I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This is my favorite Vegan Restaurant in many ways. It has the best service, best atmosphere - with plenty of room. But the best thing about Loving Hut is their large menu and the food. They service gigantic plates, quickly and they are always delicious! I started visiting Loving Hut when they first opened, and visit whenever I am in the area. Their hours are generous and just closed one day on Wednesday. I just can't say enough about how much I love Loving Hut! Try it and you'll get hooked too. The entire menu is vegan so you don't have to worry about anything. Restaurant has plenty of seating and allows you to pick your table. Kind of odd choice of decor (light up sign on the ceiling) and very plain environment (like a banquet hall before any decorations). The menu is thick, but there a small handful of dishes per page. The type of food is vegan Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and American. There some vegan goodies for dessert or snacks to buy at the front. Service is kind and attentive. We ordered golden beauty, which is a plant protein cooked in lemon grass and chilies. It was a bit dry and very salty, but tasted good. The joy chow fun had a nice smokey taste from being stir fried in a wok. The salt and pepper tofu had an interesting texture, nothing off putting just different than other fried tofu I have had. A nice restaurant to visit. Prices are reasonable, food is good, service is nice, plenty of parking even though shared with other establishments in the plaza, and they do not mind if you stay for a while even after the meal is over. read more

My wife and I tried their vegan version of Vietnamese pho and rice noodles. Didn't much care for it.

Last night, on December 20th, 2021...... my family and I chose Loving Hut for a delicious vegan dinner. I haven't been there in so long, it felt almost like a new visit. My mom raved about the sweet and sour chicken, which we all devoured! My wife ordered the veggie seitan style wraps and I had this huge bowl of Miso soup! Overall, we all agreed that the portion sizes are generous. Pricing was quite fair with all the inflation surrounding food costs currently. It felt nice to dine inside away from the bitter cold evenings. And customer service was very friendly and accommodating. We will most definitely be back for, if nothing else, that yummy yummy veggie style sweet n sour chicken!!! read more

I have been wanting to come to this restaurant. The inside is ok, for me I will just take out. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I ordered the curry rice, the cha cha and the Mongolian dish. The food was not good, the food was amazing. It was seasoned perfectly and extremely tasty. The best vegan I ever ate. I mean next level good. I will come here weekly from now on. Loving Hut is a Chinese Vegetarian Restaurant. The foods are different than the traditional Chinese restaurants. I love Chinese vegetarian restaurants. I have tried many in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and San Francisco Bay Area. I was excited when I decided to have dinner at Loving Hut. They have good reviews on Yelp! But I hear mixed opinions from my friends. I hope they are good. At least as good as those in San Francisco Bay Area. I don't expect Living Hut can be as good or better than the vegetarian restaurants in Hong Kong or Los Angeles. The restaurant is pretty busy when we walk into the dining room. The waiter told us to get any available table. We are seated without any wait. The waiter brings the water and menus to our table and returns in a couple of minutes. I told him we needed a little more time to decide. He is gone and never comes back. Weirdly, all the workers, including the two waiters, never look around to see if any of their customers need anything. I waited a long time and had to raise my voice, " excuse me," when the waiter came to drop off a dish at a table about 15 feet away. We finally ordered the food. They're doing same thing when we finish eating and try to pay our bill! Lol! The service at Loving Hut is below average. Even I compared it to the average Chinese restaurant's standard. I hope their foods are good. However, they are also below my expectations. Most of the items we ordered are too oily. I love Mongolian beef, so one of the dishes I order is the Mongolian Wonder (Vegetarian Beef), but they use a lot of Hoisin sauce. I like the taste of vegetarian beef. But not the over-sweetened Hoisin sauce. The dining room is very clean and well-lit, with almost no decoration other than the light fixtures with their logo on the ceiling. I hope they'll be able to improve their dishes to at least close to the level of the San Francisco Bay Area. Most of the restaurants in Sacramento are as good as in San Francisco now. I ate here for the first time and although the food was tasty, I found a piece of plastic in my won ton soup. Had I not had it in my mouth trying to chew it it would've accidentally been swallowed. I attached a picture for reference. I was with a friend and we ordered quite a few dishes totaling around $50. I've passed by The Loving Hut for years and never stopped by. I decided to stop by being newly vegan. Also, I was already traveling through the Elk Grove area. I stopped in and took a look at the menu; I ordered the cashew tofu and the golden sampler. I was impressed by the flavor of both dishes. In my personal opinion, the cashew tofu could use a little bit more salt/ black pepper or some kind of spice. Overall, I enjoyed my dishes and left me pretty stuffed in satisfaction. The service was friendly and pretty quick, my food was ready at the estimated time given to me. Also, they are not allowing indoor dining. Which is a shame, they have a nice sized dining space. It would have been would been nice to eat there in person. One day, that time will come!! I definitely look forward to ordering from them again. I grabbed a take home menu for future reference. The food is overpriced for the size of the small portions. I feel uncertain about the quality of the soy ingredients, since there are only general statements about organic "when available" and the potential use of hexane to process soy. My rice contained frozen peas and carrots, and it was dry. The chow mein was mushy, and again few vegetables. I had to ask for broccoli. The orange wonder was good, but again, I wonder how it was made. I had to ask for a water refill. Service was slow. My total for 3 items--mostly just cheap ingredients--rice and noodles--was $46.76. You might have to park kind of far away during a busy hour but on a not so busy day you can park right out front of the restaurant. Called in to order. 10-15 mins for a plate of spring rolls which is not an issue for me bcuz I called while On my way there. Pad Thai is surprisingly good! It has a good balance of flavors. Spicy Cha Cha was still very crunchy once even tho it got a bit cold but it was fine once we microwaved it. It was still crunchy after being microwaved too. I also made my own sauce for it ( vegan hoisin & sriracha) which was so good along with it. Although the name says spicy, it wasn't that spicy unless you eat the sliced jalapeño peppers but it wasn't that spicy either. Spring roll was good as usual & stuffed with fresh ingredients. Eating Only one filled up our tummies! Avocado shake tasted like avocado, it wasn't sweet or anything, it just tasted like a ripe buttery avocado that's turned into a drink. It's quite bland to me but I still loved it cuz who doesn't love avocado? Also I love their paper straws! Best vegan place I've tried so far with a reasonable price. PSA: everything is vegan (duh) and they have plenty of gluten free options (bless) !! Also they are to go only and closed all day wednesday. We got their fried rice and a cashew tofu (both gluten free), and it was $10.50 for the rice and $11 for the cashew tofu I think. Both were really good! As a person who doesn't mind not having meat, I didn't miss it. It was good! The fried rice was really well flavored (reminded me of kimchi fried rice bc it was a lil spicy and had cabbage lol), and had a lot of veggies! I just wish it had more tofu in it. The cashew tofu was also very good and well flavored, and they give a lot of cashews! Also their tofu is very firm and chewy - meant to be reminiscent of meat. Highly recomend coming here, they're very fast (we ordered there and got our food in like 15mins), and They offer a lot of meat alternatives (like stuff made with wheat/soy proteins and stuff!) for those who like meat. read more

