I came here with my sister and it felt like it was everyone's first day working at this Cafe. The line took about 15 minutes for us to get to the cashier & there was only 2 people ahead of us. They took another 15 minutes to get our order to us. The cashier ignored my sister while she was paying her with cash and was just spacing out. Honestly, the atmosphere was pure chaos. The food is excellent. I'd probably give it a 9 out of 10. I do like the gluten free clam chowder and their fries are so good and different from anywhere else. The view is amazing! Staff is friendly and super helpful and accommodating. I eat here pretty frequently whenever I'm working in the area. At night they have a heated enclosed patio so you can still hear the waves while you dine. Excellent cocktail options. Menu has something for everyone. read more

Beautiful cafe with an incredible view of the ocean. This cafe has a selection of coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, sandwiches, acai bowls, and some pastries. In the summer we enjoyed their peach iced tea, but their matcha latte was on the sweeter side in my opinion. They also were out of a lot of their food options when I visited, including no sourdough, my favorite :( The food was fairly good but quite expensive for pretty basic sandwiches. If you're planning on spending the day in Lover's Point it's a nice spot to grab drinks but I would rather picnic with better value food. For convenience though it's a pretty good option! read more

Unfortunately, the only thing good about this place is the ocean view. If not for that they have nothing going for them. We ordered a banana muffin and a strawberry matcha latte. The banana muffin was extremely mushy on the inside and smelled funky, fermented and rotten sour. I had to spit the bite I took out and my friend refused to try it. She did smell it and confirmed it was bad. I've never had a muffin that god awful. So I went back and told them the muffin is bad. They tossed it and offered another selection. So I got the cinnamon roll. They offered to heat it up. I should have known that's a sign that the cinnamon roll was not freshly baked as well. We took a bite and the outside was hard, dry and stale. The inside was okay and soft which is how the entire roll should be. Then I had some strawberry matcha latte and it was like sweet like syrup! I went back to ask for hot water and used up 3/4 of the cup to dilute the matcha latte. Then we used their restroom and it was filthy!! The vent had nasty lint and dirt hanging off of it. There was no ventilation and it was just stuffy. The corner of the bathroom had cobwebs. Whoever owns this place has zero pride in their establishment and could care less about their customers health both in food and hygiene. read more

Ah, the views is perfect. This cafe is kissed by the fog most mornings. A loving kiss indeed. You can feel the positive vibe. The view us 5 stars, however the hot chocolate is only three stars. It is not easy to meet the 5-star threshold. I do admit I have high expectations. The chocolate should be scalding and almost syrupy. LOCATION: Lover's Point in Pacific Grove, CA. It's right off the water, you can't miss it. PARKING: There is a 2-hr public parking lot and 2-hr street parking. If it's tourist season, parking MAY be limited but there is usually a lot of parking available. FOOD: I ordered the Lover's Point Club. It has turkey, bacon, pickles, and aioli. It tasted good, but it definitely wasn't what I expected it to be. Usually when I think of a club sandwich I think of a layered sandwich with lettuce and tomato-- and overall full of fresh ingredients. This sandwich was very thin and so small. It does not come with a side. PRICE: This tiny sandwich was $13! I understand due to this place being conveniently off the water and mostly a spot for tourist that food pricing would be high. But, I can't justify this sandwich to be $13. I'm kicking myself in the butt for paying that much for a tiny sandwich while there were other places up the hill that probably had better quality and quantity of food for that price. SERVICE: The staff were nice. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I only came here because the cafe was conveniently off the biking trail, and I was in a rush to be somewhere. If I wasn't limited on time, I honestly would have picked somewhere else to eat. But, moving forward, I will not be back. With views like tiis you can easily forgive that and just enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a small snack to munch on. And it's so close to my favorite beach. You just cannot beat it. I really do enjoy the delicious muffins and occasionally a donut. But a bacon panini is what sends me back time and time again. Can't be beat!!! read more

Ordered a lovers point club sandwhich: ham, bacon, cheddar cheese and pickled on sourdough bread. My son ordered a ankle biter: ham and cheese with sourdough bread. Sandwiches were not a big size but it was flavorful and the bacon grease remaining in the samdwhchich when biting into it gave it a more burst of flavor I would have to say. Ordered an Americano and Belgian waffle. The coffee was very weak, not hot and honestly my hotel brew was better. The whole point of coming here was to get a hand pulled espresso beverage. Perhaps I could have poured it on the grass and moved on but this horrible little waffle committed me to providing some feedback. We come to the coast two or three times a year from Sacramento and have been for many years. We make it a point to have dinner at the Beach House each time we visit. The food is superb, the service is excellent. Nothing beats dining on their balcony at sunset. Try the Lover's Point pale ale it's excellent. read more
