They seem to have new management along with the new location, and the menu has been changing quite a bit over the past month. Although I usually enjoy beef more than chicken at taco trucks, at Los Chilangos, the pollo tacos are truly excellent. However their asada and cabesa aren't to my taste-- they seem to be grilled on low heat and minimally seasoned. I now stay with the chicken and am very happy! Absolutely delicious! Admittedly, there are a lot of Mexican joints in the area, which is great because it offers great variety at reasonable prices, but this truck has definitely got something that a lot of other places don't have, and I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I'm liking it! The service is really fast and the prices are fair, and it's conveniently located at the Shell gas station on the corner of 140th and NE 8th. The chicken quesadilla gets 5 starts and the tacos get 4. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, the ratio of meat and cheeese is right on and it's pretty large! The salsa is delicous and actually spicy! My only regret is not getting a side of sour cream. I also tried the al pastor and carne asada tacos, which were good, but nothing fantastic. I actually thought the carne asada was a little too chewy for my taste. I will give the tacos al pastor another try and would love to try the lengua. read more

This review isn't for the food because I think it's pretty good. It's about the catering services. We contracted to have a particular menu and were quoted a price to have dinner served at our party plus, as a fun idea, we wanted to have the food truck there serving food as well at an agreed-to EXTRA price. This was done two months ahead of time. The day of our party, the owner sent his brother to cater us but apparently their communication was messed up. We didn't get the special menu we contracted for and we only got the food truck with its usual menu. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Bottom line: they reduced the price and the food truck was still fun. They need to work on improving their communication between themselves. read more

Super-yummy, authentic Mexican food at exceptionally reasonable prices comin' out of this truck. Fiance and I had the al pastor torta, lengua and cabeza tacos, and chupacabras huaraches. All tasted exceptionally fresh with great flavor. Those huaraches are to die for! Homemade tortillas smothered in all manner of goodness. Service was friendly; even got a free sample of (yummy) horchata! As an Asian I can't comment on the authenticity of the taco truck. HOWEVER, as a human being I have to say that this was one of the most exceptional meals I've ever eaten. In desperate need of a breakfast burrito, I searched yelp to see what local options were. I have had Los Chilangos before and their al pastor was a little too dry for me (thus the 4 stars). But descriptions of their Chupa Cabra burritos lured me down to try it out again. Wow! That certainly hit the spot and I will have to return sometime for lunch to try out the other options. They also were very nice and told me not to wait in the cold, I went back to my car and they brought it out to me! Pretty good service for a food truck. I used them for a surprise 70th birthday party for my wife. She always dreamed of having a food truck party. We had the ultimate backyard outdoor party for about 45 people. Naomi was easy to deal with on the phone and worked with me as I hemed and hawed and changed plans during the early stages, the truck arrival and set up was punctual and seamless. The reliability of Los Chilangos was unquestionable, and for people throwing a party, having that assurity means a lot. The rates were clear and fair and there was no surprises. As her husband set up the truck and cooked, Naomi and her daughter worked with me as a gaggle of 9 year old girls, a couple of them granddaughters, wanted to actually wait on the guests and bring them their orders. They trained the girls how to pronounce the menu options and provide them with a menu and the whole thing came off like clock work (well, as best could be expected with 9 year old servers). The food was outstanding. The menu choices more than adequate, the product tasty, and not overly filling. The guests were sated and happy. The kids were on cloud nine. The honoree was exstatic, and I was pleased. What's not 5 stars about that! read more

The food is great...only if the young cashier girl can take your order right. 4 out of 5 times, it's wrong. She doesnt repeat back the order even after we have to repeat it twice.
