Wife and I dropped in here for the first t8me this Friday evening as a totally impromptu Plan B after finding one of our fav places closed for some remodeling and the first alternative we went to had a wait list. So Glad we tried Luccia's. We snagged the last two seats at the casually elegant bar in the cozy lounge side of the restaurant. We were given great attention by three different bar tenders / servers (notably, Jeff and Natalie) who we learned had each been there for over 6 or 7 years - always a good sign when restaurant employees stick around that long as it typically shows the establishment is well run and stays busy enough to keep the help happy and making good money. Everyone we encountered was very attentive and service-oriented. We each had a couple glasses of wine, the meatball appetizer and shared a fish dinner which came with a nice salad and some fresh cut fries. Everything was very tasty with nice portions for the price and our special preparation requests were all perfectly accommodated. By the time we were done dining, the place was completely full and bustling. Fortunately our arrival timing was perfect to get a seat before we were shut out. My husband and I came here last night for the first time, the atmosphere is very nice and inviting. I did make a reservation and we got seated right away. Our waiter was very friendly, he helped us out by giving us his recommendations for drinks and food. I ordered the frisky whiskey while my husband got the house margarita, and man they were strong but good! The little provolone pizzolas were lightly breaded and fried nicely. I ordered the special which was the bacon salmon with a Petite Fillet covered in a hollidasie sauce. Now I am not a salmon person but this was amazing, the fillet was cooked the way I ordered flavor was also delish. It was suggested that I visit this place by a local, and the steaks are the best in town. So naturally I had to give it a try. I had my eye set on the filet, but after speaking with the server, he said the strip was what keeps people coming back. So I ordered the strip with a side of broccoli. The steak was prepared perfectly (medium rare). I have not visited any of the other local steak houses, but this one is fantastic! I see why this is a local favorite, and definitely recommend stopping by. read more

There is really no reason to eat here other than the fact that the wait staff is all really friendly. Buy yourself a cheap steak from the store and season it with salt and pepper and you will have a better meal for 1/4th of the cost. Two stars though because the garlic bread is good. read more

Had 8:00 dinner reservations. We were given water then server disappeared. Someone refilled water , still no server for initial drinks ( nor food order). Asked another server off our server... nothing. Instead of leaving we went to bar. Had filet as well as the blknd chicken alfredo. Food was very good , bread was amazing. Sometimes when you're at a restaurant for a private party, the quality of the food and service takes a hit because of the size of the crowd. Definitely not the case at Lucia's. My family hosted the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding at Lucia's and the restaurant was not only easy to work with, but the event was fabulous. The staff was attentive and at the same time, made their presence relatively unknown, as they respected that it was an intimate, family affair. It was the perfect place to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law's impending marriage and the joining of our families. The food was outstanding and left everyone more than satisfied. With the entree selections of chicken parmigiana, penne and strip steak, how could you go wrong? Of course, being the carnivore I am, I went with the strip, and it was cooked to a perfectly medium temperature. It was like butter. I wasn't crazy about the sides (broccoli and a baked potato) but it didn't matter -- dessert more than made up for it. The chocolate mousse was to die for; the texture was light and fluffy, but still tasted extremely rich. If you're looking to plan a special evening or private party, Lucia's is a great choice. You'll not only have the perfect atmosphere to entertain your guests, but the food will leave them impressed as well. read more

Have had the filet and the strip. They are both so good I have trouble giving them up to try one of the Italian entrees. The quality of the meat is prime and it is aged well. Cooked perfectly with a nice crust. I am not a fan of Baker's on the south side. This is one of the two best steaks in Canton as far as I am concerned. Lucca is the other. The hot peppers go great with the steaks. The bread they supply is crusty on the outside and light and chewy on the inside. The white French and the red Roquefort dressing are both fantastic. My wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was great. The service was great. The courses came out timely to allow us to celebrate our marriage. We were celebrating a birthday at the restaurant, which is normally a wonderful experience. It was apparent that something was very different that night. We found out during the course of our dinner that Mary Ann, the General Manager, was no longer working there. It was evident. Normally when you told them there was a special celebration, they would go the extra mile to make it extra special. We didn't even get a Happy Birthday. Mind you, the dinner was good as always, but a dinner is only a dinner without the personal experience. Mary Ann brought the personal experience to the meals at Lucia's. We've been coming to Lucia's for thirty years. Unless we notice dramatic changes during our next visit, we may not be back. read more

