We ordered the brisket sandwich and the breakfast burrito. The brisket sandwich was a 10/10. The pickled onions and the sauce in the sandwich was everything I could've hoped for. The garlic cilantro fries on the side were sooo good and addicting with the aioli served with it. The breakfast burrito was an 8/10 in my opinion. There was too much egg, the tater tots could've been a bit more crispy, and it was lacking spice. The salsa did add flavor but not spice. The service was nice and fast which was surprising on a Sunday morning and with how many people that were there. The ambiance was why I am giving this place a 4 star. It was so loud both inside with the music and the set up of the cafe as well the outside with the busy street right next to it. I would be back again but I would not come here is I was looking for a good hangover meal because it would only increase my headache. read more

This place is awesome because they allowed my dog to sit inside the restaurant. Food was also fantastic and I absolutely love all of the plants/ambiance of the place. You walk in and pretty much just seat yourself. Then when you are ready to order, you go to the front, place your order, pay, and they give you a number for the table. Once you finish your food, I've seen some people bus their own dishes while others just left it there for the employees to bus their plates. There's water and condiments that are all self serve. Food selection was so tasty and everything tasted fresh. I ordered the breakfast burrito, my dad ordered the breakfast sandwich, sister ordered the Cobb salad and we all had the fries to share. Price came out to be $60. Seems to be on the pricier side in my opinion but the vibes and the tastiness made up for it. There is no wifi but it seems to be a nice place to do work/study if you can either hotspot or go without wifi. A cute little cozy brunch spot in the area. They are an "order first place" and they you take your number to find a seat either indoor or outdoor. I went on a weekend so the street wasn't very busy. It was really nice sitting outside and chatting. They will keep adding tables and chairs as needed. Their coffee was really good but I wish I told them I wanted in an actual cup rather than a take out cup. They also have various special coffee flavors but I didn't get to try yet. We had the omelette and breakfast burrito, both were really good. We also ordered a blueberry pancake (small size). It was still two really large pieces for sharing. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Everywhere you look there is dust, dirt and grime. The reatroom doesn't look like it's been cleaned in decades the sink is black. There is blood underneath the pokey seat. The bar where the baristas are making peoples coffee has so much dust on the top of the roof and in their decorations. Dusty Dena. So good. Chai latte with expresso and dark chocolate. Could be addicting, but fortunately I don't live in the area or else I'd definitely go broke for this caffeinated beverage! Service is friendly, the line is long (moves slow), and food is prepared in avg time. My coffee took almost 10 minutes to get (don't plan on a quick to go order) and this isn't my first visit here either. Simple menu with simple ambience. Got a nice LA vibe to it. I am normally not a fan of ordering at the counter but this place is totally worth it. First, the ambiance is very relaxing. The light from the windows along with all the plants make you feel transported to another place. The food was incredible!! My sister got the american breakfast which is very traditional. We also got the chilaquiles which for some reason i dont have a pic of. That was the groups absolute favorite. My mom can be picky with traditional latin dishes but she fell in love with that dish. The cobb had a nice twist that was teally refreshing and made it less heavy than a traditional cobb. The french toast sticks are a must. We ended our meal with the sticks and they are the perfect amount of sweet. Service was amazing and the food came out at a decent time. The one thing i was disappointed with (still not enough to impact their stars) was that i missed the cocktail menu that was on the wall. My friends and I stopped here for brunch and I found it to be a pretty solid spot. It's counter service, but the wait staff does come around to bring your food/drinks and checks in as needed. All of the main dishes were delicious. I somehow forgot to take a picture of my meal, which was the breakfast burrito. It had a bit more of an American flavor profile than a Mexican taste, but it was still enjoyable. My friends really enjoyed their avocado toast and BLAT sandwich. I'd recommend anything that comes with the fries because those were delicious and they came with a bunch. The vibes of this place are awesome, with lots of plants hanging around. Service was amazing, the staff is so nice and very welcoming. They interact with customers and their regulars like they were family which I love. The Ambiance is very pleasant. I love the plants, I love the stained glass design and the location of everything from bar to tables has a great flow about it. Amazing. The food is a different story. I order the chilaquiles and the sauce and the beans were definitely from a can. I know rosaritas when I see it and taste it. It's so easy to make a sauce for the chilaquiles, and it's even easier to make beans. If you're a parrot, you'd probably be lost, too. This place is hidden between South Pasadena and Alhambra. It's not close to any recognizable venues or freeways for that matter. Luckily, it's on Huntington Dr., which connects Arcadia to downtown LA. Hope that helps. It's worth the discovery. I came on a weekend for brunch. Parking's in the back, if you can't find street parking. There were people outside, and inside...lucky I got a table in the back. It's got an old town Hollywood deco vibe. I ordered the special cocktail called "Funky Polynesian" and my daughter ordered the orange mimosa. It was good. I got the Breakfast Burrito. Cute spot and does get busy. I'm not sure if I went on an off day or if the service is always like this, but it took 45min to get a BLAT and I had to ask for utensils, water and condiments. I thought it was weird that brunch menu goes later into the day, but the breakfast items are limited time. When it's busy there's limited seating and it's seat yourself (let them know if you're going to be inside or out). Arriving back at 5 the sweet staffer said they don't serve anything but Tacos for dinner on Tuesday..... something I failed to see on Yelp or the photos of their menu.... PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUCEMENT: THIS IS A BREAKFAST & LUNCH SPOT THAT SERVES TACOS AND MARGARITAS ON TUESDAYS EVENINGS.... So hopefully you are reading this and will make plans to take advantage of their offerings. We