One of the best slices on the upper east side! Perfectly crispy, saucy, and cheesy. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming too. Highly highly recommend if you're on the UES!
Very, very good slice of pizza that has a very well-baked and crispy crust and is delicious. The only thing that annoyed me was the giant basil leaf on top. They also drizzled some oil on it when it came out of the oven. Again, really good slice but it just seems a bit pretentious and kind of being something more than a slice shop, which is what it really is. Still a good size for a good price and very tasty so no complaints.
Dare I say the best pizza I've had in my life?! My boyfriend and I swung by to grab a quick dinner before seeing a movie. We ordered four slices of pizza to share: the mushroom, vodka with pepperoni, pepperoni, and plain cheese. It was genuinely hard to pick a favorite. The slices were prepared quickly. They were hot, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. I will be back the next time I'm in NYC.
Probably my favorite pizza place in the UES. Service very quick and a good amount of seating inside. The pizza is a bit on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it and better than those $1.50/slice places.

So, I figured that I should give it a try, and find out what it's all about. Well, my goodness: I'm so glad that I dared to stop inside. The service was both friendly and efficient -- even though there was quite a line inside around 6:30 PM (dinner rush)! I got a mushroom slice, and it was nothing short of fabulous! Also, I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the young man who rang me up at the front (I usually ask); but tbh, there was such a line behind me that I thought that asking his name and being chatty would be a hindrance to great service, at that moment. Though wish to mention that he greeted me with a warm smile -- despite the pizza rush hour, if you will -- and that counts for a whole lot. In summary, the vibe was right, the pizza was spot on (so chewy and delicious), and I would for sure return. And maybe they standardize their pricing or whatever, but for the UES, I thought it was an affordable bite (namely given the quality of it). Thanks for an awesome pizza experience, new friends! We tried several different slices and while they were all good the crunchy square has my heart forever! Place is smaller with limited seating but honestly such a vibe!! Very busy yet the staff was super nice!
My new favorite pizza spot in the UES and it's not even close. Thank you so much for gracing the UES with amazing pizza, I have been waiting for a place like this for so long. So so so good. The pizza here has always been fresh, made with care, and top notch ingredients. LOVE the little touch they add with the freshly grated parmesan and basil on top. It's a REALLY well balanced slice of pizza, with a nice density and crispiness to the crust, stretchy savory cheesiness, and sweet, but not too sweet savory tomato sauce that lets the quality of the tomatoes shine through. It's not tooo much on any of those three components for me and I think is in my top 10 pizza slices of NYC, period. They also have a marinara slice which is vegan if you have vegan friends you want to bring here but call and make sure they still have them.

Whether you go classic with a slice of margherita or try one of their specialty pies, you really can't go wrong. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, even when it's busy. It's the kind of place that hits the spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a casual night out. If you're a pizza lover, Lucia Pizza should definitely be on your list. Already planning my next visit!
Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. My fave pizza place is L'Industrie in Williamsburg as a barometer. Overall I think this place was good - thin and crunchy, good amount of cheese and toppings. My only qualm is that it wasn't very saucy, so the pizza felt a little dry for me personally. If you eat there, they will warm the pizza which was nice. No line. It's VERY casual inside - order at the front and there are a few tables inside. People come and go pretty quickly so if the tables are full when you arrive, give it a few minutes and they will likely open up. It wasn't my favorite pizza but if you're in the area and looking for a quick and easy lunch spot or craving pizza, it's worth a try!
The grandma is 10/10 just be ready for the garlic. This small place jams. We ordered two pies and waited forever but next time I would just get a slice or two that is on display. Regular slice had good flavor and no flop. The cheese seemed high quality and sauce had the perfect amount of sweetness. Love the fresh basil!

My first time ordering from this place I got the Salsiccia pizza which is just sausage whipped ricotta cheese and red onions. It was honestly the best, savoriest and hottest pizza I've had. Anything else I've ordered from there has been amazing. 10/10
I count Lucia among my favorite pizzerias in New York City. Every element, from the crust to the cheese, was phenomenal, and writing this review now has me salivating. The crust is the perfect balance of pliable yet firm, and they do say a hallmark of the perfect crust is its foldability. The cheese was melty and glistened with grease coming from the thick cups of pepperoni scattered across the slice. The basil was a nice touch, and it was toasted perfectly. I love Lucia's pizza. I'll be coming back here for a slice. read more

My new favorite pizza spot in the UES! Crust is thin and crispy and hold up well. All the slices they are are excellent. Whatever your favorite toppings are, get it. I've tried the spicy pepperoni, mushroom, potato, and sausage slices. I can't wait to go back to try their square/thick slices soon! read more
I had to stop by at this new UES location to see if the slice lived up to the hype. The good news is that it sure did! The crust folded perfectly and the pizza tip stayed sturdy, but without the crust being too hard. Just the right amount of everything and the basil leaves really add a great surprise of flavor in some bites. The slice with toppings is double the plain price, but it's worth it. The place can get busy, so try and come in off hours. I got a chair and ate inside. I didn't feel rushed to leave at all. I will definitely be back. read more

They sell beautiful pizza. The vibe of the restaurant is fun. It's a real scene of the Upper East Side. Expect to eat your pizza next to Mom's with Chanel bags and kids in Private School uniforms. read more

