Very, very good slice of pizza that has a very well-baked and crispy crust and is delicious. The only thing that annoyed me was the giant basil leaf on top. They also drizzled some oil on it when it came out of the oven. Also, I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the young man who rang me up at the front (I usually ask); but tbh, there was such a line behind me that I thought that asking his name and being chatty would be a hindrance to great service, at that moment. Though wish to mention that he greeted me with a warm smile -- despite the pizza rush hour, if you will -- and that counts for a whole lot. However, when ordering a full pie, especially delivery and you can't see it being made or you can't confront how it was cooked when picking it up the service/food quality dwindles. We have very limited quality slice shops above 86th street, so I had been anticipating their opening since I saw the signage on their storefront. I visited for their soft opening the week before they opened and was able to get a small slice of their grandma pie. Solid thin crust pizza that just opened recently on the UES! Love the options they have for full pies as well as slices and square slices. There was no line when I went in during the afternoon on a weekday, and my slices were heated up and ready in under 5 minutes. I went with a vodka slice and a spinach slice and took both of them home to eat. Since it was cold, they cooled down quite a bit during the travel so I stuck them in the toaster for a couple minutes. Here's what I'll say. I think these slices would be a million times better if you just eat them immediately when they're handed to you. The reheating makes the crust super hard and made the slices taste as if they'd been in the fridge for a couple days. And this was after I'd just taken them home. Since their opening, every time I have passed this location the line was out the door. I called on a Monday at 5:45 pm to put in an order for a plain pie. They quoted me a 25 min wait. When I got there, there was only one person in line. I got in line and paid for my pie, I then waited for it. For orientation, because a lot of times you can't even see the front of the place -when you enter, the cashier is on the left. All the people standing on the right are waiting for the pies and slices. There are tables scattered throughout the place but the seating is a little uncomfortable because there will be many people towering over you trying to get their slice. I got my pie at the 25 min quoted time frame and from my observations, they are pretty timely with all their pie time quotes. It is freezing cold outside, it snowed earlier today. We all know you have to eat pizza hot and you can't let the box steam up. So, I literally am running home with this pizza box. The verdict - the sauce is very tangy, I like that. It has the NY slice crunch, no flop. The slice is quite thin. I personally feel there is not enough cheese and it is little too cooked for me, but that seems to be the style. My toddler has approved the pizza and she only eats good pizza. I will be returning and will try to eat some slices in house! read more

You can tell they use quality ingredients. I love that the slices are light crunchy and flavorful. Not pictured but have tried the spinach slice, vodka slice, grandma and NY slice. But if I had to choose two staples, I'd say clam and margherita. The clam slice was garlicky deliciousness with a wee bit of toasted breadcrumbs a squeeze of lemon. Not a lot of clams on the pie but just enough to be balanced. Added a drizzle of their chili oil (but it wasn't spicy).
