I have been going to Los Arcos for years and I honestly think it is the best mexican in my area. A few other restaurants have recently popped up (and I have tried them) but Los Arcos stands apart because of the quality of the food, the friendly customer service and the OPTIONS. You can customize almost any plate, taco or even nachos. I order online and the website provides a range of customizations that other places do not have online. For example. I like to order what I call 'breakfast nachos" - so I select the bean and cheese nachos and add chorizo, pico de gallo, ranchero sauce, egg and sometimes potato. I found a table and placed my order. I tend to love a "chicken fajita" taco with peppers and onions and that's my go to when I try a new place like this. I ordered that and I also ordered a Huevos Mexicana to give a breakfast taco a try too. Got a cup of coffee to wash it down. Service was super attentive and respectful. Made you feel valued. My tacos were served promptly with a couple of salsas. The Huevos Mexicana with its tomatoes, peppers and onions was good but needed salt and pepper. Cooked perfectly. I hit it with the salsa roja and enjoyed every bite. The "fajita" taco was chicken, but it was more what I would call chicken cutlets ... small strips of griddle cooked chicken that didn't have a lot of spice. It did have peppers and onions however. It wasn't bad, just not a lot of flavor but thankfully, the salsa verde fixed that right up. Overall good, piping hot food served with a lot of warmth and smiles. This little hole in the wall cafe had a great menu, was accommodating to special requests, had an excellent choice of salsas and even had a pancake platter for picky eaters. Everything from the breakfast burrito to the breakfast tacos was served fresh and hot. The waitstaff was friendly and quick as well, even when they got really busy. I usually order from Los Arcos because it's close by, it's cheap, tasty, and the portions are generous. Good value overall. But I won't be ordering from them moving forward. I decided to stop by for an agua fresca last week and I noticed no one in the kitchen wearing a mask. The servers and cashiers were but not the cooks. These are the people that prepare our food and breath on our food. If one of them was to be sick while preparing our food that means their breath particles would be on my food as well and could potentially make me and my family sick.
