the day though. We ended up doing dinner special A, because you get the wonton, egg roll, pork fried rice and Chicken corn soup. We got chicken chow mein, and broccoli beef. The soup was delicious. An upgraded version of egg flower. The egg roll was huge and I forgot a picture, but actually had meat in it!! Not just cabbage, but BBQ pork. That alone is unique. Then the rice, full of ingredients and delicious cubes of diced BBQ pork. Actually fried!! Then the chow mein, a solid version. Nothing crazily special but nice and fresh ingredients. The broccoli beef was last with blanched, bright, yet tender broccoli and tender strips of beef. Only complaint was sometimes it was a bit corn starchy. It was one of the better Chinese food experiences I've had while on the road and I would come back. Just wish it had an extra good scrubbing and and update wouldn't hurt Haha. read more

Although this is not authentic Chinese food, it is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants for the following reasons. Food tastes fresh and cooked fresh. There is no stale oil flavor. Food comes to you hot so you know it has just been cooked and the taste is always fantastic. The service is fast and friendly. The price very reasonable. My husband and I eat lunch with two entrees and an order of one soda for about $25! We have ordered the tomato beef, Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, Chow Mein, Fried Rice. Other food looks good too but we like these items so much we keep ordering. read more

This little hole in the wall Loomis Chinese restaurant is SO GOOD. After trying a handful of Rocklin Chinese food locations and being sorely disappointed, I am happy to say we have found our go-to restaurant for take-out Chinese! (They also have dine-in) the prices are great, comparable to most, but the flavor is by far the best in the area for the price. We found this place by accident because not many places were open for New Years Day. A happy accident! We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, and Fried Wontons. Yum! read more

I am updating my rating for Loomis Chinese because things have changed...in a good way! For a long time I loved their food and their prices but found their customer service very poor. However, awhile ago they hired a wonderful waitress who is very friendly and provides great service. She makes dining here a great experience. read more