My fiancé and I went here to celebrate a recent promotion and we were both underwhelmed with our first visit. We order the small meat and cheese appetizer which was $12 and featured only one aged provolone cheese and mostly canned artichokes opposed to olives as the description read. An appetizer always serves as a taste testing ahead of the main course which significantly underwhelmed our experience and we contemplated leaving without ordering our entrees. My salad appears to be bagged salad with a house dressing that tasted like plain olive oil. Fortunately, the steak entree itself was tender although I requested medium and received medium well to well done. We stopped into this hidden gem on Friday night. We ordered the Ribeye with french fries, and salad. It was delicious. We also ordered Wedding soup. It was good but was nothing like Wedding soup. If you are a stickler with the original recipe I wouldn't recommend. Overall we were very happy and plan to return. We were in Canton for two nights for work and spent both of them eating at Lucia's. Everyone we asked told us to come here and everyone was right. The service was terrific and friendly, but the steak...wow. Perhaps the best I've ever had. Cooked exactly right and beautiful texture and flavor. Apparently, there's an Amish farm a few miles away that supplies the beef. The sides are great and the bartender has a heavy hand with the bourbons. I doubt I'll make it to Canton again, but if I do, I will eat as many meals as I can at Lucia's. read more

Just had a business dinner here. The recommendations were predictably the most expensive entrees. I can't speak for the Boston Strip Streak, as my business traveling companion ordered that and raved. I can say this: ORDER THE CHILEAN SEA BASS. Get the side of linguine Alfredo. I am a cook at heart and a foodie at soul. This meal was AMAZING. 5 star for me. Hidden gem. Definitely social distancing for sure with the tables. The decor is nice and calming. The waitress wore a mask and was very knowledgable. Everything is clean. It smelled amazing outside and inside upon entering. My fiancée ordered a "frisky whiskey" drink and it was very peachy and delicious. He's not a big drinker and he loved it. We ordered a Brie cheese appetizer that came with grapes, strawberries and crackers. It was melty and delicious. We both enjoyed our salad dressing. Salad comes with your entree for the most part. The house Roquefort dressing was amazing. Salad was crispy and fresh. We both got large filets. Perfectly cooked and broiled with garlic butter on top, "Lucia Style". My fiancé had his filet topped with lobster and avocado salsa. He lovvvved it! I got a side of sautéed spinach which was the best side vegetable I've ever had. So good! I also ordered a side of the homemade cavatelli with red sauce. I ALSO ordered a crab cake with my meal. Don't worry, I didn't eat all this food but everything looked so good. Menu was hard to choose from because the choices were amazing Also hot and the pasta was little pillows of heaven. We will definitely be back. The only negative is that the desserts aren't made in house. It doesn't mean they aren't good but It definitely prevented me from splurging on that as well. Had reservations here Saturday night and got right in. We ordered an appetizer that was on special, medium peppers stuffed with chorizo and topped off with cheese and a marinara sauce. The appetizer was very good yet it was not stuffed with chorizo, more like a sweet Italian sausage. I had the filet that was cooked wonderfully with home fries that were amazing. Our son was getting married on September 28th and we had a dilemma. How do you plan a rehearsal dinner in OH when the groom's parents live in NJ? So I called Lucia's Steakhouse after reviewing it on line and through two personal recommendations. We made a reservation with Mary Ann and her staff to sample the chosen menu items. The appetizers, entrees and desert were absolutely mouth watering. We were given a tour of the private room for our party and it too was very nice. We took the leftovers back with us for our son and daughter-in-law to sample that evening and they were impressed. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate the impending wedding. From the moment we arrived earlier in the evening to 'checkout' the venue, Rob and Josh could not have been more helpful and accommodating. For dinner that evening, the service was perfect and the food was amazing. They exceeded our expectations. We have received so many compliments on our choice for that evening.