Must-try pizza joint! I stopped in on a weekend afternoon. It's a small space with a good amount of seating. I ordered the vodka slice and the pepperoni slice for dine-in. Service was excellent, and both slices came out piping hot. The pepperoni slice was my favorite. Absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and crispy. The vodka slice was solid, but the pepperoni slice is the one to write home about! I plan to return to try other slices. Highly recommend checking out Lucia Pizza! read more
Must try: Poblano Funghi! Why: Loved the Poblano Funghi with Mushroom, Provolone, and Problano Pepper Crema - delish! Also got a slice of Pepperoni and they added a basil leaf, nice touch! Notes: Great pizza addition to UES! Small and clean shop with a handful of tables for a quick bite. A friend raved about it and finally took me there to try after an exhausting workout. Welcoming environment and friendly staff. Very accommodating and great customer service. They slightly burnt the bottom of my Pepperoni slice and immediately heated up a new one after apologizing. Food is great when you want a single slice. However, when ordering a full pie, especially delivery and you can't see it being made or you can't confront how it was cooked when picking it up the service/food quality dwindles. I ordered a vodka pie and the entire thing was burned. Cost $78 just for this pie to get to my apt, just for it to be completely burned on the bottom and somewhat on the top. Also, if you can help it this location gets really busy maybe just go to a different pizza joint because your service will be impacted by that read more

Got a huge pie to share with my friends and we got half pepperoni and half caramelle piccante. Overall, the pizza was pretty good! I normally don't eat the crust of the pizza but this crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was my first time trying hot honey and I was surprised by how well it went with the freshness of the basil and the tanginess of the tomato sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the cherry pepper on the pizza so I probably will just get a pepperoni slice and add honey on it myself. Would recommend! read more

I am so excited the Lucia opened in the upper east side! We have very limited quality slice shops above 86th street, so I had been anticipating their opening since I saw the signage on their storefront. I visited for their soft opening the week before they opened and was able to get a small slice of their grandma pie. Everyone working there was so friendly, and it was so nice that they were offering free slices before opening! They have a few tables if you want to eat at the pizza shop, but they also offer to-go and delivery. For reference, the below picture is smaller than a standard slice, it was just for their soft opening - but even having that bit of pizza, it has locked itself in as my favorite pizza in the UES! read more

Solid thin crust pizza that just opened recently on the UES! Love the options they have for full pies as well as slices and square slices. There was no line when I went in during the afternoon on a weekday, and my slices were heated up and ready in under 5 minutes. I went with a vodka slice and a spinach slice and took both of them home to eat. Since it was cold, they cooled down quite a bit during the travel so I stuck them in the toaster for a couple minutes. Here's what I'll say. I think these slices would be a million times better if you just eat them immediately when they're handed to you. The reheating makes the crust super hard and made the slices taste as if they'd been in the fridge for a couple days. And this was after I'd just taken them home. So yeah definitely not their fault because I could taste how good it would be, but would absolutely recommend eating them ASAP! read more

Food: Stopped by to get a quick bite to eat. They have so many varieties to choose from and I wish I researched better, so I decided to play it safe and just get a slice of pepperoni. For $6, it's a bit on the pricy side, especially when the plain is $3.50 but that's fine. Coming out hot and fresh, sprinkled with parm, and topped with leaves of basil, it looked like a masterpiece to a hungry soul. The taste overall was really great and definitely the best I've had in the Upper East. The texture was perfect for me as it was thin and crisp on the bottom but not over done. It still had a great supple quality to it. A solid neighborhood slice. Service: Pretty standard, nothing crazy. The wait was pretty quick, only a couple minutes. Ambiance: a nice classic clean pizza shop look with a large counter and a few tables. Nothing crazy. read more

Amazing new pizza place on the UES. Getting a lot of hype, and this place deserves it. Some people online complained that the pies take a while for delivery, but that's because they're VERY busy inside (also this place just opened and I'm sure they're working out kinks). I went in and just got a slice and didn't have to wait long. Staff was very nice. Ordered the pepperoni, jalapeño, and hot honey slice. Holy cow this was amazing. 10/10 recommend read more

Im glad that a decent pizza place opened in Yorkville. Another good one is Mimi's on 86th but other places near my house have been quite disappointing. I took Vodka pizza slice and I liked the fact that they used very fresh basil on top. The crust is crispy and it is not greasy, oily at all. My NYC favorite is still l'industrie in West Village but I am happy that we got a decent one in Yorkville! read more
Since their opening, every time I have passed this location the line was out the door. I called on a Monday at 5:45 pm to put in an order for a plain pie. They quoted me a 25 min wait. When I got there, there was only one person in line. I got in line and paid for my pie, I then waited for it. For orientation, because a lot of times you can't even see the front of the place -when you enter, the cashier is on the left. All the people standing on the right are waiting for the pies and slices. There are tables scattered throughout the place but the seating is a little uncomfortable because there will be many people towering over you trying to get their slice. I got my pie at the 25 min quoted time frame and from my observations, they are pretty timely with all their pie time quotes. It is freezing cold outside, it snowed earlier today. We all know you have to eat pizza hot and you can't let the box steam up. So, I literally am running home with this pizza box. The verdict - the sauce is very tangy, I like that. It has the NY slice crunch, no flop. The slice is quite thin. I personally feel there is not enough cheese and it is little too cooked for me, but that seems to be the style. My toddler has approved the pizza and she only eats good pizza. I will be returning and will try to eat some slices in house! read more
Decent pizza spot on the upper east side! Went in the early afternoon and there was no line so we walked right in. The highlight was definitely the vodka pepperoni sicilian slice. The potato and onion was interesting and the salsiccia was also pretty tasty. A good spot to grab a quick slice if you happen to be in the area. read more
Absolutely LOVED Lucia, my second favorite Alice in the city. Staff is very nice, service is quick, the restaurant is clean. We tried 3 slices but my favorite one was the new one, The Fiel Pig with Mikes hot honey. Slices are big and filled with toppings, they are not shy about that at all. read more