First time trying loving hut restaurant! I didn't even know they had a whole ass restaurant... I've only tried the mini shops at the mall. We ordered the bun hue, garlic butter noodles, "egg rolls" and pad Thai. My sister didn't like the pad Thai because the sauce just tasted like sweet and sour sauce. The bun hue wasn't too bad for me. I usually don't eat a lot of meat in regular bun Bo hue (spicy beef noodles), so this was a good alternative. I wished the broth was more flavorful, but they did good for making it vegan. You can't mess up on the garlic butter noodles since it is what it is... haha. The egg rolls were probably the most flavorful vegan thing we had here. Nice peaceful place to have vegetarian food. My favorite is the claypot rice where there are clear noodles & rice at bottom. The only downside of this dish is a bit dry. Since noodles is a sauce sucker. We also order a papaya salad on the side (forgot to take pic) & the sauce goes well with the rice. You can ask the server to bring you some sauce on the side if you are not ordering anything saucy. The spicy cha cha shrimp was pretty good too, I can eat it all day long. Bun Bo Hue - Vietnamese "beef" noodle soup. Full of flavor from the spices and lemongrass. Thick vermicelli noodles and coupled with cabbage, herbs, and protein makes for a tasty dish. Came in today for lunch as I was in the area and mostly because I was craving barbecue vermicelli. I was waiting in the parking lot for about 30 minutes before they opened and As soon as 11 AM hit I was at the door walking in. I went in for dine in and ordered extra for to go. I ordered the royal noodles which is the spicy version of their Pho Au Lac. The broth is the same, the only difference is the spice that I asked to be put on a small dish so I can control the spice level. It uses a different type of noodles, more round. I prefer the noodles in the pho. BBQ Vermicelli as always is on point! They separated the grills so it's didnt get soggy. Bonus points for that gesture. Spicy Cha Cha--basically salt and pepper tofu but with batter half sliced shrimps. If you pay attention the shrimp is flat on one side--i don't think it was made that way. It must've been sliced to extend the portion out they're trying to save money. Either way the garnish is the same for tofu dish. It was good with the batter. It gave a nice crunch but I'd order the tofu for more portions. I'll ask for extra garnish next time. Aldo I don't understand why they would cut a hole for anything or fried, AND THEN PUT IT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PLASTIC BAG. It defeats the purpose of the holes dont it?