were good sports and ordered 4 tacos. They were OK. Can't compare 91030 tacos to 90042 & 90065. There were street tacos style... but nothing that will curl your toes. On their behalf, there was no gristle on the carne asada, the meat quality was very good... the small corn tortillas could have been cooked a minute longer on each side, the condiments were fresh. Very casual laid back atmosphere. Nice to see the local business owner giving first employment opportunities to young people. They all seemed quite polite and sweet that made up for their lack of experience in communication and food prep. Look for an update when we have a chance to try for lunch or breakfast... You come in and order first then grab a number and sit down. They'll bring you the food and drinks. Some of the employees here are great and friendly and some of the others don't seem like they know what they're doing. Ordered the breakfast sandwich. It's only the sandwich and doesn't come with any sides. It's good if you're not going to eat a lot and I really enjoy the crispy cheese in it. I'd order the fingerling potatoes as a side if you're really hungry. It's a cute place to come in for a quick little meal. It's good for groups but probably harder to grab tables together if you've got more than 4 in you group. The plants are also available for purchase if something catches your eye. read more

Gosh I wish I'm someone who takes photos of food! I enjoyed their "orange grove". It is so rich, the first time I ordered a medium, the second time I stuck to the small because that was enough goodness for one sitting! Highly recommend it if you love the combination of super rich dark chocolate with orange in a good latte! FYI, you can order drinks by scanning the QR codes posted on the wall and also at the table without standing in line. I loved the latte art and the little mugs they come in. The place is a combination of self service and wait staff. You can get water, utensils and to go containers on your own, but your food is made fresh and brought to your table. Everyone on staff is super chill, I always feel über comfortable there. Personally I like their breakfast offerings over their lunches. I love the omelets and the amazing golden crispy, almost burning your mouth potatoes and the churro French toast... also very crispy and served piping hot! These are sooooo good and I don't think I will ever make them at home, so it's a real treat to order them when I can make it out there. I also love the vibe, the decor and the lovely plants. It feels tropical but in a very Californian way. There's a simplicity added to the atmosphere which is very California, not so much Caribbean (parrots made me think of pirates, and pirates made me think of the Caribbean Sea lol). Yes I recommend this place. But I do think the lunch items are just okay... if you work near there, great lunch spot. We stopped by for brunch since we were in the area and its been on our list for awhile. It's located in a random street corner next to a church. There is a tiny private lot behind but it was totally full so we ended up parking in huge parking lot for the church next door. The place does have a cute decor with all the wooden theme going inside and outside. There's about 4-5 tables outside in front. It's one of those order first at the counter and self seat kind of place. The menu has a alot of standard brunch items along with the coffee menu with some signature items on the dry erase board. We ended up just staying safe with classics. First impression after sitting down was OMG our order came super fast! It literally came in less then 4 minutes! House Latte - you have the choice of hot or cold and type of milk. Went with the original whole milk. Overall pretty standard latte. Can taste they use a dark roast but my specific shot was slightly under extracted so slightly sour. Yeah majority people wouldn't know the difference since its covered by the milk. Breakfast Burrito - bacon, house chicken sausage, smashed fingerling potatoes, black beans, eggs and cheese. Served with some salsa verde, and there garlic aioli/sour cream sauce. Overall super tasty and satisfying if you're hungry and looking for all in one kinda entree. That sauce is a total winner with that extra layer of flavor burst with every bite. If you finish both halves you're definitely gonna be full! BLAT (BLT)- bacon, gem lettuce, avocado, sun dried tomatoes with garlic aioli served with cilantro lime fries. At first we're like what is a BLAT?? then its like oh its a BLT, or BLT + avocado. Yeah its your standard BLT with avocado. The real winner here again is that garlic aioli and those cilantro lime fries! Who knew putting some cilantro on fries would be so super flavorful dipped in that garlic aioli and its a party in your mouth! The sandwich itself was good too with crispy thick cut bacon strips with the slight sour/sweetness of the sun dried tomatoes on the toasted bread. You definitely need that garlic aioli sauce though or it gets abit bland by itself. Overall a nice spot for a casual weekend brunch without a super long line. Cute cafe! Found it on Yelp while craving some coffee and brunch on a Sunday. It's located in South Pasadena, I like that they have a decent amount of outdoor seating tables, the interior is kinda cute too. We opted for a few dishes to share. Everything was beautifully presented, but I thought the coffee was better than the food. I really enjoyed their orange grove latte (dark chocolate, orange essential oil topped with candied orange slice) Just one sip, ohhh you will fall in love with that coffee. Really good coffee and really addicting. The biggest complaint would be the French toast sticks, they were hard. Even after I tried to soften it by drowning it w/ maple syrup, they were still hard. I didn't give up. I also tried to dip it in coffee, they were still hard like rocks. It felt like a real challenge eating them! Also the fries were soggy but the dipping sauces were good. We got their Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Sandwich, Latte and the Coffee Cake. Everything was solid and service was great. My only complaint is that the burrito was super heavy on the potatoes but other than that everything was delicious. The aesthetic of this spot is very hipster and cozy. Many plants are placed throughout the restaurant which gave it a cute vibe. They have outdoor and indoor seating to choose from. However, the presentation of the food outshines the quality. Womp womp. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and French toast sticks. The sandwich was $9 but I felt like I could make something better at home. It was good but there didn't seem to be a special sauce or anything that made it memorable. I would say this sandwich should be priced at $5. The French toast sticks look much prettier than they taste. They were very crunchy.
